There were three staff members in total (thin build, Latino male), medium build Filipino female with glasses, and a thin build Asian female). The male was working on an in person order when I walked in, seven to ten minutes later the same woman was standing around waiting for parts of her order - no other in person customer was being assisted. A young woman, who had placed an online order for two coffee drinks asked repeatedly if anyone was going to make her drink order. It took two staff members - Asian female, Latino male) - to help figure it out, each debating who was going to make it. The Filipino female kept coming from the back to bring sandwich items to seated waiting customers. The male continued to look at online orders before helping the family of three in front of me. When their order was finalized, the male walked away from the register and proceeded to look at the online orders. He said nothing to the line, did not acknowledge our presence. He went to the back to make a sandwich - again two staff members working on one thing (Filipino female, Latino male) while in person customers stood and waited. The Filipino female asked what him what was in the bag while standing at the front of the store. The other Asian female was still working on the coffee drinks from the online order from when I first walked in. After about ten minutes of being walked by and disregarded, while waiting to be acknowledged, I asked is anyone going to take our orders at the counter? The male replied, "Yes, but we have a lot of online orders and we'll get to you shortly." So online orders take precedent over those waiting in store to purchase? If this is the case, then why are there only three staff members who are clearly not organized nor serve in the capacity of enough staff to assist customers online and in person? If I had not asked about being helped, no telling how long staff would had continued to ignore us. The Filipino female walked over, asked how my day was and asked what she could get me. After each donut selection shared, anything else?... She was being passive aggressive in her tone and with her words. As I was waiting to select my receipt options, she saiid, "All of that for two donuts" to the male. Who both went into the back while the rest of the building line waited. When I finished my receipt selection and entering my phone number, the father and son behind me were still waiting without any assistance or staff acknowledgement.. If I had not promised my daughter a donut prior to order road trip, I would have left long before. Worse service as it was nonexistent to those in person. There were three staff, two were doing staff and the third at the front was nonexistent. Do better Dynamite, your customer service was absent yesterday, staff not at all prepared or organized and your store is not staffed to assist both online and in person without neglecting in person. Communication was nonexistent as well, leaving customers standing in line without a single word or thought of returning any time soon. Online orders, you'll be waiting too. There were three people who walked in, going directly the register with a phone in their hands. They were waiting two for the pickup while the young lady wanted her coffees made. The ambiance here...people were upset across the board. I would rather drive to Pinole and get service, Dynamite donuts are not worth that wait or nonexistent level of service.

This family owned and operated bakery has been serving the community for over 60 years, carrying on baking traditions that date back more than a century. Their famous buttermilk coffee cake recipe has been passed down through generations and is still made the old-fashioned way today. From what I've learned, they're the last bakery in the Bay Area still making this incredible family recipe. The baked goods are amazing, but what makes this place truly special is the family behind it. Everyone is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cares about their customers. You can feel the history, passion, and pride the moment you walk through the door. In a world of chain coffee shops and cookie cutter bakeries, this place is something rare. The history alone is worth a visit, but meeting the wonderful family who keeps this tradition alive is the cherry on top. A local treasure that deserves all the love and support it can get! Ps- I got the iced coconut chai, a FAMOUS buttermilk coffee cake and the hot chick panini. I also got a dozen assorted pastries/donuts for my staff to try. Incredible is an understatement. You're welcome in advance!!!

Mary is the epitome of a person who ruins the Service Dog community image as a whole and is the spot on definition of the Service Dog Handler stereotype. No matter how much Mary may want to be blind about her actions and stay in denile forever, Mary is just that; the true definition of whatever you choose to define Mary's actions as. Anyway, I've lived in Pinole for many years now. Unfortunately with my schedule, it is very difficult for me to make it to Bear Claw Bakery And Cafe. The small handful of times I've visited I have always felt welcomed and enjoyed delicious coffee and pastries, and sometimes a cookie or two. I thank Bear Claw Bakery And Cafe for being a wonderful establishment. I just hope there is adequate room for my Service Horse to sit down next to me on the floor the next time I go. Don't worry Mike and Terry, I'll have my paperwork avaliable for you to review. If things become mob like or hostile feeling no worries either, I'll be wearing my big boy pants that day.

A great pick me up spot for something refreshing, a caffeine fix, or something sweet!…read more My favorite here is the Chocolate Thunder! Be warned that the regular size comes with 2 shots of espresso and the large size comes with 4 shots of espresso. I recently started adding the strawberry foam to it and it elevated it so much. The strawberry foam is rich in taste and not too sweet so it balances out the chocolate and coffee perfectly. If I'm looking for something refreshing I go for the Sweet Basil or Pearfection. Both with an in-house made purée that add a great taste to the tea lemonades. They also offer add ons at an extra charge: chamoy, tajin, mango star jellies. They also have a variety of quesadillas that are made with a handmade flour tortilla and all pressed in a panini press which gives it a nice crunch. My favorite is the turkey one which comes with a jalapeño cheddar cream cheese that gives it a little kick. The pastries vary from day to day but if you see cinnamon rolls I suggest you get one! They're so fluffy and not too overly sweet like the typical ones. Staff is welcoming and friendly. They always answer questions and suggest different drinks/pastries depending on what you like. Located inside the community center with some seating available. There is a parking lot so parking is easy.

We added two shots of espresso for an extra kick. The thick mascarpone topping in the Tiramisu was next-level creamy and paired perfectly with the espresso. Next time we're definitely getting the Mexican Mazapán drink, now that we know it's gluten-free so my wife can enjoy it too. The pastries are just as worthy of the spotlight and worth a return trip on their own. The girls working there were super sweet and welcoming, which made the whole visit even better. A perfect little treat stop. I'll definitely be back!
