Do not recommend getting any food items. I got food poisoning from this place. Maybe just get drinks. Purchased the Pulled Pork Nachos and was not able to eat more than two bites. Cheese was very oily and separated. The jalapeños were pickled. Pork was sweet and tasted like it was from a can. There was more BBQ sauce than pork. Whole pieces were far and few between. Chips were fine. Also, purchased mussels and although the wine in the sauces was good the sauce was not that good, it that. Six of us visited on a Saturday evening with reservations. We were seated immediately and our drink order was taken. They have their list of beers on a chalkboard on the wall. I ordered a dish called Chicken Tanga and it was delicious! It had rice, chicken, black beans, chipotle ranch dressing, kale, tortilla chips (and maybe a few other ingredients that I'm having trouble recalling). Everyone at the table commented on how good it looked and our server said it was his favorite thing on the menu. My husband enjoyed his burger and our friends were happy with their food as well. The wings were good, just your basic buffalo sauce. Two of the couples we were with ordered the poutine (French fries, a ton of gravy and cheese curds) - one couple devoured it and the other didn't care too much for it - so it depends on your taste, I guess. went to this restaurant October 13 around 7 o'clock. Bartender was clearly intoxicated or high along with his coworker who was sitting at the bar, talking loudly and obnoxious. I ordered a beer and my girlfriend ordered a wine, he brought her wine completely forgot my beer I reminded him and he brought me the beer. We ordered a flatbread pizza, it never came. We observed the bartender and coworker go outside and go missing for about five minutes, they came back and where playing outside, jumping up and down. clearly high or intoxicated. When I told him that he forgot my food and he originally forgot to bring my beer. He got very angry. When we came in, there was a couple complaining to him also that there was a 7% charge that shouldn't be on their bill. He apologized and did give it back to him. I would never recommend this place with all the intoxication and or drug activity going on. read more

As they use to make their own beer but it didn't turn out well and ended up serving other beers. The service was good, food was alright, nothing that great. Visited Saturday 9/13/25. Simply the worst service we've ever had at a restaurant. The server was rude, was asked repeatedly for forks and then gave us an attitude when he put them on the table, gave attitude about asking for the spicy ketchup that's on the menu (walking away from the table and saying there was ketchup on the table), never refilled water or sodas, salad served without dressing -- and at that point we knew better than to ask him for anything. My husband and I were really hungry after a long day on the road. We (reluctantly) went to this place as others were pretty filled up. We were greeted right away and shown a table. Server recommended some good, local IPA's, and we got them promptly. We ordered Nashville wings and split the Warrior burger. This place cooks their burgers perfectly (we ordered medium rare)! Wings were good and crispy. Their homemade steak sauce, which was on the burger, was also great with their very hot and crispy fries. We were surprised with the great service and good bar food! I never leave reviews, but I have to warn others - don't go for breakfast. They had only one server for the entire place. Everyone was waiting for everything. We couldn't get coffee, and the others couldn't get their Bloody Mary's . The food delivery was slow, and it was cold and greasy. Everyone left half of their food uneaten. They started turning customers away cause of the staffing issue and the wait for anyone coming in would be 30-40 minutes. There's a sign outside that specifically says that they are understaffed and the wait will be long. No joke. It took us forever to get our orders taken, drinks to be brought to us and for our food to be served. I think a good 40 mins. I think this is a repercussion from Covid and there's really no choice. Was extremely underwhelmed by this brewery to be honest. There was nothing that stood out and screamed "come here for a good time!". It reminded me more of an old family restaurant than a brewery. The beer selections were okay. A little bit of everything. We went during COVID times so I think there were usually more options available than the 7 we seen. The food options were strange actually haha. A few sandwiches and burgers as you would expect to see at a brewery but they also had "bowls" available. Thinking that was the signature dishes they were offering to set them apart from others, I ordered the jumbalaya bowl. It was alright. Tasted like the boxed Zataran's rice, which I am not complaining about because I LOVE that stuff. It just left me wanting more. The highlight of the night was that I was drinking their pumpkin ale, which was perfect for the fall day we were there, and they added a delicious pumpkin spiced sugar rim to the beer. Stopped in at this pub/bar spot in Watkins Glen area. From the outside looking in, it looks like a popular spot, seats were filled, beers were flowing. If you come to this place and try to order something more than a burger or Sandwich and you try to get fancy with it, you may leave feeling very disappointed. Know where you are ordering from, order what you know will be good and you will be fine. The only issue i had was that it took a long time to get our drinks each time. Maybe i am a pain, most likely. Why does Yelp have three listings of the same business? One is closed; stuff happens, but the other two... Anyway, don't walk. Run. Run as fast as you can. We went there twice. I should have questioned a restaurant that lists "wontons" as a dish ingredient (Yangtze) while it's a fried lo men noodle, something I have ordered that sounded good on paper but turned out to be meh, but no - I have pointed it out to the friendly waiter, saying the menu should be corrected. Three weeks later, it's still "wontons." We gave it another try - again, the menu DOES look pretty good - I have ordered Caribbean jerk haddock, and it was inedible. The rice was crunchy, as if fried in sections. The fish was burned - maybe 4oz of the promised 7oz was edible, but barely. I was famished, and tried having some of the dish, to no avail. The waiter apologized and said he'd take it off the bill, which I was OK with; the Four Cheese & Bacon flatbread my husband got satisfied my hunger. The Manager (owner?) approached our table. I assumed it was to inquire/apologize for the screwup; I was wrong. He asked, in an angry tone, "what is it that you don't like about our food?" I was... stunned. I gave him an in-depth explanation ("it's bad" wouldn't cut it), and, as I was finishing talking, he turned around and left. This is the first time a food service worker has tried to make me feel guilty about not liking stuff that was beyond saving. The meal was not comped. Unsurprisingly, there was no tip. Watkins Glen is a touristy town. There's not much going of off-season. Businesses are at mercy of locals. You'd think that, with the current state of economy, restaurant owners would be more concerned about their clients' happiness. Rooster Fish Pub is clearly an exception. Run, don't walk. This place is underrated! They provide a pretty vast local beer menu, with an excellent location just a minute's walking distance to Seneca Lake. The food menu here is definitely inspired by a talented chef, can't wait to dive into the rest of the menu! I had the special which was a Waygu burger and it was excellent. We were on a bike ride and passed through Watkins Glen so we decided to stop for an adult beverage. The first place we walked into was so crowded and the staff wasn't friendly so we walked down to Rooster Fish. So glad we did! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the bartender, Kyle. I'm giving a big shout out to Kyle as he's personable, funny, knowledgable and an overall good kid (no, he didn't pay me lol). Cost is reasonable and selection is good. They have a restaurant area as well but we didn't eat here. Will come back to check out the dining! read more

