I have been coming here for almost 2 years. And the quality of work is great, I will not dispute that. However, I have been feeling recently that every time I go, there is an attempt to squeeze more money out of me and my last visit today confirmed that. I went in and asked for a full set and on my toes, two of the chipped toenails to be re-polished(the pedicure I had was from their salon). The front desk person asked me three more times "do you want a pedicure" and I specifically said "no" and said what I wanted. When I sat down and someone began to work on my nails, they immediately started taking off all of the polish. I immediately said "that's not what I wanted, I only wanted two toes redone". The rep that I spoke to walked by and laughed. It became clear that despite what I asked for they were going to do what they wanted and charge me. I immediately told the lady once she removed all of the polish off of my feet that I do not want any additional service done to my feet. I was also getting a full set. The full set came out perfect. A lady later sat next to me and she asked for the cost of a full set and she was also getting coffin shape, the exact service I was getting. He quoted her $55. So imagine my surprise when I got up to pay and with my very simple design, my final tab was $75!!! I immediately asked what was the difference in the price. He said your set was longer and she wanted a short set. I asked " so a $20 increase because my nails are slightly longer"? I got a text granting me 10% off of my service because it was my birthday. He looked at it and said " OK five dollars off". I was frustrated by the up charge and just paid and immediately walked out without thinking. It wasn't until I got to my car that I started thinking 10% off should have been more than five dollars. Sure enough I should've received $8.50 off. Now I'm not going to make a big deal about three dollars. However, it's the principle of you send me a discount code and don't fully honor it, and then you frivolously up charge, and then you try to stick on a service that I did not request. I had been coming here for almost 2 years and I loved the work but I've had this type of similar experience with my last 3 to 4 visits. I get the same thing and my nails are never an intricate or complicated design and I realize my price is always different. I feel like they just tell me a price and because I am so trusting, I never question it until my last visit and my visit today confirms what I had been feeling. They have officially lost a regular customer! Even though I live in Valencia, I feel like it might just be best for me to find a better nail shop closer to LA. read more

