Anna, the owner, hosted the event with a super encouraging touch. She introduced us to the word of alcohol ink pouring, which is something I've never tried before. This form of art being foreign to me made me a little nervous to mess up my blank canvas, but Anna assured us that not only can you clean your tile and restart if you don't like what you did, but there are no rules when it comes to art. She walked around and helped when needed, speaking kind words about each persons talents. She is extraordinarily hands on, present, and kind. She's just the sort of art teacher we all should want! As for the alcohol pouring itself: so, so fun. As I said, it's super forgiving and there are no rules. I ended up making three myself, and honestly, I probably could have made more with more time because of how addicting it is to watch the colors spread and blend and morph. She had endless supplies in the forms of paints, pens, stamps, and even gold flakes to take your art to the next level. The store itself is super cool. It should be no surprise that there is art everywhere, but the skill that each piece possesses is astounding! My personal favorites are the black and white airbrush works in the front of the shop behind the counter: absolutely beautiful! The shop has plenty of cool knick knacks: beads, books, dog collars, shirts, etc. You can find the coolest things! Once you continue through the shop, you'll find a fun outside area. The best part of this area is the large bubble wands. I don't care how old you are, everyone loves bubbles. There is no greater joy than making a giant bubble and watching it fly away. 10/10 would recommend you visit the bubble making station when you go! I made sure to grab a card before leaving because they offer a lot of different classes that I want to try! The class I found most intriguing is the "Art to burn & Vision boards" class. In this class you get to burn what you wish to leave behind and forget, and then make a vision board of your intentions, goals, or positive affirmations; pretty much whatever you need to provide that therapeutic release. She also hosts birthday parties, tie-die parties, and so much more. I'm very interested in going back and trying another class!

A fun, welcoming space to get creative!…read more It has been a long time since I have done an art project. I'm talking over a decade. So I was nervous at first to sign up for an adult art class at Feeling Art, hoping I didn't make a fool of myself. But I shouldn't have been worried at all! Anna is so kind and welcoming, happy to help with any questions and walk you through the processes for each project. We did the "Fun with Cement" class recently, adding a little alcohol ink pouring at the end, and absolutely loved it! It was such a unique experience with a unique art form, pouring cement and decorating our creations with SO MUCH GLITTER! And with the small group atmosphere, you get one-on-one time to learn about the art form and how to do it properly while still having the opportunity to add your own creative touch. I also got to try the alcohol ink pour and make a drink coaster. It's most similar to a paint pour process, but, if you don't like it or make a mistake, you can simply wipe the "canvas" clean and start over! Overall, I would highly recommend signing up for a class at Feeling Art or doing a private party (they're flexible and all you have to do is ask). So get out there and be creative!

It has many facets and components but the gist is that its a center for goods to be donated, re-used, up-cycled and turned into art or whatever else you want it to be. If you are a teacher looking for supplies for ur students she's got EVERYTHING (not an exaggeration). I believe teachers get discounts but I'm not entirely sure and even if they don't everything is super cheap. If you are a person who likes to be inspired, check out the space she's got EVERYTHING, books, art supplies, jewelry, jewelry making supplies, stamps, paper, yarn, gadgets and gizmo's aplenty. I have not an artistic fiber in my being but just hanging out there makes me feel like I'm an artist. There are also classes and events, like fill a bag day (for $5 or $6), wine and art classes in the evening on Wednesdays and the one I frequent is the toddler art class on Tuesday (10:00 am-11:30 am). Carly reads a story to the kids- who ADORE her and she them- and then creates a super toddler friendly art project around that story. An example is the time she read an Eric Carlyle book and then led an art project using tissue paper. She gives each child so much loving individual attention and is so easy going. My daughter loves her and loves going to the sharing tree. She does an incredible job of fostering a strong sense of creative, conscious, community in Ole T-Town.

I saw some people playing catch there and also playing with a volleyball. On the first Friday of every month, the park hosts the very popular "First Friday Gallery Hop," an event that provides a lively, enjoyable experience with open galleries/shops, live music, and food. I really enjoyed this place. This is a must visit while you are in Tallahassee. You can easily spend a half day or more here. It is easily accesible and I highly recommend checking this place out if you have the chance.

Looking for a pretentious pottery place with prejudicial and presumptuous proprietors? (That's alliteration my friends) Then you found it! Hopefully you enjoy a library type environment - minus the books, fun, or opportunity to learn anything. Here you can light money on fire, make a mess, then clean it all up! If you are lucky, the instructor may even speak to you. If you are luckier, your instructor might even ensure your equipment isn't broken or ill-suited to you after multiple classes. That is, if they are not to busy paying attention to their advanced cult members, including people disrupting their beginning classes by showing off their prized, strange, and unsightly cat sculptures (or other things) they accomplished at your expense. Be sure not to smile or speak. This is strictly forbidden. If you break these unspoken rules, you will probably be asked not to return, without warning of course. In doing so, they may make defaming or slanderous statements about you. I guess they are so used to getting their hands dirty... The good news is, there is a strong chance you will get a refund from some condescending person via text or E-mail a few days later. Thereafter, they will probably feel guilty and act like they want to have an indirect and meaningful conversation solely to clear their own conscious or avoid negative feedback. Once that fails, they will probably just use your negative, honest feedback, as support for their self confirmation bias. Just sit at home and watch the The Family Stone. Its a great movie and a way better experience. No hard feelings. Ooh, the wheel in the sky keeps on turning I don't know where I'll be tomorrow Wheel in the sky keeps on turning
