It was my first time going here and I was using a gift certificate for foot massage. I enjoyed it very much, but look forward to returning for a full body massage. The only downside was that they don't have anyone designated to answer the phone so when the phone rings,someone has to leave their massage to go and answer it...my gal left twice. Positive is I called same day and was able to get in for massage after work to address some back pain. Negative is that I told her of my complaint / back issue and hoped the massage could help. Negative is the massage when everywhere BUT the knot in my back. She felt it, spent about 2 minutes on it then moved on to other areas. She left the room and was gone a bit, which was strange. Worst message ever. I was tickled the entire time. Goosebumps and muscle tension. I could not relax because I was creeped out. How can a masseuse push hard with one part of her hand while tickling me with lazy trailing fingertips at the same time?! It was weird that i had two sensations going the whole time. When I asked if she was "new" I was told she has been there 6 years. I'm creeped out and feeling violated. I was there to celebrate a friend's birthday otherwise would have left sooner. I requested the massage to be harder but that never happened. She tickled me more. Also, never once was anything done symmetrically. One example would be my hands. Not able to pop fingers on one hand but can the other? Too lazy or what?! What else was there for her to do?! Ugh. I'm still going back to Diamond Massage until something else comes along. This was hands down the worst massage I've ever had. Zero knowledge of muscles or anatomy. It was so bad 15min I'm I asked to be done after 30min. It consisted of the lady rubbing my back with her forearm, and when I tried to ask her to massage instead of rubbing she just lightened pressure as she didn't understand what I was asking. Don't judge a book by the cover! I scheduled an hour and wanted to extend it to a 90 minute! I was in heaven! I was a bundle of tension but felt great afterwards. What happened to this place? Jerry is amazing but without him there the female is horrible! (Asian female.) I purchased the 1hr massage and it felt like choppy light strokes! I can't imagine she is licensed. My children give a better massage. She wasn't hitting any muscles, zero pressure and the foot massage was just weird. Loads feet up with lotion and uses a rolling tool up and down for 30 min. I'm speechless. Note: This review was done last year. I love his massages but every time I go there he cuts me short by at least 10 minutes which is a lot when u r paying for a 60 minute massage. Last time I timed the massage abs it was about 48 minutes../ so I decided to hold back on the tip. When I get into my car I actually got called by someone presumably to ask for a tip. I have no idea why this place has 4.5 stars . I've been here once before a year ago and I wasn't impressed then but I thought I'd give them another shot. It was Probably one of the worst massage experiences I've had. Firstly this place is cluttered with junk. Secondly the therapist knew NO English . I couldn't communicate that I wanted deeper,ow that hurts , etc. She left the room a half hour in because I was telling her that it was too soft ,she was basically just rubbing oil on me, and she moved on from my back after barely working it . That was why I came in because my back was beat up from surfing/life. She didn't understand that was too soft and it was uncomfortable and I was about to jump off from the table ,when she leaves the room and the lady from the front desk walks in to translate . Mind you I'm face down naked on the table . I tell her my needs, she translates to my therapist and walks out . My therapist started to dig deeper, she straddled me and did weird stretches that weren't even Thai massage . (I am a regular at another Thai massage joint). After some time I tell her my back is good she's worked it enough , she continues to work it digging into my back and hips and bones. I'm feeling bruised at this point (and I have a high tolerance for pain). She completes my backside , decides she wants to jump on my back , instead of one foot she walks on my back with both feet and all her weight with no bar on the ceiling , jiggling and going way too fast . I told her I'm ready to flip over so she can work my arms and neck and scalp . At that point I started to semi-relax with just 5 minutes left , even though she was mouth-breathing the entire 60 minutes. I was getting dressed as she walks in with water ?!You're supposed to wait for the person to come outside. They were both out there when I came out , just smiling , I handed her $10 tip which was honestly too much ,I smiled and walked out . I honestly don't think she had any former massage training , being a therapist myself . I came out Not relaxed feeling jipped even with the discounted price. Now I know why they had me pay beforehand. read more
