There was a woman two seats away from me getting a pedicure. There are usually only two or three employees working here. Long wait times typically. Because I was waiting longer than usual I was paying more attention to the employees. When I first got there the foot bath had a used plastic basin cover still sitting in it and I had to tell the man to change it before he started my pedicure and that it was dirty and used. He changed it but was prepared to use the same one that had already been used. I watched the woman who works there dip her tools in dirty foot bath water, including the white jet cover, and set it to the side. Not cleaned. The tools she used on me were used on the person before me. She dipped them in water where my feet had been soaking and dried them on the towel my feet were at and tossed them in her bin. This was the same thing that was done with the woman prior to me. It didn't register right away what had happened but then I asked her if they were the same tools and she said yes. I then spoke with the male at the front desk and explained this to him and he didn't deny this. He said something to her about it and did not seem surprised at all about this. read more

I called ahead of time and told them exactly what I wanted (gel manicure and regular pedicure I had gel on my toes but I did not want gel again so I made sure to ask if it would be extra to remove it and she said $5 extra) and asked how much it would be. They said $45. I got there and did my service. (Which she cut me a bunch and 3 days later my toes are already chipping and my feet are peeling and look worse than they did before) when it was time to pay she told me $65 and I asked why and she said $5 extra for removal of gel (if it was $5 more than the $45 she quoted me on the phone before I arrived it would only be $50) I was in a rush and didn't have time to argue so I paid it and left. But I could not recommend this place or I would be sure to confirm the price in person BEFORE starting your service. read more

My daughter and I had wonderful experience at Allure Nails Spa last night. It was glorious! We had pedicures and felt so relaxing like a spa should. Best pedicures we've ever had. Stay away from this place. Came to get a dip manicure with tips. Did not get a manicure or tips as I don't think the man understood me. The equipment wasn't very clean either and the sanitary measures of this place are questionable. Nails were filed down to the quick and were bleeding the next day. Went to get an acrylic full set done for the first time here. I always get acrylics done and i've never had such a terrible experience. The entire time, i would have to ask her to fix something like the shape or length, and she just didn't understand what i was asking. The lengths and shapes are all different, they're extremely thick, and she wouldn't fix anything. I was trying to guide her through the manicure the entire time, to the point where i asked to file them myself to try and save the shape. Then, the color i asked for when she gave me the pallet with all the options, is not the color she brought me. I asked her to find the right color and i just gave up because she kept bringing different colors that SHE though would look cute. I went in asking for purple... I wanted them much longer, and oval. Every time i asked her to fix the shape she just kept shortening them more and more without actually fixing them. She also got the acrylic all over my skin and nails, and when i asked her to get it off of my skin, she used the power file drill- on my skin- and used the cuticle clipper. She was nipping my skin and i asked her to stop using the clipper. THEN she did 5 layers of color and 3 layers of top coat. it got to the point where i had to say that i think it's enough. I was cringing and extremely uncomfortable the entire time. To top it all off, it took 2 hours and 20 minutes for only this. I've never been at a nail salon so long even when i've done a full set and pedicure. I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. read more

Paying $30 for a pedicure is reasonable but not in and out in 25 minutes... and looking closer at my toe bails I'm truly disappointed! Some nails are missing nail polish... not entirely painted:( And I paid with 2 $20 bills and it was taken with a language barrier (Asian language), and not getting change back! High way robbery!! I came to this nail spa with two (male) friends to fix two of my SNS nails that broke while on vacation, and to all get pedicures together. When we got there, 1.5 hours before closing, there were four nail techs with customers, and we were asked to wait half an hour. Not a problem, we didn't have an appointment, so it's really not an issue. I made sure to mention my SNS powder nails and that they would need to soak in acetone to be removed. We were ushered to wait on the cushy chairs, and I was handed the available colors for my nails. After a little bit, one of the technicians comes over and confirms that I have gel nails and is surprised when I tell her it's the SNS powder. She yells something at the other technicians that includes "powder" in it, and proceeds to do my first male friend's pedicure. After she finishes, she does the second male friend's pedicure. At no point did anyone move to soak my nails in an attempt to remove them. She finished the second pedicure and went to start my pedicure. At this point, it's 33 minutes before the salon closes, and we won't have time to fix my nails, the sole reason we came to the salon. Both my friends had complained about how rough the pedicures was being, and she even drew blood on three of their toes, so I decided to leave without any nail treatment, as I didn't want her to rush through it and injure me even worse than them. We went straight to Walgreens to buy hydrogen peroxide to hopefully combat the looming infection they now have, and I bought myself acetone to try to fix my broken nail. read more

I have been to several places in the Keys, and all of them were horrible, and I mean AWFUL, except Allure Nails. Every other place I went to, my nails either popped off within a week, they "gooped" it on so thick I couldn't function with my fingers, and one even tried to pay me to leave and come back in the middle of her doing my nails because she had a headache. But not Allure nails, they did an AMAZING job, and were very patient and kind to not only me, but to my 4 year who was with me. Very very nice people! I received a gift card for a pedicure and went to Allure for the first time recently. Scott was recommended to me, but apparently, he is no longer there. What I liked: I had an appointment, and they got me started right on time. The woman who did my pedicure did a wonderful job on the process - great massage, exfoliation, etc. She was very good and took her time. They have the nicest massage chairs I've seen. They put a fresh disposable plastic liner into the tub for each client. Very sanitary. What I didn't like: The TV was BLASTING. Part of the fun of a pedicure for me is the relaxing spa experience that I've had at other salons. I complained about the TV, but no one turned it down. I had a headache by the time I left and couldn't get out of there fast enough. If you're one of those people who leave the TV on all day just for random noise, this probably won't bother you. I wasn't thrilled with the end result of my French pedicure. The white part is way too thick (I asked for it to be thinner twice) and really bright - it looks like my toenails are half-covered with White-Out. Even though the nails are as short as they'll go, the extra white makes them look long. My husband said it looks like I could climb trees with them. :) I'll probably just remove the polish and repaint my nails myself. read more

Went there 5 days ago and while it seemed like they were trying to do a good job during my pedicure I think he was trying to exfoliate my heel but maybe looked away and really got the side of my foot bad. I was in town for a wedding and decided to get a full set of pink and whites. I called and made an appointment at Allure due to the close proximity to the hotel. When I called and stated I was getting P&W's, the gentleman on the phone said my appt would be with Hugh. Once I arrived, I was greeted and asked to wait just a few moments before getting started. Hugh did an amazing job! He told me that P&W's are his 'speciality' and he is not lying. He took his time and his work looks great. I would definitely recommend this nail spa to anyone. I am done waiting for my allotted appointment as has happened in the past. It happened again where 2 weeks ago I waited over an hour and just today the same occurred that I would have had to wait.
