    Egg Slut Breakfast sandwich

While hidden gem is used too often that is the only term to describe this place. Located at Frog Hollow Marina in Watkins Glen it offers amazing food and drinks and the friendliest people in the area. Fish tacos are absolutely amazingly delicious! Sunday brunch egg slit sandwich superb! We will go back as many times as it takes to try every menu item with many specials changing daily. Open Friday/Saturday 11am to 9pm and Sunday 9am to 7pm it is a must visit place while in town and you will not regret it! Ed

This place is the bomb!!! It's a little off the beaten path in Watkins Glen. It's on the canal and there are plenty of slips to park your boat. It's just such an adorable place and so cutely decorated. The owner has paid such attention to detail! The outside tables are right on the water and complete with umbrellas. The staff is super-friendly! They have everything for your drinking needs and they also have a food menu. You seriously don't want to miss this place! Dogs are also welcome outside.

The Oar House is a hidden treasure off the busy end of the lake. Don't be fooled by the drive in as you pass commercial type businesses. The staff is friendly and inviting. The food is perfect comfort good made with TLC. They have a full bar. I love this place!

It's like being in Key West!!!

My sister absolutely devoured the bowl, but one of the dishes I had was peanut butter-based... and I'm just not a peanut butter girl like that. That said, the flavors were bold and clearly made with love. If you're into rich, hearty, West African dishes - especially ones with peanut sauce - you'll probably really enjoy it. Just wasn't fully my thing, but I'm still glad I finally got the chance to try them!

Nkatsi Froyi & Saffron Rice: "Creamy natural peanut butter cooked slowly with onions, ginger, garlic, tomatoes, and a blend of spices, creating a rich stew" Red Red & Plantains: "A flavorful Ghanaian favorite, Red-Red is a stew of black-eyed peas simmered with onions, ginger, garlic, and tomatoes" Egusi & Saffron Rice: "Rich and hearty, this traditional West African stew combines spinach with onions, ginger, garlic, tomatoes, and spices" Emomi & Saffron Rice: "Dive into this luscious stew where okra meets a medley of onions, ginger, garlic, and tomatoes, all simmered together" Brodze: "A side of sweet & melt-in-your-mouth fried plantains! Comes with 7 pieces" Sobolo: "Hibiscus, ginger, cloves, cane sugar, African spice Cold with ice" I'm generally not a fan of plantains or okra, but both were delicious. The okra wasn't slimy and the plantains we slightly sweet, not starchy. Every dish here was distinctively different. Even better than the food is the attention to hospitality. Four of us shared this feast for about $21 each. If you are by yourself you can get a sampler plate for about $25. We will be back. Food Service Ambiance

We ordered the Large Fricassee Chicken (with chicken leg and chicken tender) and the Small Curry Chicken. The woman who was working was very kind, answered all our questions, and gave us recommendations! The large entrees came with 2 sides which were the Mac n Cheese and the Cabbage and the meat is served over rice and beans. The small entrees came with 1 side which was the Cabbage (meat also served over rice and beans). I absolutely loved both meats I tried. The Fricassee Chicken had both juicy and some slightly tougher spots but was overall very flavorful. It came with bell peppers which brought a nice bright crunch to the heavier meal. The Curry Chicken was also very flavorful and saucy. For the sides: Personally, I'm not a mac and cheese fan but this was soo good. I highly recommend getting the large; great portion size and definitely can fill you up for 2 meals easily. I loved trying a bit of everything together - the chicken, the mac and cheese, the sauce, the rice and beans... soo good. I'd recommend you come and support a locally owned business!
