We wanted a quick bite to eat we stopped here. We got a regular cheese pizza. It wasn't OK pizza not the best. We still think New York pizza is one of the best pizzas. We have being that we New Yorkers but we wanted to try it. It could've been more cheesy I believe and more tasty. read more

I ordered the crab cake sandwich (minus the bun) ~ it was phenomenal! Fresh crab with some herbs and seasoning perched on a mound of fresh lettuce and ripe tomato slices with a lemon wedge and tartar sauce on the side. So good! Hubby throughly enjoyed his cheesesteak. This place is IT! When I think of good beach food this is it! I got the cold Italian and crab cake sandwich! They were not playing around! It doesn't look nice and the reviews are very spotty, but everything we've tried here has been delicious! It's the only place during our short 4 day stay that we went to twice. Came here for dessert and made a walk here late at night. They have multiple options as far as food or dessert. But we settled on ice cream. I was in between ice cream and a shake - but I went with ice cream scooped. The moose tracks flavor was nearly out, and I asked if there was more which the lady went to the back and refilled the big container no problem. I added what I thought was Reese's cups but instead it was ground Reese's Pieces - total misstep on my part. Should have let Moose Tracks handle itself. Added whipped cream and a spoon. Would come back for a shake late night or a late night meal. read more

When we visit OCMD we make it a point to visit Ocean Bites for a lunch Italian "Cold Cut" sub (they call it cold cut but it's an Italian). The bread is always fresh and extremely light, with a nice crust. Meats are freshly cut and an ample amount on each sandwich. Hands down THE best sub shop around. They also have pizza and an Ice Cream (Turkey Hill) counter. Do yourself a favor and give 'em a try. read more

Decent spot to stop into if you're looking for a quick bite to eat just a few blocks from the beach, or steps away from the amusement park. Not a wide selection, but all the classic beach-eats (e.g. burgers, pizza, fries, soft serve) are covered on the menu. BUT.... If you're looking to social distance, and follow proper COVID-19 distancing guidelines, I'm going to give this place a hard pass. There might be 6-foot recommended distancing stickers on the floor, but they're nearly impossible to see with all of the people crammed inside the small shop waiting for their orders. Not a fan of having people just inches from your face, eating totally maskless or incorrectly wearing bandanas, while you wait for your soft serve? If not, I suggest you look elsewhere for that ice cream cone with sprinkles. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite for lunch. Looked clean, and prices were decent. Burgers tasted a bit strange and were crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside. Chicken sub was very overcooked and not that great. Fries were good. Only ate a third of our burgers and still had terrible diarrhea and stomach aches. Tasted like the grill wasn't cleaned for a long while and meat not the best. Bun and fixings were okay, just not the meat. read more

I come here ALL the time. Their cheesesteaks are AMAZING. I get it with extra cheese, hot peppers, and grilled onions. I highly recommend this place! Just know that they close the grill at 4am usually, and while it says 24-hours, they usually are only 24-hours during the busy season. read more

Tried to place an order while on the beach and they wouldn't accept the order because I didn't have a card number to give them. I tried to stay on the phone so I could grab a card but they wanted no parts of it. I understand the need for a card to secure the order but they wouldn't even let air for one, couldn't speak to a manager either. Horrible customer service. read more

I like this place. A lot. I'm here for the weekend in OC and I have been here twice already. The guys who run the joint probably think I'm stalking them or something, but this place has become my go-to-spot now. It's not the best food I've ever had, but I like the guys who run it, the prices, the location, and the large menu. They care about your food - what you order and how you want it, etc. I like this 24 hr spot, I like the fact that they were open when everybody else was closed and we were starving and we wanted some food that was good, quick, but not 'fast' - they were our oasis in the desert. OB was great and I will definitely go back. read more

Just tried this spot and it's a descent eatery. We ordered Buffalo chicken sub, chicken cheese steak and cheeseburger with fries among other things. It was ok overall. They are open late which makes it a convenience if you don't want to go walking the boardwalk for food spots. It's a little pricey for the kind of food prepared and perhaps it's due to Covid, they only had one cook and the man manning the register would go help when customers were few. Overall it's a nice spot with indoor and outdoor seating. They also serve turkey hill ice creams which you can choose from. When Dairy Queen is closed, this is a great option. Overall good experience. read more

