The B&B is set on a…read morehill overlooking a quaint village with a single row of brightly colored cottages leading through idyllic fields (there is even a white horse leisurely living in the field below). From the small back deck you can look over this town all the way to the high cliffs that drop into the ocean, creating picturesque views of the orange, red and pink sunset. We arrived to a small sign personally welcoming us. Niall and Darra treated us like family while we stayed at their house and even dined at their table. They were personally acquainted with the entire area and gave us honest recommendations for spending our days there. We were able to see the Cliffs without crowds because of their directions. We then had the perfect dinner of local food at Roadford House where we walked along stonewalls past cows, horses, and sheep to the intimate dining room overlooking pastures. We ended the night by enjoying local music at O'Connor's Pub just a minute walk from the Sea View. We would highly recommend staying at the Sea View for at least a few nights on your trip to Ireland. The guest lounge had a few books on history of the area. There were a few bottles of wine available for purchase on the honor system, which was a nice touch if you wanted to take it along on an evening stroll along the beach. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with most of the ingredients coming out of the kitchen garden. My hubby even had a choice of duck or chicken eggs from the family's own birds!

It's a beautifully decorated, warm friendly house with spacious and comfortable rooms. The location is across the street from restaurants and a great pub (Fitzpatrick's) with pub food and trad music (other pub and eating options within easy walking distance). The breakfast was outstanding, served in a bright dining area with views; and the hosts were gracious and helpful. (Plenty of parking and free wifi.) From now on this will be our first choice for any future visits to Doolin.
