BEST DANCE STUDIO IN THE COUNTY!! My experience has been with adult ballroom classes. I can assure you the level of expertise in this studio can take you as far as you are willing to challenge yourself. The attention is very personal and much of the time, the use of the facility is exclusive. (This is very rare in orange county where most studios have five or more couples all dancing different dances with different instructors at the same time!!) I have been coming to this studio for over a year now. In addition to taking the Weight Loss dance class on Saturdays, I also work out elsewhere during the week. I must say that NOTHING compares to this Saturday class!! I love the workout, it is fun and intense!! Val focuses on form and building strength. The class is very well balanced and goes at a great pace. It consists of stretching, cardio and strength training. A great leg, butt and abs workout!! I found this studio last year when I was looking to take an adult hip hop class. This studio got good reviews so I tried Kristin's class on Tuesday nights. I love her! She is super talented, makes class fun, is very welcoming and personable. The music and choreography is different every time, which keeps me coming back. The crowd has a good vibe, not too intimidating for beginners but challenging enough for more experienced dancers. Can't say enough good things about her and her vibe. Brianna at the front is also super nice and welcoming. Thanks to OC Dance Studio for giving this mom of 3 a much needed break from the kiddos to do something I love!!! read more

This studio Is amazing. My husband and I started dancing here to create/learn a surprise Cha Cha dance for our wedding. We had so much fun we ended up doing group salsa classes. We learned to dance both styles. The group classes are a great option because they are smaller groups so you still get a lot of attention from the instructors without the cost of the private lessons. Val planned a great night at Steven's Steakhouse for the group to practice our salsa skills. I learned salsa and also had a lot of fun. There was a little kids coloring area that my daughter was able to use and watch us if she had to attend which was convenient as well. read more

Over 2 years ago, I came to OC Dance Studio in hopes that I would find a method of excercising that would work for me and that I would stick too. Dancing seemed like a good idea. Not only did I find that, I found a network of friends that support and encourage one another!! OC Dance Studio offers many different types of dance instruction, both for children and adults, as well as exercise/aerobic classes and personal fitness training. You can do group classes with others, or do private classes/lessons if you prefer. If you like dance, you can do it as often as you want, with the flexibility that you need for your schedule. You can even do competitions at your level, if that is what you enjoy!!! I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to call up and arrange your first visit if dancing is your preferred activity or method of exercise. Val is the best teacher you can get! i sought her out from yelp and it was 6 weeks before my wedding day that I decided to have a surprise dance for my husband to be. we met up once a week and she taught us the dance step by step, so that my wedding party can follow. There was 7 of us and in that short amount of time, we all can dance!!! it was perfect and my husband couldnt stop smiling, and to be honest, i couldnt either :D Thank you Val for all the hard work and help you can gave to us! I started taking dance lessons late last year with Rosta. I was apprehensive because I'd had no experience with ballroom dance, and I'm old. Not just slightly "over the hill" but old. Anyway I'm really enjoying my lessons and have recently joined the ladies formation dance class too. Learning a new skill is challenging and sometimes I get frustrated with my inabilities, but Rosta is always patient and encouraging. I live 30 minutes from the studio and bought a deal through social living in January and now I am hooked. It has been worth the drive going there 3-4 times a week for the latin cardio, formation and a new addtion the burlesque. I signed up to take dance lessons to try to get over the fear of stage fright and to learn something new and here I am now doing my first formation this September with a group of great ladies. This will be a surprise to my family and friends in September because this is out of my element and I have never taken any form of dance lessons every in my life. Val is great she kicks my behind but I need every bit of it to keep me going. Her husband, Katie, Kyle and Gonzo are great also, it feels like family there. These classes are very encouraging, relieves stress and helps you boost your confidence. So for all the ladies and men looking for a challenge, stress reliever, excitement new friends this is the place to go to. One thing I also have to add is no matter what size, shape, lack of confidence or have 2 left feet when it comes to dancing it doesn't matter there. You will learn and feel comfortable. read more

This review is for their Wednesday night Bachata/Salsa classes with Mike/Edi. Wow! I'm so fortunate to have found this unpretentious studio. I wanted to learn Latin Dance (specifically Bachata) and I think the Instructors are amazing. You'll notice that everyone there taking class come from all shapes, ages, backgrounds, ethnicities/identities, and abilities. Everyone is welcome! On Wednesday nights, Mike/Edi start with a warm-up (basic step) with the Bachata music, then they teach the choreography in steps, while you rotate in 2 circles with a different partner. You DON'T have to bring someone with you to attend these classes! Overall, I really enjoy coming to this studio and looking forward to grow in this genre of dance. Check them out! read more

I would highly recommend anyone that is wanting to learn (or for the more advanced like me), to brush up on West Coast Swing to ask for Instructor Rostivlov (Czechoslovakian first name) . I had been dancing West Coast Swing for a many years and for personal reasons had to stop for almost one year. I wanted a brush up to feel confident getting back on the dance floor. Rositvlov was very helpful and unlike other instructors he listened to what I had to say and taught me what I wanted to learn. Tostivlov is definitely not a "one course fits all instructor". He will customize his class to fit your needs; very impressive. Val the manager was very helpful in guiding me to the right instructor. As an experienced dancer I highly recommend this studio. oc dance studio has great instructors that are professional and make you feel comfortable even if dancing isn't your forte. look to book a lesson with val or gonzo, either will be great and a lot of fun. we got the wedding dance package which included 6 private lessons and we got a pretty crazy routine out of it with great tips and a boost in confidence in our dancing abilities. check them out, we are actually considering taking lessons here for fun afterwards, it's a great work out! read more

OC Dance Studio is soo unprofessional, rude, out of line, passes judgment etc The owner or whomever she is is far from friendly ( her breath smells) and she tired to tell me about MY DAUGHTERS attention span ( my daughter is one of the best student in her class) and her dancing skills! Pretty much this woman told me they didn't want our business nor our daughter in any of the dance classes!!! Let me tell I something if you are paying hard earned money to have your child perform / dance etc bc it makes her happy you take the fucken money and teach these amazing young children the skills to become a great dancer! Mind you this was her first dance class EVER they refused to take the time to teach her, and that's wtf we are paying for! I would not recommend anybody to bring their child here! Oh and did I mention she told me she hopes we weren't thinking of having her in a recital bc her skill level is poor! My daughter is 3!!!!!! read more

This studio is awesome! I first came to this studio when I signed my son up for hip hop class. I ended up finding out about the awesome Latin cardio classes and was hooked! Val is welcoming, motivational, and always kicks my butt (in a good way!) They also offer ballroom and burlesque classes, which give me a great workout but don't feel like the same old boring exercise class. I NEVER leave ratings, but I just had to. This studio specializes in competitive dancing, but my husband and I have taken private lessons for over 6 months for fun. We started with a living social coupon, but continue to drive from Long Beach Area because we love them so much. Rosta is great at observing and figuring out just what subtle thing is off (or sometimes not so subtle) that is throwing off our dance. More importantly, he has such a relaxed teaching style that he can point out our mistakes without ever making us feel badly.
