Used their online site to order Sympathy flowers for my ex mother in law in CA. Ordered and GUARANTEED delivery on Saturday. Never arrived. Annoyed. I called their 317 number Sunday and they said to call back on Monday and speak to distribution center. And they said that once they push it along to a CA shop (not even a McNamara shop but a local shop) they NO LONGER TRACK IT. Really? My husband called Monday for me bc I had to work and they said that they would follow up AND if need be send to another vendor and deliver that day, Monday. NEVER arrived! Now very annoyed. I reached out to my ex husband and he just said that the thought was nice and don't worry about it. Get a refund and avoid the hassle. I ended up calling McNamara back and cancelling the order. These were sympathy flowers. You'd think a large company like this would do better to track their orders. I should've just used a CA site but my husband recommended this company. I won't use them again. Annoyance on top of grief is not the outcome I want. read more

Was walking by today and noticed they were having what I later learned was their annual 50% off Green Plants in March Sale! I ended up being helped by the nicest lady! She showed me plants in my budget, color, and room situation in which they would be going! I ended up getting 3 plants including a Stag horn for $28 and I couldn't be happier! I was so awed by the store I didn't event think about taking any photos. Please do yourself a favor and stop in they will be running the sale and getting new plants coming as the sale goes on but the prices regardless if they are having their sale or not are really great! I like going toMcNamara florist because they always have a lot of selections for different occasions. We had a funeral to go. So when we walked in we were asked if she could help us. We told her we were looking for something for a funeral. I didn't want the normal flower arrangement or a planter. Flower die and some people don't have a green thumb. She told us just to look around and give her a yell when we found something. I found a lantern and ask her what I could put in it. She seen my husband's Harley shirt and ask if he rode and he did. They have a motorcycle statue and they put it in with some fall colors it turned out really cute. They have such a beautiful store and they did an amazing job with a flower bouquet I needed at the last minute.

It's a winter wonderland! While on the northwest side, my wife asked me if there was a McNamara Florist in the area. (We normally visit the one in Greenwood.) I Yelped and found this one near Brebeuf on 86th. They share a parking lot which was nearly full because of the nice mix of shops in the plaza. But we lucked out and got a space right in front of the store. As soon as we entered, we were surrounded by colorful Christmas decorations. All kinds of things we might be looking for, as well as some things we hadn't imagined. My wife really likes some of the table standing items as well as their lamps. So we checked out some glass/crystal and acrylic candle stands. Unfortunately, they only had two sizes since a taller one had been broken earlier in the week by someone's kid. (This is not a place for kids to touch things or run around!) But the clerk did call around to see if any of the other stores had a taller one. We also checked out the live plant room (year around). Although we didn't buy any, we learned about the care for some of them while there. There are lots of trees and garlands already decorated, but you can buy the basic trees as well. Each one displayed in the store has a theme of subject and/or color palette. It really lets you see what a tastefully decorated tree could be. As I said, the service was helpful and friendly without hovering. We were free to browse and then stopped at the counter to get more assistance. No wait times either! This is a cool store to check out when you want to start getting in the mood for the Christmas season. It tends to run a bit on the high side in price, but it isn't the mass produced stuff you find at the big box stores. And quality tends to last. Review #3320 read more

This place is beautiful use to be a pier one and it's been a florist shop for a little over a year now. Needed a new pot for a plant that was getting too big. I was there looking around for about 5 minutes before someone came over to ask if I needed help. She checked back in on me after another 5 minutes asking if I seen anything I like! I appreciate the attentiveness, the pot I bought was a pretty good price but I seen a plant that I wanted for $60 thought it was pretty overpriced for a snake plant. read more

I would highly recommend that you do not use this florist, as they were not an advocate to our needs when sending our daughter flowers on her 40th birthday. We had made plans with this florist days prior and the florist guaranteed that the flowers would be excellent. Well... They were only a few flowers and the plant that came with the bouquet was dying (looked like some type of blight). We called and complained to only have the company want to reimburse us 20% of the $135+ we spend on the arrangement. They stated initially they could resend a different bouquet, but this was to be a surprise and would have been more embarrassing on top of what was already received. Very , Very, Very, disappointing. Growing up around the Indianapolis area I have frequented McNamara for Mother's day, girlfriends, proms, etc. This review is for the exceptional service we had this month. Being that it is prom season it is perfectly reasonable to think ahead and order your flowers. However, we did not do that. We were in a pinch for a baby shower requiring at least 4 bouquets with special baby themed vases. They placed a special order for us for the baby boy vases and got all the bouquets done in time in short order. Cannot thank them enough for helping us out! read more

