I didn't want to wait until the next showing which was much later, so he just said go to another theater inside the building. He was very apologetic. What the theater needs to do is have a list of which movies are playing in what theater so there is no mix up like this again.

The theater is nice and small, quaint even, and there really isn't a bad seat in the house. The performance was great, as it has been each time we've been here. If you're looking for a little culture, and something different than "dinner and a movie", then give Theater Tallahassee a go. You won't be disappointed.

All students are granted free entry. Although, I'm no longer a student, I still find myself visiting the SLC when they screen classic films. For non-students, tickets are a mere $3. If you're lucky, you'll pop in on $1 popcorn night! (Tuesday I believe, but don't quote me on that). Housing over 300 seats, you'll be bound to have a good view from all areas of the theater. They screen classics, limited releases and blockbusters. If you've never been to the SLC, it's a venue worth checking out!

My favorite part is that you can come to watch a movie, and while you wait you can play some games on Steam or some League because they have very decent alienware gaming rigs you can use. You can also borrow a board game or a console system. They have Xbox Ones, PS4, PS3, Ps2., PS, Atari, Game Cube, N64, Wii..etc. They have a healthy variety of games and impromptu Smash competitions are not unheard of :p There is a stage where sometimes there is karaoke, game nights, and gaming competition. There is also frequent advance screenings of movies that won't come out in months, and those come with freebies and/or cool presentations by people involved in the films. This theater plays movies that are popular and movies that are not widely available. I've seen some of my favorite independent films here! Any student can suggest the movies, and different organizations can suggest theirs, sop there is an interesting variety. They usually play two movies, about 3 times per day. and 1 movie during the Summer. :d I think its a nice part of the Seminole experience as there is not that much to do in campus.

Anyway, aside from parking, which was garage parking and had to be paid for, it was a pretty standard movie theater. You know, get tickets, purchase popcorn, the usual stuff. I will say though that they don't play every single movie currently out, but I think it's because this location is small. Nevertheless, it has its charm -- the screen is great and the employees are nice.

Waze/Google Maps both showed the same path to get there but most of the nearby streets were blocked off with no alternative routes so getting to the parking garage was a nightmare. Luckily we were way early and still made it with 30 minutes to spare. Other than that one issue, a great visit. We will be coming in more often now that we are aware they are there.

The IMAX staff was wonderful; very accommodating. It has been quite a number of years since I last visited the IMAX Theater to catch a show. I didn't remember how cramped the seating was :o), though the seats themselves are comfortable. Once seated, best to stay seated until the show is over; otherwise, it will be quite a task to get out, especially if one is seated in the middle of the row and the row is completely filled. All in all though, aside from the tiny inconvenience regarding the lack of space between seat rows, I think everyone pretty much enjoyed the show and the setting. Note, the documentary is on Youtube as well! I also want to give a "shout out" to Mission BBQ for providing a complimentary meal for those attending the documentary. The food was delicious; the meal consisted of: coleslaw, baked beans with brisket, mac and cheese, sausage, pulled pork, brisket, cornbread, buns - along with tea (sweet and non-sweet), lemonade, and water! I've never been to a sold-out event here and, frankly, I often forget this is an option. That said, it's the best screen in the county - and if you're really looking for the larger-than-life experience, this screen yields a beautiful IMAX experience. It's no Warren Theaters IMAX - but then again - there's only one of those (in Wichita, not in NYC!).

Anna, the owner, hosted the event with a super encouraging touch. She introduced us to the word of alcohol ink pouring, which is something I've never tried before. This form of art being foreign to me made me a little nervous to mess up my blank canvas, but Anna assured us that not only can you clean your tile and restart if you don't like what you did, but there are no rules when it comes to art. She walked around and helped when needed, speaking kind words about each persons talents. She is extraordinarily hands on, present, and kind. She's just the sort of art teacher we all should want! As for the alcohol pouring itself: so, so fun. As I said, it's super forgiving and there are no rules. I ended up making three myself, and honestly, I probably could have made more with more time because of how addicting it is to watch the colors spread and blend and morph. She had endless supplies in the forms of paints, pens, stamps, and even gold flakes to take your art to the next level. The store itself is super cool. It should be no surprise that there is art everywhere, but the skill that each piece possesses is astounding! My personal favorites are the black and white airbrush works in the front of the shop behind the counter: absolutely beautiful! The shop has plenty of cool knick knacks: beads, books, dog collars, shirts, etc. You can find the coolest things! Once you continue through the shop, you'll find a fun outside area. The best part of this area is the large bubble wands. I don't care how old you are, everyone loves bubbles. There is no greater joy than making a giant bubble and watching it fly away. 10/10 would recommend you visit the bubble making station when you go! I made sure to grab a card before leaving because they offer a lot of different classes that I want to try! The class I found most intriguing is the "Art to burn & Vision boards" class. In this class you get to burn what you wish to leave behind and forget, and then make a vision board of your intentions, goals, or positive affirmations; pretty much whatever you need to provide that therapeutic release. She also hosts birthday parties, tie-die parties, and so much more. I'm very interested in going back and trying another class!

So I was nervous at first to sign up for an adult art class at Feeling Art, hoping I didn't make a fool of myself. But I shouldn't have been worried at all! Anna is so kind and welcoming, happy to help with any questions and walk you through the processes for each project. We did the "Fun with Cement" class recently, adding a little alcohol ink pouring at the end, and absolutely loved it! It was such a unique experience with a unique art form, pouring cement and decorating our creations with SO MUCH GLITTER! And with the small group atmosphere, you get one-on-one time to learn about the art form and how to do it properly while still having the opportunity to add your own creative touch. I also got to try the alcohol ink pour and make a drink coaster. It's most similar to a paint pour process, but, if you don't like it or make a mistake, you can simply wipe the "canvas" clean and start over! Overall, I would highly recommend signing up for a class at Feeling Art or doing a private party (they're flexible and all you have to do is ask). So get out there and be creative!

Kristin is a new owner here and she was a dream to work with. We made our own custom candles which was $25 and then the birthday girl treated us to $5 custom coasters while we waited for the wax to harden. Kristin put on music and was super patient and accommodating the entire time despite having a couple and a regular also there at the same time. It's super cute inside and there are retail items available for purchase. You can come in customize your own item or they will do it for you. The space can accommodate up to 24 people for people for a private event. Check them out!
