For $15 a pop, I expect a nice big overflowing Philly or at least a side with my sandwich - this unfortunately was neither. It still tasted good but was rather mediocre. Kinda like if I grabbed a small hoagie roll from the store, cut up some beef strips, and added some peppers/onions, and cheese... nothing special and not bang for buck. It was clear as we sat down that this is where the locals eat We sat out on the patio and appreciated the 6 foot hedge to provide us some privacy and we started with their nachos. They dust their chips with a signature blend of spices that made them so good. My wife got the Saloon burger, my son got the buffalo chicken sandwich & fries, with the same dusting that was on the nachos, and I got the southwestern salad. None of us could finish our meals given the portions that are served. Tasha who took care of us, while training another, did a fantastic job and was so attentive and sweet. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself.