Ordered the Purple Lamborghini Martini. Truly vile and far too sweet and I have a few sweet teeth. Beer was warm. Nachos were almost on par with a ballpark (maybe) with pumped cheese and canned jalapeño. Bleu cheese burger was overdone and topped with the bleu crumbles. They were out of bleu cheese dressing . . . along with mac and cheese, cauliflower, jambalaya, mustard, and something else I can't recall. Fish tacos were fine, probably the best thing we were served. They toasted the corn tortillas so they were really crunchy. Odd choice in my opinion, but maybe they were trying to get more of a crunch since the fish was originally frozen and not particularly crispy? 50% off the entire bill in a Friday night, which I'm not complaining about, but is very strange. No way this place is making any profit. There was a 6 top, table of three, and two of us in the whole place, with 2 employees that I saw. The employees seemed nice, but they also seemed extremely busy running around and forgetting our drink orders, despite how few customers were in the building. I'm honestly surprised I found a 5-star worthy restaurant in such a small town. Everything at this place was a stand-out, so bring a friend and share some food. We started with the fried brussel sprouts that I kept popping in my mouth like they were the most delicious candy. It definitely helps that they're cooked with crispy ham! Our bartender/waiter highly recommended the fireman wings, which are marinated in a "Cornell style sauce", but are actually dry grilled wings. They're absolutely delicious, perfectly tender, and sooo meaty. The fish tacos look really underwhelming but are very yummy with an avocado ranch that balance the heat of the jalapeños and fried breading of the fish. I'm normally not a fan of coleslaw, but the red cabbage is tossed really lightly in something that I couldn't figure out and deceptively add just that much more flavor to these tacos. read more

Although our waitress was nice, the food was mediocre. It was such a nice day, and we wanted to sit outside, but unfortunately there wasn't enough seating so we opted for inside; not much AC but adequate with ceiling fans. One of my kids got the tots and fingers, and this was enjoyed; super crispy chicken fingers. We got the wings, and they were too dry, not even the blue cheese was enough to moisten it. They had the seafood chowder special, and it was a let down; brown and lumpy (too much flour dough balls), and weirdly sour. Couldn't get what seafood was in there. I ordered the cheese burger and asked for medium rare but got well done. So overall not a good food experience. The sweet potato fries were amazing though. Here's the problem. Someone spent a lot of time making a good menu but they don't execute it. Also, The place is bland so play a little background music, add some interesting decor. It felt like an old abandoned warehouse and they just painted the ceiling black. Boring, zero character. Nice beer choices but they weren't cold. I did get a nice little salad. Little bugs were bugging my legs under the table. My grilled Rachel was not great. Weird, cold turkey, hardly any coleslaw (that's what gives the sandwich its creaminess) and not on marbled rye. The burger was bland and not cooked properly. These were $16 sandwiches. The poutine was a bonus but needed a little more cheese curds and gravy. It was a bit dry for what we paid. The Wait for our food has been really long. My mom ordered a cup of tea with our initial drink order, and while we all got our drinks in less than five minutes, her hot water for tea took nearly 10 minutes to come to the table. We had to ask twice if it was coming. We ordered our apps and mains right away to save time, but we're still waiting for our appetizers. There aren't a lot of people here so I'm wondering what's happening in the kitchen. Waiter came by about 20 minutes after we ordered our food to say that the kitchen was working on our our order "now". Ambiance: nothing special. No music playing which is weird in a restaurant.