Mom's favorite colors in the arrangement has purples and pinks. Astra Mara flowers always last long. I had a bad customer service experience when I attempted to order flowers more than a week in advance to be delivered to my girlfriend's Thanksgiving celebration. I wanted to purchase a nice impressive spread for their celebration because I am out of town. The costless action of taking a digital photo and e-mailing it became a huge problem and that is why I cancelled the order. I wasted 20 minutes placing the order on the phone with the CSR, and after I provided my payment information, I requested that the florist take a photo of the arrangement and e-mail it to me. The CSR, showing some reasonable trepidation, said she needed to ask her manager about my request. They apparently do not get this request often (surprising). I fully expected that because it was a zero cost adding request, it would be no problem. I thought wrong-and conclude that McNamara Customer Service failed. The CSR came back from the manager to tell me that they could not take the picture, which started a debate. I was outraged, but I patiently explained that I was out of town and wanted to be see it to properly respond to the thank you I would recieve. This is not unreasonable because Watts Blooming downtown SUGGESTED she take the picture when I ordered flowers from her. When I hung up the phone the CSR told me that they could try but not guarantee (she didn't convince me because she didn't even ask for my e-mail address). I sent a fiery e-mail explaining my problem to the management of McNamara at their customer service address found at their web page. I explained what happened, and said that if they do not send me a picture, I would cancel my order. I am not afraid to issue ultimatums. The manager at McNamara centcom replied as follows: " [Dear Aaron, Thank you for your inquiry and your floral order. When making a promise to a customer, McNamara never takes this 'lightly' and considers it both an honor and a privilege to provide the highest quality product and service. If a service is performed that is not part of our normal operations there is an unpredictable margin for error. When this order was entered in our system the email address should have been included. I apologize for any confusion. Your email address has been included with your order. We will do our very best to provide you with a picture of the arrangement, however our company cannot guarantee this service. Thanks, again, Debbie Watson] " No guarantee!! Wrong answer...- Order cancelled. And that is all it takes to lose a customer forever. Stick up for yourself. I could not be happier with the excellent customer service provided by this business. I live in southern Indiana and called at 5pm to order a floral arrangement for a funeral service that was being held in Indianapolis at 11 am the next morning. They arranged and delivered a beautiful floral arrangement after being given a very vague description of what I wanted. The pricing was incredibly reasonable and the customer service was top notch. I do like picking up the odd bunch from Trader Joe's, but when quality and presentation is key, I am a McNamara devotee. This location is usually where I shop simply because I've been going there for so long and it's in the same strip center as a few other businesses I frequent. More often than not, I can find something in the walk-in cooler for my local and immediate flower-bestowing needs. For myself, I like to create from the single stem display table near the entrance. I CANNOT believe I am writing this review since I worked at this store for 4 years! While working here I saw some of the most inspired design work I have ever witnessed from any florist. Unique and beautiful. Since I have left, not one of my co-workers remains which is sad, but I decided to place an order with them anyways out of trust and loyalty. Having worked in the industry, I know how frustrating and overwhelming it can get, but the services I received were unacceptable. I spoke with Debbie and from the go she was condescending and confrontational. Apparently there was static on the line, but there was nothing I could do about that. Having ordered flowers going to Brownsburg before, which is a special courier charge, I did not think it would be a problem. She spoke to me as though I were an idiot for making such a request. After having spoke to her I have little faith in what I am going to receive, but we will find out. Sadly, this will be my last time ever ordering from McNamara--they got rid of some of their best designers and now have rude, disrespectful individuals in the role of Manager and team. If you are looking for customer service, I would stay away...Hopefully their designs will make up for their attitude... I saw what was delivered and it was HORRIBLE. The only reason I didn't complain to them is because my cousin was happy with it. Do not go to this McNamara--you will only be disappointed and treated like and idiot. read more

I can't say enough about the wonderful service provided by Michael at the store on 86th Street by Trader Joes. I dropped into the store as a passerby to see what was on sale since there were big signs on the door. Michael met me and we began a conversation, I bought the most beautiful white orchids with many pods yet to bloom, planted in a gorgeous little white ceramic pot. Then found a huge, luxurious box weave mirror up top that was also on sale. Michael got a ladder and the others helped jimmy it to the side so we could take a good look. I bought it as well...and came back the next day to pick up in my SUV. Michael and staff met me at the back door and loaded it for me! The service and the product line at this store is superb. I will be back. By the way, Michael is a florist and has been with McNamara for over 17 years! Can't say enough good things. read more
