I was invited here by a friend for a flower arranging class, and I can't believe I haven't been before. I had so much fun during the class (and what a great idea for networking versus the traditional). The shop is small but filled with plenty of options. They also have a daily special for $19.99. It's always something different, sometimes themed seasonally, but never super small and well worth the $20. I haven't personally ordered any arrangements from them, but we have used them for events at the salon I work with and the arrangements have always come out exactly how we wanted. read more

My friend was delighted with the flowers. Customer Service was very friendly and efficient. My friend sent me a photo of the arrangement, and I feel I got excellent value for money. Only annoyance is that the florist itself cannot send photos of the delivery. This should not hold you back. They did a great job! read more

It is with great pleasure that I review Oberer's & give them 5 stars. You see, I've been many times in about 5 years since Oberer's opened, and things never were impressive. I kept going back because they were so close to my house, they had good parking, I was in a huryy, and it was a flower store for Pete's sake so how could it not be great?! But over & over I was not impressed with the staff (unfriendly, uninterested), the flowers (couldn't find any I really liked), nor the service. I haven't been back for over a year. Then.... I went this week because I needed flowers quickly on my way to a friend's house who had lost her mom, so I ventured in again. And YAH!! Oberer's was great!! 3 staff people, all pleasant, friendly, helpful, kind, thoughtful, quick, and the selection was ridiculously amazing ... the cooler was full of the most beautiful stunning flowers I have ever seen, and prices lower than I expected. Great staff, great service, great selection, great price ... how often do you see a place re-invent itself so well and go from mediocre (at best) to amazing. It was the best experience: everything I wanted. I now have no reason to shop elsewhere. So Oberer's keep it up and kudos to you. read more

I live in california, i looked for local florist to send my friend a plant. Find Oberer's flowers with 4.5 stars. The online order through their website is no hassle. After i ordered i got the confirmation. I checked everything is correct. After about 2 hours, i checked my email and got 2 emails, one is e receipt and the other one delivery confirmation said that they are going to redeliver after they get further information. I checked the e receipt. They put wrong recipient address on the e receipt. I called, i explained and they didnt even bother to say sorry, they just said i fixed it! One and a half hour later i got called from door dash, i didnt pick up since i didnt order anything from door dash. But the door dash person texted me and asked where should i place the order? I confused but suddenly i was thinking maybe oberer is using door dash. I asked the door dash person if the order was a flower. And she said yes. Input for the oberer's flower: please carefully process the online order, especially the recipient address. Please inform the customer about using the door dash to deliver, to avoid confussion! I am embarrassed by the arrangement (if you can call it that) I just received. We have bought arrangements from Oberers Carmel IN for years sometimes the daily special sometimes not. This is sad the 2 dozen rose are cut to the vase and dumped in. The only reason for the 3/5 stars is because corporate stepped in and fixed it by refunding my whole purchase. My boyfriend had a bouquet sent to my home and to my work. Both bouquets were lovely when they arrived, but both bouquets started to look really sad after only 4-5 days. That was with me trimming the stems and dumping and adding fresh water as I always do. My co-worker who helped me change the water at the one at my work even commented how surprised she was that they looked like they were all dying after only a few days!! He usually gets the bouquets from another local florist and a bouquet of roses from them lasts about 2 weeks and a lily arrangement can last 3-4 weeks. These did not even make it 1 week. I know they were probably not cheap either, so I wanted to share the experience. There are better services locally. I have asked him not to use this service anymore. read more

Oberer's Flowers - NEVER AGAIN!! Dec 2018, we ordered a plant on their website for a bereaved relative. They accepted the order but NEVER DELIVERED IT! They Never TOLD US that they had not delivered. Also, They KEPT OUR MONEY. Apr 2019, 4 months later, we learned that they had not delivered the order. When we called them, they CHASTISED US for not informing them of THEIR error. They REFUSED To honor the original contract that their website approved and would only refund us. We filed a BBB Claim to try to get them to Honor Their ORIGINAL CONTRACT but they never responded. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE Customer service. If I were them, I would have put the plant in my car and PERSONALLY Delivered IT. PLEASE DO NOT HONOR THIS COMPANY! read more

I have ordered flowers for my parents from these folks for quite a while now and every time my parents are wowed by the arrangements and delivery speed. I'm in California so I do it online. I even got same day delivery to mom and dad today! One instance I even messed up the delivery date by a whole week and they sent me a phone message responding that they would of course adjust the delivery. And that was after closing. The cost might be slightly (just a few dollars) above one of those basic chains but seriously it's worth it. I am grateful they let me express my love for my parents from thousands of miles away. I arrived at the shop at 10am on a Saturday, picked my own vases from their collection, then spoke with a gentleman about the look I was going for and how much I wanted to spend in total. I was fairly particular so we walked through the coolers and chose some flowers together. I came back at 1pm and all the arrangements were ready to go - and OH SO beautiful! I followed the advice of yelp florists and instead of ordering flowers on 1800flowers or ftd.com again, I searched for a florist close to my friend's place and called in an order. That is how I found Oberer. The person on the phone was very nice and helpful and the flowers got delivered as scheduled. However, I asked my friend to send me a photo of the flowers and the bouquet was very underwhelming. The order was $45, though I think almost $10 of those were the delivery fee. Even so, i would expect more from a $35 bouquet. Posting the photo so you can see for yourself. I can't speak to buying flowers in store but in terms of ordering without seeing them, I recommend someone else or sticking with FTD. read more

Another wedding planning review that started out rocky... but finished wonderfully. Okay, first meetings at Oberers was pretty bad. I told the woman I wanted my theme to be rustic, simple, and not too crazy. This was my first flower consultation and I was by myself with no where to start. I told her my budget and we went from there. An hour later I was almost $2000 over budget and a lot of the stuff was DIY.. as in ... I was going to put it together the day before! I took that estimate and left. Then I procrastinated... a lot... and didn't do any research for any place else... so I booked another appointment... and thank goodness I did! They had just hired a new bridal consultant, Loreal, who was fantastic! She was still learning the Midwest flowers because she moved form the West coast but she was able to see my vision and even googled my venue to get a better idea of the ambiance. She went above and beyond! My tables, bridesmaids bouquets, and Boutineers were all really simple but for my bridal bouquet I was going to do it myself with my grandmothers' old brooches. Well Loreal said she really wanted to make the bouquet for me and it was her first time messing with the brooches but it turned out phenomenal. Completely unbelievable. I am shocked at what just transpired at this flower shop. I ordered condolence flowers through their website to be delivered to Lizton, IN on 10/7. They were to be delivered on 10/8. They were never delivered and when I called to find out what happened, they said they "dont deliver to Lizton" and "were trying to find a florist there to outsource to". If I hadn't called, I would never haven known the flowers never made it there. Beware if you order online from them, they do not inform you if your zipcode is out of their delivery area. This was highly disappointing given the timing of the funeral, etc...I will not be returning. read more
