I've gone here about 4 or 5 times now and they are always nice, easy to make appt by phone, give a good mani/pedi and my regular polish is just coming to the end of its life today from 10 days ago (sometimes you get luckier than others). I called to make an apt to get waxed. The lady that answered the phone was rude and short. Once I arrived for the treatment they were still rude. I was taken into a back room that was dirty and had no spa feeling what so ever. She asked me to lie down and proceeded to put wax all over my face. She was so sloppy when doing it that I had it up my nose and all over my cheeks. I left there with the wax still on my face. I know have a rash all over my face. I would never go back or recommend Oasis Spa to anyone. read more

This nail salon used to be good. The last few times I have gone, the pedicure was really sub par. I feel that they rush through the work, and do not seem to have much training. They would really benefit from watching the meticulous manicurist on youtube, because they dont have a clue how to do a pedicure. They did apply the polish well though, which I could have done myself. More training, more time spent with client and a smile would be nice for 45.00. read more

The staff were efficient and somewhat attentive but I found the shop and atmosphere to be sloppy and messy with rags on the floor and cords everywhere. It definitely did not have a 'spa atmosphere'. If you need a quick mani/pedi they will do an okay job, but if your looking to be pampered - skip it. read more

I had gel nails put on the day before my wedding. What a mistake this was: the technician cut my cuticles twice with no apology whatsoever. I was not going to review this place, but today I came back from another salon and my nails were just perfect, they look natural. Oasis on the other hand, well let's just say I felt I had appendages at the end of my fingers. There was no filing under the tips, nor the sides, the shape was odd and the gel was bulky on different fingers. I think this technician should either leave the profession or get another attitude - some customer relations course would benefit her. The colour application was done by another technician and she was more personable and did apply the colour well. I was excited to go to the nail salon as a quick nail salon on Oak Bay Avenue is a perfect addition to the up-scale neighbourhood. I ASSUMED (wrongly) that a nail salon on Oak Bay avenue would provide very high quality service due to the clientele. The set up is typical for an in-and out nail salon. Unfortunately, I received the worst pedicure of my life:( I have NEVER had the polish chip off after 3 days. Pedicure polish usually lasts for months until your nails grow out, not this case. I am not sure if it was the quality of the polish or lack of enough coats but I was not impressed with the longevity of the pedicure. The technician did appear to know what she was doing however, good food massage. Payment was a bit odd: as the owners sort of give you a wink and suggest you should pay in cash and they will give you a discount. I had noted a promotion on their website and was not offered this promotion until I mentioned it. Pricing was high. I paid $70 for both pedicure and manicure. They do not try to engage you on a personal level and sit around speaking their languages which is a little disconcerting as a few times I did feel like they were talking about my friend and I. Anyways, overall this is a low-grade nail salon, with poor customer service and poor quality work for a high price. read more

Popped in for a mini-manicure (basically shaping and regular polish) en route to an event. Service was a bit impersonal/brusque, but quick and efficient. Had my nails painted within minutes, then spent some time under the heat lamp to dry them, followed by drying drops. A full week later my nails are still flawless. This has never happened before with any manicure - they always seem to degrade within a few days. Price was very reasonable. If I lived in the city, this would definitely be my regular place. read more
