Parts buyers beware. I brought them a roughly $4,000 OEM parts order and asked whether they could get close to online Honda dealer pricing. The parts manager said he was giving me a discount, but when I audited the quote, the "discounted" net prices matched normal Honda MSRP. For example, 30530-P5M-013 was quoted as List $641.97 / Net $548.03, but $548.03 is the public MSRP. 44600-S84-A00 was quoted as List $370.97 / Net $294.42, but $294.42 is also the public MSRP. The "discount" appeared to be from an inflated dealer matrix price, not from MSRP. I understand the overhead of a brick-and-mortar department and am generally willing to pay a reasonable premium for local availability, expertise, and quality control. However, I handed them a fully researched bill of materials, and the "service" I received in return included a quote for a discontinued part (instead of the available equivalent) and being sold an already-open tube of sealant. I did all the heavy lifting on parts matching and still had to audit the counter for accuracy and compromised gasket maker, so the "premium service" argument completely falls apart here. I would have preferred to buy locally, but the pricing presentation felt misleading and the execution was sloppy. I placed the entire order online instead.

I just bought my fourth car in three years from Ocean Honda. I can't tell you how excited I am to have my new car in my driveway. Peter. The general manager will go above and beyond to make sure that you get the best deal and my personal sales associate Flor Gonzal is just the best. So if you're interested in a new or used Honda stop by Ocean Honda in Santa Cruz County

They are rude and unprofessional and tell lies just to make you go to the store for nothing, I bought my car with them 3 months ago and it has been hell to be able to communicate with them or to buy more cars the only thing they say are lies

Great experience! I drove down to Ocean Honda from the east bay to check out a truck on their lot, since it was a longer drive I called to assure the truck was still available. Jakob let me know it was and he would have it ready for me when I arrived to test drive and look at. He made the process so casual and easy, I was out and on the road with my new truck in under two hours. Seeing as I drove almost two hours, they offered to uber me back to them after driving my truck home to pick up my car that I had driven there. It made the stress of figuring that out completely vanish. Kevin made the payment process very smooth and I appreciate being able to avoid the DMV, as they handle all the registration and title change themselves. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to purchase a car.

I wanna make a buyer‑beware alert about Subaru Solterra (same platform as the Toyota bZ4X)…read more In a little over a year and under 13,000 miles, my Solterra has repeatedly failed to start because of a dead 12‑volt battery, even when the main traction battery was mostly full. Each time the 12 V drops, the car lights up with "system stopped," brake and ABS errors, parking brake unavailable, and other random faults, and then simply refuses to go into drive. I've now been stranded at least 7 times in a year. I've followed Subaru's instructions after jump‑starting: leave the car on for an hour to let it recharge the 12 V. Despite that, the problem keeps coming back. I don't leave high‑draw accessories plugged in, and this started very early in the car's life. At around 10,000 miles I reported the problem to Subaru during scheduled service, so there is a documented history. I've since learned that this is not an isolated fluke: Law firms and owners are pursuing class‑action cases alleging that Subaru Solterra and Toyota bZ4X models have a defective 12‑volt system that lets the small auxiliary battery drain and die prematurely, leaving drivers stranded even with plenty of charge in the main pack. The lawsuits claim Subaru and Toyota knew about these issues but failed to warn buyers or provide a lasting fix, and that some owners have gone through multiple dead 12 V batteries in just a few thousand miles. forums and groups are full of similar stories: brand‑new Solterras and bZ4Xs with repeated 12‑volt failures, dealers blaming accessories or user behavior, and people being told to just keep jump‑starting and driving I bought this car specifically to have a reliable, winter‑capable vehicle in the Tahoe area, and instead I'm carrying a jump pack and now a solar battery tender just to feel semi‑confident it will wake up. Meanwhile, my 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse with almost 90,000 miles has been more dependable than this brand‑new EV. If you're considering a Subaru Solterra or Toyota bZ4X, Stop. please research the 12‑volt battery issue and the ongoing lawsuits before you sign anything. If you already own one and are having similar problems, I'm actively looking for other owners, forums, and legal efforts to join so we can push Subaru and Toyota to take this seriously and provide a real fix or buyback. If you want details on what I've seen, what codes and errors show up, or how to document incidents for lemon‑law purposes in California, feel free to message me.

