As someone who works in a rehab program I am pretty particular as I work with therapists all day long. Kevin was my primary PT and he is very skilled/knowledgeable. He really helped me understand my limitations and work through some big barriers. I also worked with Miguel and Karen and they are great as well. I appreciate that each therapist has different yet effective approaches to treatment. Another plus is that your primary PT works with you the entire session. In some programs the PT works with you for about 10 minutes then passes you off to an assistant or puts you on a piece of equipment for 20-30 minutes but patients get a lot of 1:1 here. Kristen, Delaney and Arlene were always helpful in the scheduling/billing areas. They are all very friendly and willing to help however they can. The facility is clean and well-maintained with a variety of equipment for patients to use. I would highly recommend this place for anyone recovering from an orthopedic surgery/injury. I retired a little over a year ago after working as a Law Enforcement Officer for 28 years and…read morecompleting a 6 year enlistment as a combat MOS Marine before that (translation: broken body parts). During that time I had seven orthopedic surgeries to patch things up along the way, all requiring lengthy physical therapies to get back to the job. All of that means little, but it most certainly did give me a familiarity with the whole physical therapy process. I got very accustomed to the grind of attending physical therapy, which became a love/hate relationship, with the emphasis on the hate! All four of the previous practices I visited were pretty much all the same in that the first few visits included attentive interactions with the physical therapists, before being released to work mostly with the young physical therapy assistants. After a while it always felt like I was on autopilot from there on out, though I didn't know any better and just accepted it as being the norm. Enter the Move Well Physical Therapy practice in Cypress California! I was fortunate enough to find this practice and "especially" fortunate to have Kevin Galacgac be assigned as my therapist! Not only is Kevin super personable, his knowledge on therapy blew me away when compared to my previous therapists. His ability to understand my hamstring and forearm injuries were immediate, and his prescribed courses of exercises were deliberately designed to layer my strength rehabilitation by gradually starting with my tendons and working up to my muscles. Even better, I was never once released to a 20 something year old assistant, who often times very obviously did not know what they were doing. Nope, every single session was 100% Kevin the entire time and he was on me the whole way not only ensuring that I was performing the exercises correctly, but ensuring as well that I knew why I was doing them and how they were going to help heal my injuries. No BS, no pomp, no fluff, no coddling, just professionally focused physical therapy! As a Mr. Nobody, I felt compelled to write this review and praise Kevin for helping me get back on my feet, which is definitely harder to do these days at 55 years old. Thank you Kevin, I appreciate your help so much and I know exactly where to go the next time I do something stupid!

I called to ask if they can do labs and testing she said YES. She said on the phone they could do a blood draw and test for potassium overload. When I got there she said I needed to be evaluated and the dr. Would decide if I needed to be tested. I ask how long would results take and she said 3 to 5 days it goes to a third party lab. So NO YOU DON'T DO LABS!! If you lie to me once you don't get a second chance. I will be looking somewhere else for my urgent care needs. Training is key. UPDATE: The response isn't what I was told. It wasn't a miscommunication problem. Your girl, I came in contact with needs training. She is the first person the public comes in contact with. I don't remember her name but I remember her attitude. I ask specifically if you did labs and testing her answer was NO we send it to a third party. So Instead of leaving an advertisement for your business in the response you should use your time to train your staff. I don't need to discuss this further you know what you need to do.

Accurate rating description for two starts is "could've been better." This place only has PA/NP…read moreand no MD on site. They have the capability to draw blood and send to lab for stat orders. Unfortunately, what they lack ends up a longer list. The first MA was unable to get a vial of blood and said someone else would try on my other arm with a straight needed (vs butterfly). She left me without even putting a bandaid on the arm she poked and I had to struggle to put the bandaid on one handed while still maintaining pressure on it. Next MA comes and draws blood and when she's done she yelps I don't have a cotton ball (to put on the vein she just drew out of) and my blood is just pooling while she puts a bandaid on. Luckily I'm well versed enough to know I needed to put pressure on my bandaid. The NP who saw me was new to (per the MA) she really didn't put my mind at ease. Her expertise and knowledge seemed lacking based on the answers to my questions. First thing she asked me was, why are you here and not the ER? I told her my PCP sent me here because she didn't feel it necessitated a ER visit. She wanted me to be evaluated by YOU to assess and in your medical opinion, do I need to be seen further or what course of action next? She swabbed me for flu and covid and I verbally questioned her because I had isolated severe GI symptoms. She said sometimes those present wither GI only. Does it? I don't know, I'm not an MD but I'm also someone who works in healthcare and it didn't feel like the proper procedure. When I asked if she would be ordering any stool samples, I heard through my closed door "do we do that?". Ok, she's new, I'll give her that...but she comes back in and says "if you'd like to have the order for stool testing I'm happy to give that to you." Am I the md or am I the patient? I came here for your professional medical opinion! Do I?! So after I kindly communicated that I am looking to her for her opinion as the expert whether or not my symptoms necessitate an order, she still doesn't quite give me a direct answer! I haven't been to that many urgent cares, but I've come to see a trend that many of the urgent cares that are owned by a company with multiple locations don't have MD's on staff physically there. That said, I've also noticed the trend that many provide sub-par care.

Never did they ask me for anything financial other than my copay which was expected. Once I saw the doctor, boy was he thorough. He explained what was going on, what to expect and what I was doing that could make things worse. They gave me a steroid pill right there in the office - no need to go to the pharmacy! And they observed me after I took the pills to make sure I didn't have a reaction. It was actually a good thing that Exer didn't work out!

It made me wonder would she treat a non-minority the same way she treated me. I understand they have their own limitations, but to be treated so nonchalantly with lack of compassion is the upsetting part. Are bedside manners nonexistent now? I understand people have their off days, but this was completely unacceptable. Maybe consider another field if helping people doesn't bring you any sense of fulfillment. I will be reaching out to speak with a manager if possible.
