This was an extreme upset for such a beautiful hotel and resort. The service was horrible, the food was disgusting, and was way overpriced.

We went on day that unfortunately was raining; so we time it out when the rain stopped or slowed down. It is nice little restaurant. They mainly offer takeout only. They do have dine in sorta. Is not an inside but a few picnic tables with a cover. The cover is not big enough to block the rain. They have plenty of parking. It is located in small shopping center. As we arrived and walked up. The smell of something delicious brewing! They unfortunately just only accept cash. The menu is conveniently posted on the wall and very easy to read. We just had few people in front of us. I opted for the fried oyster and fried fish (swai) platter. We had to get a shrimp poboy. They are well known for their sandwiches. We also got an order of onion rings and Shrimp Lo Mein. She said our order will take a while. She gave us a buzzer. She advised us we will buzz you when it is ready. We waited in our vehicle. As we paid for it. Just happened a crowd of people showed up. It actually did not take that long to cook. On the way home the smell of deliciousness filled the air. The oyster and fish platter looked amazing and tasty. It came with a small cup of potato salad, roll, cocktail sauce and tartar sauce, hush puppies and a generous amount of crinkle cut fries. The shrimp poboy was large with plenty of large shrimp. It came fully dressed (mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles) Large order of onion rings. Order of Shrimp Lo Mein. Very tasty! All were so delicious and amazing! Besides the weather. Recommend making this your next takeout meal.

Ever since Ms. Mary's Gumbo House closed, I have been fiending for some good home style Soul cooking. I was invited here the other day by one of our local county supervisors and taking me here for lunch has secured my vote in the next election. Alice's Cafe offers a daily special menu that includes a main course item and two sides, dessert and muffin or cornbread for about $8.00. On my first visit was on a Tuesday and I had the baked chicken (**** stars) Cornbread dressing (***** stars) and a squash casserole (***** stars). Everything was delicious even the cornbread and the sweet tea is perfectly made. Not too sweet but sweet enough!!! The lovely ladies who run this tiny hole in the wall make you feel like you're at grandma's house and the food is cooked with the same amount of love, also, Ms. Pat makes desserts you can buy from her (everything in the place is made from scratch btw). I'm also pretty sure it's the kind of food Gordon Ramsay would more than appreciate. It's just that good, if you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it.

It was absolutely delicious- all the food was freshly cooked and came out piping hot. The workers there were incredibly nice- two very sweet ladies. Every single dish was tasty and full of flavor. Quite easy to find. We luck out, as lunch time rush was ending. Several tables opened up and we had choices on where to sit. You seat yourself and as soon as you sit down. We opted for a booth instead of a table. Table looks great and padding on bottom and with hard wood backing. Booth has but more cushion. Either both bottom and back padding. Plenty of tables. In the main lobby or in next room. They have a large flat screen TV that is wall mounted in the corner. The lovely waitress will be happy to come by and greet you. She handed us the menu and asked if we have any questions about it. She made a few recommendations and took our drinks order. Start out with a sweet tea and Thai tea. It was lunch time and was not very hungry but wanted to get something to hold us over till later that evening. And suggested that we try some soup/pho. She said it will fill you up and leave satisfied. Just do not do the super side bowl. You will not be able to finish it. Started out with the Pho Dac Biet (Pho dac biet is a Vietnamese translation for all kinds of special beef variations such as raw sliced steak, beef tripe, brisket, tendons, and Vietnamese meatballs) and rounded out with the Pho Tom (Pho tom is a delightful Vietnamese dish that perfectly combines succulent shrimp, tender rice noodles, and a rich, aromatic broth.) she asked if we would love to have fresh chili? And the other condiments are already on the table for your convenience. She quickly came back with fresh chili sauce and the fresh vegetables. She mentioned that soup will be out shortly. She quickly brought the soups. The aroma of the broth was amazing! Came out good. I noticed that my broth could use a little bit more than the usual sauce to enhance the flavor. However, I made the mistake of adding a bit too much chili sauce. It ended up being too spicy. It was still good. Just over did it a bit. It was good. It was just the right amount. Left full but satisfied. When you are done. Feel free to come to the register at the main lobby to pay. She mentioned that if you wish to save few dollars. She suggested that you pay cash instead of card to avoid the hassle of credit card fee to run it. No Wi-Fi I can see and feel free to reach out if they offer military discount.

Also order a half pound of the boiled shrimp. Shrimp came out first and the best thing that I can say is that they were eatable. Not for sure if they were freezer burnt prior to cooking, but being a life long coast guy, I have eaten freezer burnt shrimp at home cookouts and it was the same. Don't get me wrong, they were not horrible, but they should have been better. Now to the flounder. The presentation was nice and the taste of the fish was really good. The down side was the lemon cream topping that was added. My biggest complaint was that it was too sweet and thick. It would have been great over a cornbread or something like that, but in my opinion, it ruined the flounder. On a brighter note, the service is incredible. Not only was the food service great, but our waitress went above and beyond to strike up conversation while we waited on our food, despite the place being packed. 10/10 for the service; 3/10 on food served. Would I go back, YES . But not for the stuffed flounder

This place has been open for a while. Finally got the opportunity to check this specific place out. I was so glad I did! I did not realize that it is a perfect location for it too. Very convenient off the main road in the corner for easy access. Plenty of parking and traffic light if you are planning to go the opposite way out. As we walk in. Not only they offer plenty of parking. They of course have a drive-thru for your convenience. The front door is on corner and has back entrance as well. They have great outdoor dining area when the weather permits. I know you maybe be overwhelmed by the many great selections they offer. However, they staff is so friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. Especially the regular customers! They notice our development. They are so kind to point out several options they might be interested in. We agreed to give the French Toast (topped with powdered sugar and cinnamon, with a side strawberries and bananas) and an Americano with almond milk since I was lactose intolerant. We also noticed they just brought out some fresh baked cinnamon muffins. We just had to try it! And wash it down with a matcha latte. They gave us number tag to place on our table and said they will bring it out shortly. We looked for a nice spot near the window. They mainly offer hardwood vintage tables and chairs. It is comfortable with little padding on the bottom with a hard metal back. If you are looking for something more comfortable. They offer a nice selection of couches in the corner. They brought out our order to us. Let me just say it looks great and tastes amazing! I was impressed as always! If you are ever in the area. Make this your spot if you looking for something sweet and energize your day. Free Wi-Fi available. I believe it is password protected. Please reach out to the team for assistance.

My two favorites are the Newk's Club or the Turkey Avocado. Everything is made to order and you can see it all done right behind the counter, then they will bring it out to you. I appreciate that the soups are lower in calories, as are most of the salads. I really like the veggies that go in the greek salad, too.