Two weeks later the price was adjusted over $1000 less to $6999 + gov't fees = $8,068 so I drove up the hill and test drove it for 38 minuets. I drove it on the freeway twice, pushed the speed, manually shifted it, hard breaked it and stopped to check out some of the electronics and found the drivers left mirror was faulty. The glass was not fixed to the movement motor and about to fall off. Not a big deal but technically a "safety issue". We arrived at the dealership and did a check on all the lights and had no problems o I decided to get a bank check to buy it based on me thinking all I would have to do is spend $200 on replacing the mirror and assembly and a check up. Now I know all used car sales are As-Is and final but he reason why I am writing this is because I want to share my Post Story. After driving it down the hill and 3 days later a warning light came on "Stop the vehicle immediately and check fluids". The radiator resivor was empty, I purchased gallon, another gallon and another until I took it in for an assessment. I needed a water pump which was my worst case thought for this vehicle and common for this model at 123,000 miles. I would have spent the $1600 fixing it but I was also told " the timing chain was stretched". This is a $5-8,000 fix for both! Dispite Charlie telling me "you can have somebody look at the car here" and him asking me to "sign off on the mirror that we won't fix it" what I was told days later was that the "check engine light should have came on much earlier" I was also told something else that has led me to believe that this dealership knew this vehicle needed major work. Another odd statement front Charlie was that "your plates and registration should come in the mail in about two months". I know dealers have 10 days to have sale documents into the state but based on personal experience this rings very...odd. MY LESSION: I would have better lost $200 having an independent inspector look at it and drove back rather then loose $8,000. When you go to THIS DEALER take a mechanic or hire an inspector. The Best Dealer placard that they have on the wall is not what I experienced because after this unit being on there lot for months I am of the opion they should have auctioned it off rather then knowingly selling a vehicle for 8k that is worth 3k base on the work needed. I took my one-time large VA disability check and threw it away! As long as this place has been in business I may be the minority opion but this is just BAD BUSINESS.

I wish I could give Argus Co. and its owner, Michael Gay, zero stars. My experience buying a 2005 BMW Z4 was nothing short of a nightmare. I had previously purchased a car from him and trusted his word, which made this betrayal even more upsetting. The night I bought the car, the windows were fogged, and he dismissed my concerns. The next morning, I discovered the real issue--missing window seals in the convertible top. He promised to fix it, and the repair was a joke - from De Laveaga Service Center- mismatched pieces that left an unsealed, unprofessional mess. Then came the real problems. The day after my purchase, the check engine light went on. Michael shrugged it off. A few days later, my car was completely dead and needed a jump. A tire pressure light was also on from the start. Again, he dismissed my concerns. Eventually, a mechanic confirmed the car had a broken front wheel and two cracked rear tires--an unsafe disaster. I was sold a sports car with three dangerous wheels. When I pushed for repairs, he sent me to Big O Tires, where the situation got even worse. They put the faulty wheel back on. Shortly after, I found myself trapped inside the car, unable to open the door from the inside--a terrifying safety hazard. If I had been in an accident, I could have been stuck inside a burning vehicle. Then, while driving, the car suddenly lost power--engine failure. It barely made it to a parking lot before completely shutting down. The next morning, it wouldn't even turn over. I contacted Michael Gay immediately--from day two--detailing the dangerous and unethical state of the car he sold me. Instead of taking responsibility, he dismissed my concerns, ignored my emails, said my text messages were too much (most people would have a threat response dropping into your autonomic nervous system, feeling threatened by investing over $10,000 on a lemon and being told everything's OK don't worry when in fact now I have a dead car sitting in my driveway ) and ultimately he threatened me with a restraining order for demanding he fix the vehicle. This dealership sold me a lemon under the pretense of it being a reliable car. If you value your safety, your money, and your sanity, stay far away from Argus Co. Michael Gay does not stand by his sales, dismisses legitimate safety issues, and when confronted, responds with threats instead of accountability. Do not trust this business. Save yourself thousands of dollars and a world of frustration.

About 20 minutes later the new batteries in my car was running again like a champ! I have taken four different cars over the past 10 years to Soquel Auto Repair and have had the mechanics there, in particular Fardad, work on my vehicles. I've had my brakes replaced, transmission flushed, radiator flushed and multiple other things completed. Every other year I will take my vehicles there for smog as well. Fardad is very honest and upfront. He does not play games as some other mechanics will do. If something does not need to be replaced he will not make up something or some kind of story to make you believe you have to have extra work completed. I have gone to other mechanics that will tell me my brakes need to be replaced even though they were replaced a month ago.
