I'm a big fan of this shopping center. It has lots of local specialty shops and chains as well as…read moresome great local restaurants and it's huge. I mean, H-U-G-E. It's so big it has several roads and stoplights in an out and is split into Hilltop North, West, South, etc. Due to the road construction and the access roads, I suggest you enter and exit at stoplights to save yourself the road rage. There is plenty of parking and it's an easy park and walk shopping center. You can come here and spend hours and hours shopping. There are restaurants for snacks and meals while you shop like Baker's Crust, Fruitive, Taste, etc. and there are places for grab and go items too like Fresh Market or a coffee from Roast Rider. For more upscale there is Blue Fin and Butcher's Son and Melting Pot. My favorite furniture store is here after moving out of the huge spot they held at Town Center a few years ago, Ethan Allan, as well as a few more speciality home decor places like Kitchen Barn. There are tons and tons of salons and spa and nail places as well as an optometrist, tailors, and men's and women's specialty clothing stores like Bridal, etc. There are a bunch of places to shop for gifts and home decor including a Hallmark store and a few locally owned shops, my faves are Be Jeweled and Wild Birds Unlimited (not just for bird stuff trust me). There are also some specialty fitness places like a newer Cycle Bar I saw last time I was there, as well as Trek bicycle shop and a Great Outdoor Provision Co store and the only Athleta store in VAB I think. There are also several banks (like 5!) and a CVS and Rite Aid so you can get some prescriptions and drop off deposits (or get more money) while you're here! I love coming over here for a day of shopping, snacks, and spoiling myself. If you have friends or family from out of town or you're looking for something specific but don't have time to run all over, you can probably get most things done in just this one spot. While I am sad and inconvenienced by Starbucks' departure, the shopping center offers plenty. CVS, Hallmark, and The Fresh Market are among my most frequent visits. Adele Diamond is the best jewelry store with amazing owners and fantastic staff. There are also a few restaurants and bakeries to enjoy. When I had a gym membership, I frequented the YMCA.

Before I retired I worked in the strip center across the ring road. Looking out the glass windows, the store was what we saw. It was also our entrance into the Mall. When the space was converted from Hecht's to Dillard's, it was basically demolished and rebuilt. The timing held historical significance. While everyone stood around the television at work watching the horrors of 9/11 unfold, the background out the window was a view of demolition. Dillard's as an anchor of Lynnhaven Mall is a nice department store with a wide range of choices. It serves a larger customer base since the closure of their MacArthur Mall store. The layout allows for an ease of shopping. The store is clean and well kept. Service is spotty, as is the case with most department stores these days. The value is in the quality of the merchandise sold rather than the price. Except for holidays, parking is plentiful. You'll never find me in Dillard's over the holiday season.

The hoisery department was my primary department and back then hose was a popular item! We had senior discounts and sales and the department often got really busy which was great because the shift would fly by! The management were all kind and the other sales associates were, too! The patrons were nearly all great to help and deal with! I especially enjoyed the employee discount I got and was able to get Christmas gifts at a deep discount because of that! Thanks Dillard's for offering me an opportunity to work there and enjoy deeply discounted shopping and extra income!

We were out looking for backpacks. So we stopped at Ross to see what they have. Ross normally has…read morenice things for reasonable prices. I mean good stuff. When you walk in don't expect to be greeted. This isn't that type of store. They're normally busy and there's always a line. I've never been and there not be a line. They have shoes, purse's, backpacks, baby stuff, housewares, clothing, coffee, teas, and more. Oh how i do love Ross!! Lol. Can you tell? They had some beautiful artwork in there. I could easily decorate the house with everything in there. The clothing section used to be my favorite, but i did notice the plus size section is looking a little skimp. Maybe its a shipment issue, idk but it didn't seem like alot of choices. I was just in Burlington earlier and it appears they have a good amount of the same things Ross had... They're right next door to each other. Whenever i wanna try different types of water i always check Ross. They always have them in the front. Alkaline water, Voss, and other types. They also have Starbucks coffee sometimes, for a good price. The mens clothing section had a lot of nice clothing. It was pretty well stocked over there. They have fitting rooms and restrooms in the back. This store has something for everyone. It wasn't the most organized in there, but i kinda expect that from stores like this. Its high traffic and stuff isn't organized on alot of shelves. But that is part of the fun of looking and finding i guess. The cashier who checked me out was nice. She answered my questions and helped me find the prices on a few things. The line moved pretty quickly today so i was happy with that. I'll certainly return!!!

Looks like your typical Ross store. I did find some nice Yankee Candles, Quadratini wafer cookies, a strawberry summer dress, and a lace duster on clearance. This visit was on a Sunday and I didn't expect there to be alot of people in there but when we got to the cashier line it was pretty long, so long that they announced that if we had clothes with hangers could we please remove them off the hangers in an effort to speed up checkout. Geez. The cashier that handled us was polite, fast, and we were on our way out.

I like these shops! This spot has treated me well through the years…read more I love the Aldo's family-run restaurant here for a great meal. I've brought family and friends here, had date nights for my birthday or anniversaries or special occasions, and come here to carb-load before running weekends. There is a Nothing Bundt Cakes here and they have the best cakes I've ever had so I always stop to get these for special occasions and they're the only cakes I want for my birthday. There is a Chico's here which now also sells Soma Intimates from their sister brand. There is also a shop right beside Chico's which exclusively sells Lily Pulitzer clothing and has some seriously gorgeous and colorful and fun clothing inside. Some of the spots have changed on and off throughout the years: a coffee shop, bridal shops (this is where I got a stunning wedding dress for my 2015 wedding). Parking is easy, there is plenty, and it's always immaculate. This is a great spot with some nice, niche shops and Aldo's is one of my favorite local restaurants. Service is always excellent and food is top notch! The only issue is the access roads off Laskin, but they're working on those and hopefully all will be better in coming years.
