The place has a great view, close to the water. The server was not having a good day. She told us about the specials and mentioned the drink special. Said it was a Chardonnay so we ordered it and she brought out champagne we questioned it and she realized she misread the card and realized it was champagne made from Chardonnay grapes. We felt bad she had to take it back after it was poured but we really didn't want champagne. We ordered the corn and asked if we could cut it off the cob. She said of course and told us she'd bring a knife. It never came. We had to ask a few times before the knife arrived. Was disappointed that they were out of clams but was happy with my second choice of rock shrimp. The food was good and the ambiance was nice. Me and my wife are staying at the hotel and decided to give oasis on the beach a chance. I have never meet more rude staff in my life. The guys name might have been Ryan not 100% though. Food was alright but I would recommend Dukes or Bull shed instead. read more

The food was 10/10 but what stood out the most to be was the AMAZING staff. I have gluten and dairy allergies, all I did was ask for an allergen menu and they brought the manager over immediately to review the menu with me- he gave me a few options and also was able to make alterations to certain meals to accommodate me. I went with the steak and they replaced the sauce with a beat harissa sauce, it was AMAZING. The food was so wonderful, the view was beautiful and the customer service was out standing. My wife and I are celebrating our 25 wedding anniversary and were looking for a restaurant on the beach to enjoy the sunset. I found Oasis on the Beach and was absolutely blown away by the caliber of food coming out of the kitchen. We had steak, garlic mashed potatoes, lobster tail and pork potstickers. The steak was delicious and you could cut it with a fork. Ryan gave us the best table in the house and our server Charlie took care of us. Went here in the evening after sunset. You need to walk through a hotel/timeshare and then wind your way down a dark path as if you are going to your room. At night, it's really dark and a few times I wasn't convinced we were going the correct way. We were seated facing the ocean. You can't see the water at night mainly because it's dark on the beach and you are under the lights. It was still cool to hear the ocean. The menu is limited. Not sure if that is normal. We ordered fried calamari for starters. The sauce and calamari were great. My wife ordered Poke as an entree (more on that later). I ordered the Seared catch which was ahi on okinawa sweet potato. Wow, it was great. Nice thick piece of fish. Unfortunately, they brought out my food with a second order of fried calamari. They somehow thought my wife ordered calamari after we had it already. Must have been the mix up with the Poke being on the appetizer menu. I waited about 5 minutes for them to create it before we both dug in. This is a nice place to go when on vacation and looking for a unique experience. If I'm a local or return, I'm not sure. Too many other great choices. read more

Oh my goodness, do yourself a favor and visit this gem!! The team there are all lovely and very accommodating! After an untasteful experience at a nearby restaurant, we decided to have dinner elsewhere. That's when we called Oasis on the Beach, and their team was able to make our reservation very easily over the phone. When we got there, Ryan (the host) was extremely welcoming from the moment we stepped in until he waved goodbye to us on our way out. He made sure we were very comfortable. Then Charlie (our waiter) came in with the happiest attitude, and let us in on the specials and the crowd favorites. We had the burrata tomatoes for the appetizer, and the filet mignon for dinner. The restaurant itself is nice. It's right on the beach and has a beautiful view. The service was also great - everyone was very friendly and attentive. No complaints there. The food, however, was very disappointing. We ordered the clams and poke as our starters. The clams were fine, but the poke was honestly inedible. No flavor and the rice was so undercooked that it was still crunchy. The texture of fish was also something I've never experienced before. If I hadn't already known that it was fish, I don't think I would have ever guessed it was fish. It definitely wasn't fresh, I'm guessing it may have been frozen for a long time or frozen and refrozen? Not sure how fish would end up the way it did. The rest of our food was mediocre, but the rice that came with the curry was the same rice that was served with the poke. So it was also undercooked and crunchy. Overall, cute place to get drinks and maybe fries or chips. Do not recommend for dinner though. read more

