I was referred to Dr. Jyl Voss during my first pregnancy. After having an absolute horror story of an experience with another doctors office, I was very skeptical and frankly scared given that I was already 20wks into my first pregnancy and had been told by my previous doctor that i was high risk and could lose my baby at any time. My husband went with me to my first appointment (and was with me for every appointment through my pregnancy). We were both blown away and felt a massive weight lifted after meeting with Dr. Voss. She was so professional, took her time, was thorough, respectful and kind to both of us. Given the condition we were in when we found her from our experience with our previous doctor she had to start over and get all new labs, ultrasounds, and exams. Every nurse that we met and the ultrasound tech were wonderful! Coming up to my due date Dr. Voss was not only concerned with my physical state and baby but for my emotional state as well. My delivery was not as smooth and easy as we all would have liked, however, I had no idea at the time. We arrived to Sky Ridge (I highly recommend and have loved all of my experiences with this hospital but I won't go into that right now:) and I really must say that you can learn a lot about a doctor by what the nurses have to say about them. For example, when we mentioned our prior doctors name people just got quiet, shook their heads, said things like, "oh, I'm so glad that you are with Dr. Voss now." However, Dr. Voss was loved and respected by all of the nurses that we met and people freely spoke very highly of her. My husband stayed by my side through the entire delivery so was exhausted. Dr. Voss was so considerate of him while also providing excellent care of me and kept him informed explaining everything to him as she went and was attentive to him. I was so impressed by the way she managed the delivery team, my care, my husband, and my son! I rested easy knowing that my family was in great hands. Postpartum was a rodeo. I was one of the lucky women to have difficulty physically healing and found myself in the throws of serious postpartum depression following. It came on hard and fast and rocked me to my core. Dr. Voss caught it early and was so involved with me and my husband in making sure that I received the medical attention and support that I needed through my year and a half long battle. My family is thankful for Dr. Voss and I don't know how I could ever trust or love another doctor the way that our family loves Dr. Voss. read more

I really loved this office in the beginning. They made my teenager very comfortable with OBGYN questions. Now it's been a couple of years. My child has been seen for the same issue in Oct Dec and now May. They did the exact same thing, PA exam with no tests, no pap, no ultrasound. At first I appreciated the not jumping off the deep end approach but after 3 visits they are simply brushing her off saying it's a sensitive nerve issue. They know that with nothing but an exam? I feel like my insurance money is being wasted. She's scared and in pain and this office has given me the feeling that they simply don't care. With my obgyn history they should be much more concerned for her then they are. I'm moving my child to an office that will pay attention to what she's saying. I'm in pain should garner some kind of response. Totally furious, frustrated and saddened. read more

I switched to this office at 28 weeks or so after I had a terrible experience at another office! Doctor Sheldon welcomed me and my husband and made us feel comfortable with the office right away. She answered questions through the portal or called me when ever I needed it! Towards the end I was MISERABLE and she squeezed me in to get induced after 39 weeks and making sure the baby was healthy and safe. Dr. Etten ended up delivering my baby, but Sheldon told me this would be the case ahead of time and I was comfortably with that! Etten was wondering, the baby was healthy and so was I! All the nurses in L&D were wondering as well! But as far as the OBGYN center I have nothing but good things to say! From the women at the front desks, to the nurses, to all the doctors i met they were wonderful! Thank you women and I will be back someday for my second;) read more

I had my second son here. Experience was great at first. I began to dislike my OB so I switched to another within the practice. She was amazing. Gave me a hug the first time seeing me. We connected. Then my water broke... I called the office to let my new doctor know. Well she had the stomach flu that day. No biggie. They gave me the on call doctor. This doctor made me feel TERRIBLE in a time I needed the most support! When in labor. It was time to push and she came in with a fury. They started me on pitocin earlier and when 12 AM hit on April 16 I was in the WORST pain I had ever felt. I was screaming. I did not feel this with my first son. This doctor had the audacity to tell me to shut up and be quiet. I was shocked. I was so hurt. I wasn't doing that because I felt like being dramatic. I was in killer pain. I started pushing and my son had flipped. His head was positioned back and up and they needed to do an emergency csection. I was terrified and she never calmed my nerves. Ever. Not personal at all. After having my baby he was bruised from the top of his head down to the bottom. Black and blue. Even his tongue. Black and blue. They waited to long to get him out. He was in so much pain. And I was pissed off. I let everyone have it in that hospital. When I went back for my checkup she made me wait in the room hours because "she likes to talk to all patients for awhile after exam" uhhhh ok??? I have things to do. Every appointment we were there on time and we still waited a good hour after appointment time to see her walk in. My husband was so mad he said something and she was nothing but disrespectful. I had seen Dr. lamb before he passed, and he was amazing. Put my husband at ease about our first incoming child. Was devastated with his passing. Dr. Macnamara who has now moved to Boulder delivered my daughter via csection and was outstanding. I nearly died from childbirth and he kept me alive and prevented a hysterectomy. His new replacement who he recommended, Dr. Sheldon is so very compassionate. She will talk you through everything she is about to do, she is open to what you want to talk about, and generally loves babies. Also they deliver at "sparidge". Wonderful practice. read more

