While visiting Boston we were looking for a place for breakfast, I opened up my Yelp app and came across this little diner. The atmosphere was charming. The staff was very attentive. The food was served hot and cooked as ordered I would visit again. Sorry no pictures of the food, we were hungry

Starting this review with the most important note - cash only. Yes, there is an ATM inside but it's got a fee. Just bring cash. When you walk in, it's been a seat yourself kind of atmosphere. The first area you see is a little bar type of area with stools to sit at. The rest of this quaint little place is spacious enough between tables. Two restrooms available. Of the three time I've gone there has only been one waitress taking care of everyone... but she's great and attentive just the same. The food is pretty decent for the price, it's not anything that is particularly out of this world, but you won't have any complaints and you'll be well fed. I requested the bacon extra crispy and was thankful it wasn't floppy. The pancake was nice and airy, the scrambled eggs were fine. Not a big fan of the home fries but that's just personal preference based on the potato type they use. I will definitely return.

Friendly service always! Menu is extensive breakfast and lunch and coffee is bottomless. We love OBs in Quincy.

definitely no frills dinner. food was good and affordable. there seemed to be only one server but she was perfect nice and attentive.

Make sure you bring cash when you make your way to this little diner! They have an atm inside if you need it. This cute diner is my go to for breakfast/brunch in Quincy. They close pretty early too so make sure you check their opening hours. My favorites include the eggs blackstone benedict and it comes with bacon and tomato which I prefer over the traditional Canadian bacon that it usually comes with. The saltiness from the crispy bacon and tanginess from the tomato work magically together. The delicious hollandaise sauce on top just brings it all together. I also really enjoy their spuds & scram and Irish breakfast are both really good as well. Their strawberry French toast is great too. I'm usually not a big fan of sweet things early in the morning but this one is an exception!

We decided to give this place a try because Wheelhouse Diner and Newcomb both closed early. Our go-to dish to order at breakfast places would be an Irish benedict (benedict with corned beef hash). It wasn't on the menu but I asked the waitress if it was possible, she just nodded yes and wrote down the two orders. She did not tell us that there was going to be an extra charge to get corned beef hash - didn't find out until the end where she wrote $10 extra charge. Honestly, if we had known, we wouldn't have ordered it with our benedicts because it came out a little soggy, we honestly would have just ordered a side of corned beef hash in hopes of it being more crispy. The taste of everything was normal, it wasn't amazing so we'd probably stick to the other two diners since it can save us that extra charge no soggy corned beef hash. As for service, the "host" literally didn't even say anything to us when we walked in even though he was standing right by the door folding up napkins and forks. A hello to seem welcoming wouldn't hurt or just to simply say out loud that we can sit anywhere we like. He then proceeds to hand us the menus very unprofessionally and was not very greeting. Honestly, I had mistaken him as someone who can take our order because he didn't say anything like "your server will be right over".

Cute little breakfast spot. Staff were extremely nice. Our waitress was so sweet and wished me a Happy Birthday too. Our orders came quickly. We got the Breakfast Specials #1, 3, and 8 and by all accounts, were very tasty. Eggs were cooked as how we liked them. Pancakes were fluffy and warm. Toast was buttery. Sausages were also delicious with a slight crisp to it. Bacon was a little off but that's okay. Good atmosphere when we came in at around 8am. Not my first time here but definitely won't be my last! Overall, a lovely experience. Definitely recommend. Also, it's free on your birthday!

Great service with some good food for a decent price. One thing to take note of is that this place is good for a party between 2-4 people. Anything more than that, you will have some difficulty sitting together. The food was delicious. The staff was very attentive to every small need. It also helps to sit on the bar counters for faster service. Definitely would recommend for a early morning or brunch!

Cute little breakfast diner where you seat yourself. It is cash only but they have an ATM! Large menu with different varieties to choose from. I got the Hash & Cheese omelette and it was alright, the eggs were kinda overcooked and dry. The service could do a little better. Never came to check up on the table and when raised hand to ask for some water, the waitress handed me the check even tho we were only halfway done with our food. Parking is street parking but there is a parking lot across the street. Overall, just a basic breakfast place. Nothing wow and pretty average.

Ask the Community - OB's Cafe

Are they handicapped accessible for someone with a rollator?

Yes they are. Entrance has a very minimal threshold. The walkway is wide enough for wheel chairs. Tables are far enough apart to accommodate them. Hope this helps.

Do they have Birthday specials: as in do you get a free meal on your birthday?

Just need a valid ID and your birthday meal is on the house.

They were out of eggs, so I got a pork bun which was fluffy and delicious as well. They had a medium sized-menu with a good selection of your run of the mill American cafe staples as well as options that are harder to find in this area -- Saipao buns, ube lattes, lumpia... I was getting pissed off on the highway on my way to the school in Boston so I pulled off and was looking for a cafe somewhere in Milton or Quincy to work in until the traffic died off a little and found this on Apple Maps. So glad I stopped in! The cafe is bright and home-y, and they also are clearly trying to be a place to build community in the area. They have a whole library and check out system it seems for people to borrow books, and based on the signs welcome in anyone that needs to use the restroom or respite from whatever weather is going on! I used one of their tables and worked on some schoolwork, but they also had a variety of soft seating available. They had a really good playlist that had a great beat but was still kinda chill. It wasn't super busy, probably since it was midday on a Thursday, but damn it should be busier in there! Great spot... will most likely be stopping here the next time I find myself screaming at other cars and needing to calm my road rage. Another note: I saw a sign and it looks like they have a way for people to hold events here. If you had a community group that needed a spot to have meet ups I think this would be a great spot

Milkweed manages to stand out in a crowded scene by focusing on what matters most: incredibly fresh and flavorful food. The menu spans breakfast, brunch, and lunch with a level of seasoning that hits the mark every time. These are my favorites so far: -The Sweet Dutch Baby: A crowd-pleaser that manages to be both airy and indulgent. - Corned Beef Hash: Super fresh and flavorful. You get an entire roasted roma tomato. - Cheesy Spinach Omelette: Simple, fresh, and very cheesy. - The iced coffees and teas are well-crafted as well. - For those looking for a lighter start, they offer great "healthier" alternatives like smoothies and loaded fruit and yogurt bowls, making it an easy choice for groups with different dietary preferences. The Experience The atmosphere is very homey. Staff are friendly. Place is clean and doesn't have that diner stickiness. The service can be a bit of a rollercoaster. There are moments when it feels like you've faded into the background or been forgotten entirely. But the food is worth the wait. If you're looking for a quick "in-and-out" meal, this might not be the place. But if you value high-quality, delicious brunch offerings and don't mind a slower pace, Milkweed is a local gem that delivers where it counts.
