If you're looking for a 5 star full-service hotel, this isn't it. If you're looking for an apartment where the locals live this is your place.
It was decorated exactly as advertised. There aren't 20 electrical outlets, but there are enough to power your phone and computer. There isn't Internet in the room, but you can get a signal downstairs. When you're down there you can use the clothes washing facilities ($2 wash) and there are mailboxes. There is round the clock security. Take your key everywhere because you need them coming AND going FYI.
The kitchenette has an apartment sized refrigerator and stove. There are ample cooking tools if you desire to make your own meals. There are also a bunch of restaurants within a stones throw including American chains. I pretty much stuck with local places. Per my own experience the people in the building don't speak a lot of English, but they're very friendly.
Walgreens is a 3 minute walk, and another small grocery store across the street along with a bunch of souvenir shops. Almost anything you need are
minutes away.
The view from the balcony is gorgeous. That was probably the 1st thing I noticed walking in. It's tastefully decorated, and a half block from the beach. I'm not into sunning, but I really enjoyed the view from the balcony having coffee or a cocktail.
Check in was easy with Green Island realty on premises. They gave good instructions. There is an iron, but no blow dryer (again not a hotel), an iron, and ample towels.
For a local experience I would recommend it. If you want to be pampered, look elsewhere. I like it, and would stay again. Be sure to bring toiletries as there was only a small bar of soap. read more
