The Island Body & Sol Spa is located at "the Moorings". This is a gorgeous property. If you get a massage here but do not stay here you will be feeling a little sad. We were led to a covered platform where 2 massage tables were set up with white privacy curtains. It was very Caribbean feeling which I loved. Natalie & Linda were our massage therapists. They were very nice. The massages however we both agreed the actual massage we very lack luster. Key points** if you get a massage on the beach you are paying for the view and feeling of being outside to the massage. I'm glad we did it but we will not be back. I need more umph in my massage! I'd rather pay that kind of money and be in a room than be yearning for more on an amazing beach.

The only thing that could've made this better would've been some champagne and being able to lounge by the ocean a little bit longer after our massage. Lisa relayed her price, time and how to get her access to our gated community. I was able to text her specifics after we hung up. My husband and I have each had many massages so we have a point of reference. (My last massage while on vacation was awful). Lisa brought meditation music with her along with her table, oils, etc.. My husband had hour #1. His feedback is that Lisa was consistent in her pressure level and introduced him new massage techniques on his face and hands. He was thoroughly relaxed and loved it. The massage itself was PAINFUL. Would not listen to me, as I asked over and over again for lighter pressure. Both masseuses (did a couples massage in 1 room) took phone calls and talked the entire time. The one with my partner touched him inappropriately more than once (per him). We left with multiple bruises. On our way out, they decided to tell us we only paid for half the massage. When I first got there the foot bath had a used plastic basin cover still sitting in it and I had to tell the man to change it before he started my pedicure and that it was dirty and used. He changed it but was prepared to use the same one that had already been used. I watched the woman who works there dip her tools in dirty foot bath water, including the white jet cover, and set it to the side. Not cleaned. The tools she used on me were used on the person before me. She dipped them in water where my feet had been soaking and dried them on the towel my feet were at and tossed them in her bin. This was the same thing that was done with the woman prior to me. It didn't register right away what had happened but then I asked her if they were the same tools and she said yes. I then spoke with the male at the front desk and explained this to him and he didn't deny this. He said something to her about it and did not seem surprised at all about this.

We went to one of the little restaurants to have lunch as soon as we arrived, it was empty for it to be a Sunday, but it was still a great experience. One of our favorite things was the loaded nachos with Mojitos. The next day we were able to enjoy the pool in the beach while having bar service available if we needed it. The rooms were clean and organized, and we had a great partial view of the bay. we will definitely recommend to come here with family or friends or for a weekend getaway.

The room was nice, spacious bathroom, comfy bed. No complaints on the room. I do feel like the cost per night is a little over priced. $364 was for one night (includes taxes and fees) felt that was a little steep but it's what's to be expected coming to the keys.
