For example, you know how usually when you order sweet potatoes fries all you taste is the oil in which it was fried, not here, you actually taste the sweet potato! I highly recommend the strawberry salad and the grilled turkey and Brie sandwich. Do not miss the cranberry aoli! I almost didn't get it,but our waitress suggested at least getting it on the side. She was right! It was great on sandwiche and fries. She was excellent and accomodated dietary needs with ease. My only suggestion would be to create a little more ambience inside to match the excellence of the food.

Our server was great- he checked up on us a lot throughout our time there and offered help when we had questions about the menu. I got the hibachi chicken, which comes with a soup and salad. They also gave us yum yum sauce- a must have for me! Everything tasted good and came out quickly. The meal was a bit pricey, but not too bad considering the soup and salad that comes with it. They do have a great lunch special until 2pm on Tuesday-Saturday with some good deals, so I will definitely be back to try those out! The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and I love all of the artwork they have throughout. Overall a great experience!

If you've driven by and wondered about it, don't let the building fool you--it occupies the former Golden Corral, so the restaurant is huge. There's plenty of seating, making it a great option whether you're dining with a couple of people or a large group. The standout for me is the seafood boil. The combo options are absolutely on point, with generous portions, perfectly cooked seafood, and seasoning that brings everything together without overpowering the natural flavors. It's one of the better seafood boils I've had in eastern North Carolina. The sushi is equally impressive. Everything tasted fresh, was beautifully prepared, and offered a nice variety of traditional rolls and specialty creations. It's not often you find a place that does both seafood boils and sushi this well. The service was friendly and attentive, and despite the size of the restaurant, the food came out promptly. Whether you're in the mood for hibachi, sushi, or a seafood feast, Sake Hibachi Sushi & Bar delivers. It's a great addition to the New Bern dining scene, and I'll definitely be back.

The food was average. It says that they cut the beef at your tableside. If that is true, we did not see it that night. The buffet was well stocked and had some of the beat sides of all the Buffet's here in Goldsboro. I saw a sign saying they offer military discount, but didn't think to ask before paying. Only one style of bbq available, a very vinegar based soggy blend, which takes the rating down one star, and the awkward - "pay before you enter" - experience, especially when you didn't bring cash to tip and the server doesn't know if you tipped $10 or $1... nor do you get to reflect the service with your tip if you aren't prepared with cash. That process reduces it to three stars. The great sides and great fried chicken, along with pork hop and fish options, as well as stellar desert and sufficient salad bar all make this a very viable lunch option, I will definitely be back and will update my ratings based on my second look.
