AMAZING meal -- one of the best I've ever eaten! Certainly worth the 60 Euro Prix Fix 2 course meal (70 for 3 courses). This would be TWICE as much in The States -- probably more as you get a lovely a-muse-bouche as well. Located in a small hotel on the edge of Doolin, you may not expect world class cuisine -- but that's what you get from wizard chef Cezary Sodeland and owner/manager Kieran o Halloran. Small, elegant, but not pretentious room, the service was spot on from the beginning and the food just kept coming until we surrendered. The plating and quality were first rate - you almost didn't want to eat the food as it was art. Photos were a must. Starters: Seared Scallops - plumb, juicy, perfect. Crab Cannelloni - different than what you'd expect, a flavor burst in every bite. Mains: Fillet of Irish Lamb -- so tender, not gamey at all -- wish there were more as it was devoured. Black Sole - another winner -- again perfect. Dessert: Warm Blackcurrent Souffle -- you had me at "warm." Wow! This may have been our favorite meal during our two week stay in England and Ireland. Book early and come relax and elevate your taste buds.

Food, service and ambiance ! We had the 3 course tasting menu and every single bite was a delight. We had the smoked mackerel, foie gras, duck, scallops and soufflé dessert... just incredible. The oysters were the best I have ever had! Who puts apples inside an oyster! ? Delicious. The attention to detail was impeccable and I would describe the place as fine dining but not stuffy. We felt like we were having some excellent food at a friend's house. The wine menu was quite extensive with so many good options it made it difficult to decide. If you ever find yourself in Doolin and you enjoy culinary excellence make this place your first stop. Thank you Kieran for making us feel so welcomed and we wish you nothing but success.

From the small back deck you can look over this town all the way to the high cliffs that drop into the ocean, creating picturesque views of the orange, red and pink sunset. We arrived to a small sign personally welcoming us. Niall and Darra treated us like family while we stayed at their house and even dined at their table. They were personally acquainted with the entire area and gave us honest recommendations for spending our days there. We were able to see the Cliffs without crowds because of their directions. We then had the perfect dinner of local food at Roadford House where we walked along stonewalls past cows, horses, and sheep to the intimate dining room overlooking pastures. We ended the night by enjoying local music at O'Connor's Pub just a minute walk from the Sea View. We would highly recommend staying at the Sea View for at least a few nights on your trip to Ireland. Thanks again Darra and Niall, Ryan and Cristina

The rooms (we stayed in more than one), the food, the hospitality and the views were all just perfect. If we could give them more stars, we would. We are looking into flights to go back and I had to look up this amazing B&B because we will absolutely be making a reservation on our upcoming trip! We were so engrossed and enamored in our first experience in Ireland, and neither of us did reviews, but I feel like I need to say WE ADORE SEA VIEW HOUSE!! We are very much looking forward to another visit!!

Sandra was a ray of sunshine in the midst of a rainy afternoon, providing shelter and sustenance to our travel weary group. I loved the layout of the rooms; each bearing the name of a famous Irish author. There were books by and pictures of the author and in the general housekeeping booklet, there was a brief history of them as well. I was upstairs in the W.B. Yates room. The large slanted windows allowed natural light to fill the room and show off the colours and design of the decor. The bed was spacious, and extremely comfortable, and the down comforter valiantly fought of the cold that was trying to creep into my bones. I also loved the bathroom area; quaint and modern at the same time. When we had rested and gotten the lay of the land from Sandra, we enjoyed some time playing chess and relaxing. It felt as though we were in a home away from home. This is the house that I would have built and decorated if I decided to live with some of my best friends in Ireland. In your room, you could pre-order what you wanted for breakfast in addition to the continental breakfast buffet that was available. You could list the time you wanted breakfast and the dish, and just show up downstairs in the morning. I ordered the melted cheese and toast, eggs and bacon. We were greeted in the morning with hot tea or coffee, while looking across the grasses all the way out to the waves crashing on the cliffs. On slightly warmer, less windy and rainy days, I think having breakfast outside would be quite the treat. I loved every minute of being at Doolin Views and was extremely gracious for Sandra's hospitality. My only regret was that we were only able to stay for one night, especially as the price was quite reasonable. It feels like the type of place where you could relax and fully recharge the batteries of your soul and make you ready to face the world. If your travels take you to Doolin, you would be well advised to spend some nights at Doolin Views.

They have a nice breakfast menu and an honor bar stocked with everything for an evening drink. The rooms are Irish writer themed, good size and very clean. They think of everything including a flashlight for walking to pubs at night. And I've only been here for 10 minutes!!!
