    Challah bread
    Ben K.

I went shopping today to OC Kosher market to get a Challah bread before Shabbat, went to check out and made a purchase I was asking for the receipt (which usually don't really take one) I got home and something told me to look at the receipt and I found out that they are charging almost $9 for a Challah bread of exactly same brand that I used to buy in Ralph's for $4.25 !! This place is a clear rip off I will not go back to this store and would like to share my shopping experience with you guys! Not recommend to do shopping in this RIP OFF place!!

BEWARE: This is what their "chicken schwarma sandwich with everything" looks like - nothing like what their pictures suggest. $15 with tax

BEWARE: Pictures of the food are apparently not real and the management at this place is terrible. I ordered 2 chicken schwarma sandwiches ($30) with everything and received no veggies, only the protein and the pita bread. Management replied to me over the phone that everyone makes mistakes. He suggested that the next time I come, I should make sure that I emphasize I want everything in the sandwich because saying yes to the question "would you like the sandwich with everything?" Isn't clear enough. He did not offer anything in return, not even the missing veggies that I paid for. TLDR: if you like veggies in your chicken schwarma sandwich, repeat 3 times that you want everything in your sandwich and check your sandwich before you leave the shop because this business doesn't care.

Pieces of chicken Size of a finger!!! Shame on you OC KOSHER!!!!

I really didn't want to do this bad review but after today visit I have no choice!!!! They are the only kosher market in OC so they take a HUGE advantage of that and not for the good reasons!!! Prices are extremely high on meat and chicken for no reason. But the reason why I'm putting this review it's today I went and bought a pack of chicken schnitzel paid about $12 and when I get home my wife open it to start cooking. Guess what... they put 2 big pieces at the top of the package so you think it's actually full of nice big pieces and what we actually got is 2 pieces that are not very big and all the rest of the pieces are so small size of a finger!!!! It's disgusting that this is what they do!!! To me it's definitely a RIPOFF and that's not the first time that this happened but I just don't like to give bad reviews but this is too much!!! Look at the pictures. Do your self a favor and don't buy from this place better to do the drive to LA to the Israeli market over there!

We were in the neighborhood so I popped into this place to have a look. You know that going by the name everything is kosher. They have a meat section and they do state in large letters that they have South African Boerewors (kind of sausage like thing) and Biltong (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biltong) -- I'm not a fan of the stuff. Not a big store, but they do have all your needs to get through preparing for your Passover meals.

    Buyer Beware!

Ask the Community - OC Kosher Market

Do they have bone in lamb legs or goat legs?

I think they have bone-in lamb but I haven't tracked down a good source for kosher goat anywhere in SoCal... if you are looking for halal/non-kosher goat legs I'd check out wholesome choice or one of the Halal markets on Brookhurst.

There's an infinite variety of Japanese snacks and the cashiers were so nice and kind. Even the security guard was helpful. I also just wanted to mention that the beef prices here were some of the best I had ever seen! Steaks for 7 to 8 bucks??? My group of friends and I were purchasing snacks and waiting respectfully in line at Register 14. Our group consisted of one African American individual and three Southeast Asian individuals. When it was our turn to check out, the cashier told us the store was closed and refused to ring up our items. She directed us to customer service instead. When we went to customer service, we were informed that the store was actually still open until 10:00 PM. What made the situation even more upsetting was that after refusing to serve us, the cashier immediately rang up the customer behind us. If the store was truly closed, why were other customers still being checked out? The entire interaction felt targeted, disrespectful, and humiliating. While I cannot know the cashier's intentions, being denied service while another customer was served moments later left my friends and me feeling singled out and unwelcome. Rather than argue, I left all of my items behind and walked out. I have shopped at 99 Ranch for years and never expected to experience something like this. I hope management reviews the surveillance footage and register activity from Register 14 around 9:00 PM on June 6, 2026, and addresses why customers were falsely told the store was closed while others continued to receive service. Until then, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I noticed other customers approaching staff directly for assistance, so I eventually did the same. The employee behind the counter selected four beautiful salmon steaks for me. However, while packaging them, the bag split open and all four steaks fell onto the floor. The employee quickly picked them up and took them back behind the counter. It appeared that he attempted to rinse them off and package them to sell to me anyway. When he brought them back, I asked, "Didn't those salmon steaks just hit the floor? Could you please get me four new ones?" His response, said quietly under his breath, was, "Oh, you saw that." He then selected four replacement steaks, weighed them, and labeled them for purchase. I was very disappointed that anyone would attempt to sell food that had fallen on the floor. That experience left a very negative impression and made me question the seafood department's food handling practices. The rest of my shopping experience was fine, and the highlight of my visit was one of the restaurants inside the store--a boba and milk tea shop. The service there was excellent, and I had one of the best yogurt and pumpkin milk teas I've ever tasted. That positive experience is the reason I'm giving three stars instead of one. I'll likely avoid purchasing seafood here in the future, but I would definitely return to visit the shops and restaurants inside the store.