Had such a horrendous experience this past weekend visiting here. After late night mini golf at Jolly Roger, we decided to stop here for food since we were starving and it was open 24 hours, since it was nearly 11 we decided to go here for the quickest service. Inside three girls worked behind the counter but there was no organization and they all kind of stood around staring blankly. I ordered a large chicken cheese steak with peppers and onions. The girl taking my order asked grilled onions and hot peppers? I said no, grilled onions and regular peppers, the second girl behind the counter told the first "just the normal peppers" girl one nodded in agreement. While waiting my fiancé noticed the water he grabbed was warm, I checked the fridge and they were all warm. Both bathrooms had "out of order signs" on them and were locked, unfortunately I believe this was due to the fact it was senior week there and while waiting I witnessed two groups of drunk teenagers barging in trying to use them. I understand wanting to keep this demographic out of the facilities but it was not fair to actual customers. Before my food came out a group of older women came in asking about a pizza they had been waiting a half hour for. I see a chicken cheesesteak come out the window and the third girl calls out a number. I walked up, say I think this is mine but I wasn't given a number. She told me no it's not my order, I look and see no peppers so I think ok I guess it's not but let her know again I didn't get a number. The second girl corrects the third and says yes this is mine. I tell them I asked for peppers and the she tells me no I didn't because I said no hot peppers. I told her I wanted the grilled onions and peppers and she says ok, takes it and puts it back behind the window. A minute later it comes out but still with no peppers and instead a thick coating of table pepper. The sand which was also not very good and it was not worth the aggravation that came with it because the girls behind the counter were not very apologetic but rather insistent I didn't know what I was doing. This is a hidden gem! We stopped by after going to the jolly Rodger park and best lunch stop of the week! It was extremely clean (and the employees took extra precautions after patrons used tables by cleaning every time) Food was very hot and very fresh! It was also fairly priced! read more

Solid all around and very convenient. This is basically a 24 HR dive grill and it's pretty great for that. Good food and good service. Came back a day later and the server remembered my order. They also have ice cream here. We had multiple menu items and it was all well done. Surprisingly one of the better and more consistent spots we went to out there. read more

I've been there 3 times and it was not the best experience. The cashiers were rude and were no hep. They are extremely unprofessional. The food takes forever, and sometimes your order will get messed up or not the correct temperature. Their salads are alright. read more

Arrived in OC @ 11:45 pm and literally hungry & tired. No where to eat cause everything near by was either closed or filled with drunks. They were the only place open I could find. Ordered 3 chicken gyros, 1 tuna sandwich & a crab cake sandwich. Nothing special to report, carb cake was a bit too salty, gyro was blan but who's complaining, at least I got something to eat @ 12:45am, waitress did bring our food out to us . Place needs to be updated if you're going to open 24/7. Just my recommendation, with that said I'm sure business will bloom much more read more

While the pizza and salad were still very good, they weren't as outstanding as they have been in the past. Customer service is not the same as it once was. When we ordered the chai tea, this evening, no orange and lemon slices were offered. As we were dining outside, I walked in to ask if they had orange and lemon slices for the iced-tea available. The cashier first seemed as though he didn't see me, and then when i caught his attention and asked about the slices of orange and lemon for the tea, he looked at me as if he didn't not know what I was talking about. I looked at the girl behind the counter that walked over with the salad dressing that had not been delivered with our salads and asked her about the fruit. She looked confused as well and said they didn't have any. The iced-tea on its own is very good, but the slices of orange and lemon really make it great! Back to the food...when our pizza was brought to the table, the gentleman that delivered it, (I think he may have been attending the wood-fire oven) threw our paper plates on the table. Next came the Greek salads. We were short two sets of silverware which was noticed by the second server. She said she would return with silverware, but didn't. So, I went back inside and asked for the two sets of silverware we needed. I was asked if I wanted plastic. I responded that I would prefer metal silverware. The girl disappeared and returned several minutes later with the silverware. I realize it is the busy season, but the restaurant was not busy. We've been during the busy season and in the off season and have always had wonderful experiences. I am truly hoping that this was a one-time thing, and that Ripieno's will return to the same familiar place we used to love to go.
