The honey bun cupcakes had more of a cinnamon flavor going for it, but one thing I enjoyed was the frosting. I was glad to not have frosting that was ridiculously sweet. The cake was dense.....not dry, but denser than what you'd get from spots nearby, including the chain places. I think it paired well with the frosting, but don't expect the cake part to be light and fluffy. I keep going back to the frosting....was very silky tasting. The same with the vanilla cupcakes...cake itself was dense but did have vanilla flavor and you can tell she uses real vanilla. Frosting was exceptional as well. I haven't tried the chocolate one yet, but my wife says it was the best one of the group so far. Regarding the cookies, I'll say that brown butter ones are ok, but not my preference as I prefer a bit of a more buttery flavor? Idk if I'm making sense here, but I prefer something different as far as a more not as sweet cookie and sweet choc chips. There's have great texture and the choc chips are great too. The flavor is too sweet for me though. Again, not my preferred type of choc chip, but it doesn't take away from how it was baked and the texture. I think the only knock would be the honey bun flavor tasting like a cinnamon roll? It was still decent though and got ate regardless. This is definitely in my top list of cinnamon buns. The dough is so good and soft, the icing is to die for, and you know you'll get cinnamon in every bite just by looking at it! This is where I'll be going from now on when I don't want to make a batch at home! I also got the cookie butter cheesecake - how have I lived my life this long without trying this? Cheesecake, caramel and cookie butter in every bite! The cheesecake is super fluffy and I can't wait to try more of their flavors. I got my husband an ooey gooey chocolate chip cookie and we were both delighted with the flavor - it's the perfect balance of browned butter and bittersweet chocolate! He can't wait to give their oatmeal raisin cookies a try. For five in the evening, this place was hopping by the time I left. There was initially one person ahead of me and one behind the counter and as folks came in, two more came out the back to help! Everyone was super friendly and helpful! The shop itself is cute! They always have a fun assortment of flavors of cupcakes but it's rather hit or miss what quality you will get. They have fun combinations and flavors and are always beautiful, but sometimes they are quite dense, sometimes super moist, and sometimes dry and will nearly choke you. My default cupcake is always the yellow cake with chocolate icing. I feel like it's hard to mess up. However, I tried a cookie this most recent time and didn't love it. It mostly felt like eating raw dough texture if that's your thing. I wanted so bad to like the cupcakes but they were overpriced for the size and dry on day one. The location is very parking friendly and it's easy to navigate. The location was a bit busy when I went, but the staff was completely unphased by it. They got us in and out without sacrificing great customer service. This location is spacious and would be great to drop in and work because they have a coffee bar inside. I got a slice of caramel cake and a double chocolate walnut cookie, which didn't even make it out of the parking lot. It was so good in fact, I contemplated going back in to get another one.