AMAZING!!! I was worried about the price but they are worth every penny. They have a special every night based on what a local fisherman brings in for them that day. I had blue marlin it was prepared with gnocchi and lobster sauce. It was simply a dream. Other at my table had the ahi and the burger. Also we started with the wontons and sweet potato crisps. Every bite was perfection! And the drinks are incredible as well. Best Mia Tia I've had on the island. I asked them to add cherrys I recommend this as they have fancy cherry (not the regular everyday marchino these were something else and sooo good) Would return ever night if possible. The best staff I have ever encountered at any restaurant and especially a fine dining one. They went above and beyond fulfilling any small requests or changes we needed (brought a blanket, took a picture, changing a beverage, etc). In regards to the food, Chef Sean is amazing. For those of us who book modest accommodations when traveling, eating at a resort restaurant is a nice way to experience the luxury ambience for an hour or two. For this reason, I recommend Oasis on the Beach if you're in the mood for a quiet, sedate dinner on the beautiful grounds of the Waipoili Beach Resort. Oasis bills itself as farm to table, emphasizing the use of local produce and seafood as much as possible. Plates are colorful and the food is delicately seasoned. However, Mr. Crankypants' duroc pork chop was not local, and in fact our server informed us that the local pork is not of sufficient quality for this establishment. We did not ask about the beef. My local fish (uku) was excellent. Curiously, our drinks took a long time to arrive. It's weird to start drinking a Mai Tai when you're halfway through your dinner. It was potent, and excellent. I would have enjoyed sipping my cocktail for a few minutes before my meal arrived. read more

I love this place. They have amazing cocktails and great food as well! We came here for the first time and got mai tai's (some of the best on the island) and sweet potato chips. The chips were delicious, i would get them all the time if I could! We came back a second time for dinner and that didn't disappoint either. We had a wonderful experience here!!! The restaurant is right on the water and connects to a hotel however we did notice there were several locals also butted up to the bar. If you're staying at a waterfront hotel you can walk along the bike path to easily get here. That was our plan however it started to rain heavily so we Ubered which was really cheap and easy. Our server Henry was so fun and friendly! The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were great too! We'll definitely be coming here every visit to Kapaa. read more

As was the special lobster added to the catch of the day. MaiTai was a bit different, but nice, not too sweet as so many. Five stars from start to finish. The food was exceptional, service was great and beachfront ambience wonderful. We sat right up front near the beach and enjoyed the view as much as the food. The cocktails were well crafted and their wine list well curated. It was possibly the best Mai tai I've had on Kauai. It had a homemade orgeat and three types of rum. It sure was not the glass of juice we had the night before at Hualani. The old fashioned was perfect. The large ice cube didn't overwhelm the glass and the luxardo cherry was a nice touch. My husband enjoyed a bone dry German Riesling as well. We inhaled our apps. The sweet potato chips with homemade poblano cheese sauce were just perfection. The fried wontons were a flavor explosion! So well done! The presentation was a work of art which is truly a feast for all your senses. Our main courses were also plated with an eye for beauty with delicate edible flowers. I had the grilled catch and subbed in a lobster tail. The marriage of all the flavors and textures had me closing my eyes and literally moaning. The island take on gnocchi made with homemade poblano cheese made with breadfruit flour was a nice touch. My husband had the seared catch which was ahi. This dish also had amazing flavor and presentation. The Okinawan sweet potato mash was wonderful . I cannot stress enough how amazing this dinner was. We had a very disappointing dinner the night before at hualani which was all ambience and a no go on the food. Oasis was sheer perfection. The dessert was also amazing and plated with artistry. The fried lumpia was gorgeous! The smoked salt vanilla gelato, Caramel sauce and fresh whipped cream made a dance of flavors! My husband had the sandy beach dessert. The sand was a crumbled macadamia nut cookie, it also had a green olive oil spice cake and pandan gelato. It's hard to describe the delicate and refreshing flavors; Nutty, sweet vanilla, green.