Came here when I was expecting my first everything was ok... not personal because of the 8 different doctors they want you to rotate through. Really loved Dr. Richason but Dr. Grover was arrogant and made me feel terrible like I didn't know anything. Thankfully I delivered with Dr. Richason on call and she was great and comforting. Wont be coming back unless Dr. Grover is gone. I don't want to risk having to deal with his ego and everything else that comes with delivery. read more

I went to see Dr. Etten for a question that was outside of my normal yearly check-up routine, for something that any experienced doctor would have been able to diagnose in person. Instead of a simple diagnosis, Dr. Etten sent samples out for no less than 7 tests to be run, amounting to over $1200 in costs. Teresa Etten is a corporate sell-out whose diagnoses are ruled by pharma companies. She takes no personal stake in the lives of her patients and, frankly, has no bedside manners to explain her ridiculous diagnoses anyway. DO NOT go to this "doctor". After visiting this office, you will be unable to reach someone who can explain the bills to you. You will become an account number and nothing more at this office that disguises itself as caring about the lives of young women. read more

I have been a patient of OBGYN Center for more than 20 years. Over those 20 years, I've come in for my annual appts, I've patiently completed my pages of paperwork, filling out the same information already stored in the office's computer, no changes. Then I've gone back to a room, disrobed and waited in a paper robe for up to 40+ minutes, sitting naked on a bed doing nothing but wondering how much longer I am going to have to wait. And then, I've completed my uncomfortable 15 minute exam, gotten dressed, and gone home. Today, I arrived to do it all over again, but I was late. I've never been late, ever. My appointment was at 3:45 and I arrived at 3:50. My usual 45 minute drive to the sky ridge office took over an hour due to the snow storm. I felt horrible. Stressed the entire time, ran through the parking lot and through the halls. I checked in, got my clipboard, filled out most of my paperwork and was called back up to the front desk to be told I could not be seen because I'd been late. So, no exceptions, no thought, I was told that the Dr. was unable to see me, a 20 year patient, and I'd have to reschedule. I asked the staff to ask the to reconsider, given my drive in, given my history. I was told to reschedule. After all the time I've spent waiting in that office??? Unbelievable, disrespectful, unprofessional! I will not reschedule, I will find another doctor OBGYN Center and Cheryl Mark, one that is grateful for my business as a patient! I suggest others do the same and go where a patient's time and dignity is valued. read more

I had a scary misdiagnosis from Dr sample. She appears to be new to this practice. Not sure how she completely missed a giant ovarian cyst that ruptured a month later causing me to have surgery, but she did. I guess my first clue this office is a disaster is when they're behind schedule already at 8:15. They tell you to come 30 minutes early, and then they're 30 minutes late. They also don't do blood draws in their office, like every other OBGYN I've been to does. Pick somewhere else, anywhere else to go. read more

Dr. Sheldon is the best physician I have ever seen. I travel all the way from Colorado Springs to see her and this is now my second birth with her. She is very professional, and makes sure you know your in her best interest, listens to your concerns, makes you feel important, remembers previous topics or concerns, and had excellent bedside manors. During our first birth we went 22 hours in labor and ended up in a cesarean due to medical complications, but letting me be in full control of my option knowing how important it was to me to give birth naturally. She also stayed passed her shift to be the doctor to preform the cesarean procedure to make sure I was comfortable after all we went through. She is such a passionate and genuine Dr. I feel so lucky to have found her and will always recommend Dr. Sheldon. read more

Dr Richason was my primary doctor & she was AMAZING.I really love how she takes her time to explain everything & she makes you feel so comfortable.I never left an appointment unsure or confused about what was going on whether my body & baby.Unfortunately she wasn't able to deliver my son (she had just worked days straight & just came off of an on call shift) & she was honest and told me that she wanted me to have a doctor who was fresh minded.Dr Lobell delivered my son & she did such a great job keeping me calm and positive.I really liked her!Dr Richason made a point to come see me the next day to check on me before she left to go out of town!She didn't have to stop in but she did and you can tell she genuinely cares about each one of her patients.I will definitely go back to her when I get pregnant with my second child.Thank you Dr Richason & Dr Lobell! read more

My wife went here with our first son. Dr. Richason ended up inducing my wife and delivering our boy after my wife experienced preeclampsia. It was really scary. Dr. Richason was very kind and informative, made both of us feel better. My wife said she also loved Dr. Lobell and Dr. Etten. read more
