Probably some of the best produce in town, and great prices on Hispanic groceries and items that you don't find in most Name brand markets. I also love the fact that they have ready to serve Barbacoa, Carnitas, and other items in the back "deli." And the fresh fried chicharrones are the best. I love coming here for the big cans of hominy for time when I'm making Pozole Roja, or for Napales (cactus) and other specialty Hispanic items. They also have a great selection of kitchen ware if you need it. Come check them out

In my family tradition, for the holidays, we have a special type of almond candy called turron. There are several styles like alicante and jijona. Mercado Marias has it! Got my turron and more! Fresh chorizo, spices, and just about any Latino grocery product item you want! The store is a bit cramped, but so worth the go! Reasonable prices here and very pleasant staff. I highly recommend the store for all those hard to find Hispanic grocery items on your list! Gracias, Mercados Marias! El chorizo fue muy delicioso y me alegró tanto que tienes el turron que estabamos buscando! Definitivamente volveré de compras a tu tienda. They have a small kitchen where they prepare tacos, quesadillas, mulitas, tortas, burritos, and other classic Mexican food items on demand. I was especially excited to see that they have quesabirria and birria tacos for sale. I went for their $1 Taco Tuesday deal and was elated with the quality of my food, which was an absolute steal. The deal only applies to certain tacos, including steak, chicken, and chorizo. They actually ran out of cilantro because I came later in the day, so I sliced my lime and chopped my own cilantro to complete my taco. In addition to their hot food section, they have a butcher, a fresh produce section, a refrigerated drink wall, and two aisles of dry Latin grocery items and snacks. The produce here is more affordable than nearby grocery stores! I will definitely be back for Taco Tuesdays and to try their birria tacos.

Nothing against the crazy, experimental white people tacos, but Mi Pueblito is real, traditional Mexican food. Truly traditional street tacos. The green sauce was really good, spicy, but good! The carne burrito was also really good as well. We ordered, 14 street tacos, a burrito and a side of avocado for 4 people, cost us about $30; and we had left overs. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for some great tacos!!

The quality of everything they sell is top-notch, and it's become one of my favorite local spots for fresh meat. But this visit, I have to talk about the blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Wow. It was one of those desserts that makes you stop talking after the first bite. The cobbler was warm, packed with sweet blueberries, and had the perfect buttery, crumbly topping. Paired with the cold, creamy vanilla ice cream melting into it, it was absolutely incredible. I honestly wasn't expecting to find one of my favorite desserts at a butcher shop, but here we are! The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions or make recommendations. You can tell they genuinely care about the quality of their products and the experience they provide. It's rare that I update a review, but this place earned it. Between the outstanding meats, excellent customer service, and now one of the best blueberry cobblers I've had, Light Hill Meats keeps giving me reasons to come back. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor--grab some meat for dinner and don't leave without trying the blueberry cobbler and vanilla ice cream. You can thank me later!
