Conveniently located in front of my apartment building, on the corner of Santa Rosa and Marin, this new Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant has caught the neighborhood's attention.
It has a large menu of many different rolls as well as hot traditional Peruvian dishes such as chicharron de pescado (breaded fish), lomo salteado (steak sautéed with onions, tomato and fresh fries) and chaufa (fried rice).
Despite it being relatively early on a Friday evening (around 5pm) the place was packed with delivery men coming in and out as well as people picking up their to-go orders.
I went the safe route and ordered my favorite, chicharron de pescado, however, as soon as the waitress walked away I took a better look at the menu and I saw a ton of other delicious options on the menu (just means I have to come back ;] )
They have a great Peruvian daily lunch special for 3,500 -- great bang for your buck!
In general, the hot dishes are fairly inexpensive and their sushi is within the normal price range (they also have 2x1 specials on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
Overall, nice staff and quick service. I definitely recommend for either take out or delivery. read more