I normally don't like posting negative reviews, but I feel like people should know about our experience. Back in March 2026, my mom and I went in for pedicures. We always enjoyed coming here because of Kim -- she is truly a sweetheart and always kind to us. During our visit, Philip did my mom's pedicure and then started talking to her about getting her eyebrows permanently tinted. He quoted her $500 and promised that with two visits, the results would be permanent and last 5-10 years. The manager was there during the conversation as well, and both of them were very persistent in convincing my mom to do it. My mom was excited and trusted them, so she agreed. After the first appointment, she was very happy with the results. Philip and the manager specifically told us to call back in two weeks for the touch-up appointment because that second visit was necessary to make the results permanent. Two weeks later, when I called, everyone suddenly acted nervous and suspicious. First, they told me Philip was on vacation and to call back in a week. When I called again, the manager told me Philip no longer worked there because he had been fired for stealing money. I then asked what they were going to do about my mom's eyebrows since the tint was already fading. The manager said she would call me back with a solution. She never called back. I later went in person to ask either for the work to be completed or for a refund, since we paid for a service that was never finished. The manager told me there was nothing they could do. It's really disappointing and sad how easily they took advantage of my mom and took our hard-earned money for an unfinished service. Don't come here for builder gel!!! I came into this place, trying new places in the area , I've been growing my nails for quite some time, and I came in here and asked for builder gel. I was sat with an older lady very kind but I did stop her at some point and kindly ask why my builder gel was so chunky and messy. She would just reassure me. " I will file " I trusted the process and it came out very chunky like I thought towards the end because it was my first time I didn't say anything two days later two of my builder gel nails broke, which I've gotten builder gel for quite some time and never had this issue unless I had it too long obviously! I went back in after three days and they happily fixed it for free. The next day, another two break. . I am very sad because I paid money for this and half my nails are broken now . DO NOT GO HERE. They scam people and lie just to get you to come in . Some of the best people there have been leaving and they have been treating their workers horribly . I love their deluxe pedicures that come with a whole set of products and they'll give you a mimosa and put floating fruit and flowers in the pedicure water and not a lot of places do so I was a fan . However, I've only liked my pedicures there because of the specific people doing them because I have tried others and was not happy with it . But I started out going to this man named Tim due to the good reviews on here and my mom went to him ...then he left the next time I went in . Then I tried someone else named Tina such a sweetheart went to her twice and did facials . SHE LEFT shortly after Tim . We bonded instantly always made sure I was taken care of. Then I had to try another lady Tina in the reviews that I adored . This was my girl for facials and pedicures !!!! THE BEST . And sent my mom to her as well . I called for an appointment with her and they told me she was on a vacation for the month which she wasn't she had left because I had her personal number and contacted her . Then the next person I was going to Kim here about 4 times . I would go every 3 weeks . I called to book an appointment for me and my boyfriend and they tell me the appointments booked with her . Then I show up and they tell me she no longer works there. If I go to somebody specific, why would you have me drive all the way over there and tell me that when my appointment is WITH HER ?!?? And the guy said but someone else can do it . Manager just gives dirty looks and stares from a distance . WALKED OUT. Sent multiple clients there and this is how they do me . Very upsetting and unprofessional because I got my nails done at another place that morning and could have gotten a pedicure but I wanted it with Kim. Terrible experience. My friend sat with her hands soaking for over an hour with almost no communication from staff. We honestly thought they forgot about her. I was told they could do the nail design I requested, then was passed around between employees while the male employee prioritized other customers instead of finishing my service. The worst part was when it was time to pay. The same male employee charged my debit card, said it "didn't go through," and had me use another card. The next day I found out BOTH cards were charged. I returned with clear proof from my bank statement showing the double charge, and he repeatedly tried to deny it because his "system" only showed one payment. He kept trying to blow me off. Only after I threatened to file a police report did they refund my $123 in cash while recording me like I was the problem. Unprofessional, stressful, and dishonest. Extremely Disappointed - Poor Business Practices I had gift cards for this nail salon that were purchased in December--less than a year ago. When I went to use them, I was told they would not be honored due to a change in management. However, at no point was this change clearly communicated--there were no signs in the salon, and nothing was posted online. The new management claimed the transition happened months ago, which means they knowingly continued to sell or accept payment for gift cards that they had no intention of honoring. I usually don't leave reviews unless I'm extremely satisfied or extremely disappointed, and unfortunately this experience falls into the latter. I've been coming to this salon for gel manicures and have never had any issues before. During my most recent visit, a staff member recommended one of their employees (Philip) for lash extensions. Trusting their recommendation, I scheduled an appointment. The results were shocking. The lashes were extremely stiff, with glue clumped all over them. They were so hard that you couldn't even brush through them. It was obvious that the person applying them was either inexperienced or not properly trained. When I told him I wasn't happy with the result, he offered to remove them. However, during the removal process, the solution he used got into my eyes and caused a severe burning sensation. It was so painful that I had to stop the process and ask to speak with the manager. The entire experience was very frustrating, especially since the employee had difficulty communicating in English. Overall, this was a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience. Because of this, I plan to file a formal complaint against the salon. read more

After, she pretended that she did nail filing barely touching my skin even I mention to her that it's include coleus removal. No coleus removal, no massage on feet, no scrub, only cold cream applied in the end of pedicures. My usual nail lady was booked yesterday so I tried ocean nails. I wish I hadn't because now I have pay again to get them fixed by my usual lady today. The gentleman who did my nails was either very new or unfortunately untalented. I got a full set. I showed him I wanted oval nails. I showed him a photo. He brought out a brochure of nail shapes and I showed him oval. Then he did square nails. I corrected them and he "corrected" them.....still square. The acrylic is lumpy and thick, even though I specifically asked him for thin and he confirmed it saying "thinner is better." I picked a pink polish. He brought out white and didn't notice. I picked a different pink because he seemed confused. He brought out silver. For some reason my nail beds are killing me now. There are places where he left them too wide and they are cutting into my skin. I did pay, because it's my fault for not vetting them more carefully, but I won't be going back. read more

Bravo to Ocean Nail Spa for providing excellent service in a friendly, clean salon. I visited on a Tuesday afternoon where my nails went from ugly to healthy and beautiful. Many questions /measures were taken to make sure I was relaxed and comfortable. My nail tech (Ashlee I believe) was extremely thorough while being gentle on my raw ugly chewed fingernails! I am beyond impressed and appreciative . Vince the manager was also on hand to make sure I was 100% satisfied. I will return and you should go... it's a wonderful salon. read more
