I arrived at the shop at 10am on a Saturday, picked my own vases from their collection, then spoke with a gentleman about the look I was going for and how much I wanted to spend in total. I was fairly particular so we walked through the coolers and chose some flowers together. I came back at 1pm and all the arrangements were ready to go - and OH SO beautiful! I am shocked at what just transpired at this flower shop. I ordered condolence flowers through their website to be delivered to Lizton, IN on 10/7. They were to be delivered on 10/8. They were never delivered and when I called to find out what happened, they said they "dont deliver to Lizton" and "were trying to find a florist there to outsource to". If I hadn't called, I would never haven known the flowers never made it there. Beware if you order online from them, they do not inform you if your zipcode is out of their delivery area. This was highly disappointing given the timing of the funeral, etc...I will not be returning. read more

To be perfectly honest, it was difficult to schedule a meeting at first, but once we did we knew we had made the right choice: Brandalyn and the team were incredible. They really, really knew what they were doing. They answered all our questions and asked great questions of their own. I attempted to order flowers from Oberer's this morning and the lady I spoke with was extremely short, snippy and impatient that within 2 mins of me dialing, I politely told her "I think I'm all set. I'll order my flowers elsewhere." I called back and spoke with someone else just to inform them that the way I was spoken to was rude and that they may want to reconsider having her interact with customers. I live in Fishers, IN. I have ordered from Oberers Flowers at least 4-5 times. The first 2 times the flower order experience was wonderful. But, my recent 2 orders (one just 12 days ago) which cost me close to $66, wasn't so delightful. The flowers looked dead the day of delivery and then died the next day. I had ordered those for my mom and was extremely dissappointed that Oberers put together flowers that were already dying. I wish they had told me this when I called to verify my order on 05/23/14. In trying to make my mom's day special... dead flowers didn't add much sunshine. I would recommed ordering from flowers.com or other websites. read more

I love this florist and have been pleased with everything I've purchased. That being said, I feel limited as I don't purchase any arrangements in their clear vases containing long stem arrangements- I don't like the big, square Oberer's promo sticker they slap on every vase. I wouldn't like this even if they were small stickers. Florists should not be advertising on the products. I will purchase small clear square containers or the terra cotta type containers. If they start adding stickers to these, I'll go somewhere else. read more

I got flowers delivered for my mom on Mother's Day and placed the order online as I'm in Chicago and she's in Carmel, IN. The arrangement I ordered was a beautiful garden vase with lots of roses, pink flowers, carnations, etc. I paid more than $90 including delivery only to find out that the vase she received looked like a $20 bouquet from Kroger. Saturday rolls around and my flowers STILL had not been delivered. When I contacted them they said they were out of flowers... so I cancelled that order. Oberers wonderful staff occasionally leaves flowers for us at my bank and I decided to give them a try. Their flower selection is just gorgeous! The walk in refrigerated area is huge and has the most beautiful arrangements ready to take home right then! They also have a wide variety of fresh cut bouquets that are so reasonably priced. On a gray day, just walk into this area and your mood will perk up immediately from the beauty that surrounds you! Verdict: BUYER BEWARE 8-5-15 This is an updated review, and I'm sad to say it's a negative one. When I first heard about Oberers and used their services it seemed like a dream come true: great prices, gorgeous flowers... but as time has progressed the "rose-colored" glasses have come off. My biggest concern with this company is that you never really know what you're going to get. It may be the best or it may be the worst. I have used this florist now nearly 30 times (I love sending flowers), and about 2 in 5 in a terrible experience. The flowers either are wrong, or the customer service is atrocious, or the flowers are dead ... Yes dead! My BF sent me flowers -- around a $150 bouquet -- that looked liked they had been sitting in a hot van for a week! I mean seriously at the very least the delivery guy handing them to me should have seen them and been like "hmmmmm let me call about these dying flowers" [ARE YOU BLIND?! WHY ARE YOU DELIVERING DRIED BROWN FLOWERS?!] Another time I sent a $70 bouquet with an additional $40 candy basket TO MY BOSS only to be embarrassed that they had given her this tacky wilting Kroger looking bouquet and 3 candy bars. So of course I called immediately and told them for the money I had spent they needed to rectify it and the employee at Oberers suggested that I COULD take the bouquet and candy and bring it in to exchange them, or if I could meet someone in the parking lot to exchange them at my office! --ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!-- You sent the wrong flowers and you expect me to go grab them from the person I gifted them to in order to exchange them because you couldn't do your job correctly the first time?! [Am I crazy or is THIS IS MADNESS???!!!!] Calling is entirely another matter, half the time when I call to ask questions or place an order I'm greeted with sunshine and warmth, the other 50% of the time is like trying to talk to an arrogant teenager giving me only one word answers between breathy sighs of annoyance. [I'm so sorry I'm making you work, but I really want to place an order.] And going in is nearly the same hit or miss. Some days I'm treated like a paying customer deserving of respect, other days it's like I showed up to a black tie event in hot pink sweatpants and I'm not only an eyesore but also an inconvenience. I am appalled with the company, and sorely disappointed with their services. Yes 3 out of 5 times everything goes smoothly, but it's sooooo not worth the aggravation of the other 2 times where I'm left embarrassed by the quality of flowers I've sent, angered by the complete lack of customer service to rectify a problem, or just treated badly in general for no reason at all. So sad, but I will never use their services again. There are far too many good florists around that are good 100% of the time. read more
