Can I just say I am not a sweets person. I stopped by here because the wife stumbled upon this place and raved all about it. So we stop by and I'm like "meh" just another ice cream shop. She tells me to try it and I sample a few flavors and it was like an explosion of flavors. OK, not that extreme but it was good. I had watermelon and key lime for $1.50. The sorbet is light and doesn't seem heavy like what you would find at coldstone. Our second visit we tried this creme with strawberry and granola thing. It was oh so good. Love Ocean rainbow! It is a hole in the wall mexican ice cream shop that always has a line out the door but is worth the wait... The scoops are smaller than something at Baskin Robbins but you can get a double scoop for $1.50! They have the typical ice cream flavors like rainbow sherbet but also mexican flavors like chile mango or my favorites rice and burnt milk. They also have other mexican treats like chimango- which is 4 scoops of mango/lime ice cream with chile, hot sauce and mangos- trust me its awesome. This place also has many food items and slushies, shakes, etc, but as their food menu is sometimes written in Spanish and contains a lot of authentic Mexican choices, I'm always afraid to order anything off of it but I'm sure it's good. If I could put zero stars I would. My family and I drove almost a half hour to try their icecream and they were closed at 830 even though the door says 9. They were cleaning up and didn't even have the decency to open the door(he was the cleaning the door) and say "we're closed." AWFUL SERVICE!!! read more
