But I did. So now I'll have to go back. We did a reservation for the first seating, 11am. I had seen reviews mentioning a parking garage, but didn't see one that looked obviously public so we valeted ($7, not bad, but I think there was a sign that said you couldn't venmo or something so take cash just in case). There were a lot of people crowding in the entryway waiting for seating time to begin, but once the clock struck we were all sat pretty quickly; and we were able to walk around beforehand and see the offerings, which was nice. I went for the snow crabs as always. The melted butter was in a crock pot instead of a pour spout, which I really appreciated because it still had all the... butter fat? I'm not sure what it's called, but I hate when it's separated out. I also went a little crazy on the "daily" specials menu (also included, don't worry); our server suggested two at a time to start. I think i started with 5. The only one that let me down was the Korean sticky rib, which was very dry and overcooked. Speaking of our server, he was fantastic. He figured out the game pretty quickly and refilled our mimosas at about the halfway point. Mostly champagne with a splash of orange juice. The entire restaurant was buzzing with people, but you were never bumping into anyone and you could carry conversation at a normal volume. On the food side, I think there was too much to note all of it, so I hope all the pictures help! Everything we ate (aside from the rib) we enjoyed. This just took over the Hard Rock brunch at Kuro for my first choice (which is great, because this one was only $80 or $85, compared to their $145 last I checked). Make a reservation, and enjoy.

We didn't have a lot of time because our server James was quick to take our orders, present our food, fold napkins when we left the table, and keep our Sunday brunch champagne glasses filled. I enjoyed brunch with 4 friends. The Sunday brunch offers a lot of meat for a seafood restaurant, so everyone had satisfying choices. There's a breakfast food area, salad/soup bar, carving station, raw bar, dessert bar, etc. I enjoyed the fresh salmon sushi. But I came for the oysters and crab. The ice cold snow crab was juicy and big. It was so popular that twice I saw employees refilling the ice bed! But the oysters. They were surprisingly wonderful because I prefer the sweet small oysters from the West. But these Gwynn Island Virginia oysters were small like West coast oysters and sweet, briny and plump. The brunch is split into a buffet and table service. We started out ordering from the menu, like an ice breaker to brunch! I ordered the stuffed bay scallops served in a scallop shell and it was very good. I also ordered the oysters Rockefeller and liked the shrimp that garnished it. My friends ordered everything from Korean super sticky ribs, several orders of crab cakes, to salmon sliders. If you order the salmon slider, know it has tomato jam and sweet onion on it. It was sweeter than I expected. But the salmon from the carving station was just delicious. Jay, the manager, was so engaging. He was near the raw bar and took interest in why I asked if there were West coast oysters. Later, he was curious as to why my friend determined to take so many crab legs. She put several on my plate! I assume that was her plan all along. Boy did I eat a lotta crab! James delivered two bowls of fresh towels to our table, so I wasn't the only one digging into the seafood. I notice that Jay is very aware of what is happening during brunch, that's great because everything stays on track. There are many options but how much can ya eat, especially when I dug into the seafood? So I had a couple more flutes of brut champagne and then got a dessert plate from the buffet. Yes, a plate! Ok, my husband and I each got a plate and tasted a lot. Let's just leave it at that! The miniature cups of passionfruit custard pie and key lime pie earned their spots. The truffles and chocolate lava cake had the same thick chocolate filling so they tasted good but remained on the plate, as did the creme brulé because it had a bit of watery custard under the sugar crust. The rest of the custard had set. The raspberry lemon cheesecake was delicious and went missing from the plate! So its hit and miss but there are so many desserts - so many I didn't taste - that you're bound to find many that you love! Unsung heroes like the buser whose name I didn't get, who smoothly explained how the brunch works while filling 2 of our 5 water glasses, should be a server. He was gone in a moment. His uniform didn't have a name tag because the restaurant doesn't use them. I wish they did so I could recognize him here. And sometimes guests are so focused on all the delicious choices that they forget their service team member's names, so its easier to read a name tag than have to have to remember. My go to is the blackened fish sandwich with mango chutney sauce! Their French fries are so good! Sounds silly because I've probably eaten a zillion fries in my lifetime but they are delicious. One of my sons is a fan of the triple threat burger, another one loves the cheesesteak and one of the wraps. The wings are great. I don't eat coconut but I have a friend who loves the coconut shrimp. Plus who can argue with a frozen drink on the beach. This is a consistently great place, excellent atmosphere for family, children, friends, date night. Did I mention they have a swing and live music? The bar is lively. And has all the games on the TV's They do not take reservations but we have never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a table. Experiencing conflicting appetizer choices, we asked our amazing server for his recommendation. Anyone who can rock a handlebar mustache is amazing in our books! His choice--Tuna Crudo.
