When I walked in, I immediately noticed the space was larger than I expected, with plenty of tables scattered around and several people working on their laptops. I joined the fast-moving line and took a few minutes to check out the menu and the pastries on display. I decided on a mocha and a cranberry scone. I was immediately handed my scone but waited a few minutes for the Mocha to be prepared. The mocha gave me a nice little caffeine boost, though I wouldn't have minded some more chocolate. Overall, it's a really cool spot -- I'll definitely be back. Plus, they also sell whole beans, which is a nice bonus.

Hell Yeah Gluten Free - Outside

Hell Yeah Gluten Free

Wow, Hell Yeah Gluten Free is amazing, and a gift to the gluten-free & vegan community. We drove 45…read moreminutes to try their offerings, because we have a celiac family member who is always on the hunt for "normal-tasting" items. I can confirm, they have only gluten-free items, but are also very conscious about other allergens. We enjoyed a massive cinnamon roll, one of their vegan berry pop tarts, a vegan breakfast sandwich (warm), a fun-fetti donut, and a sugar cookie. The flavors were amazing, textures were great, and service was fantastic. If I hadn't known that the items were gluten free/vegan, I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference. Absolutely worth the drive, and we will absolutely be back!

I've only had Hell Yeah one time and from the other location in Inman Park. That was a while ago,…read morebut from what I understand, they are still really prone to selling out and it's best to order ahead online. I had planned to meet a friend who's gluten-free for breakfast on a Saturday morning at 9 am, and I thought we should probably order ahead when they open at 8. Their online ordering didn't open until maybe closer to 8:30 (it said it would open when they opened at 8), so that was a little frustrating to have to keep refreshing the page. But it did end up opening and we were able to place our orders. When we got there at 9:15, there was not a line and it seemed like they had plenty of inventory, but not sure if it was just a weird day? I had cookies and cream doughnut, and and oatmeal cream pie, and both were heavenly! My friend had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit and said that it was amazing. You order inside, and they have two tiny tables out front, but there's no other seating besides that. So it's more of a take away type place!

Yum! I rarely review dessert spots these days, but The Salty Donut wow'ed me enough to warrant a…read morereview. The husband loves sweets so he had to look up places to go for our dessert after our anniversary dinner. We came in around 9 PM on a Friday night. The place was empty but then a few folks wandered in. Though I suppose the pastries wouldn't be the freshest at this time of day, we were still impressed. We purchased the banoffee pie ($4.75) and pistachio cannoli ($4.95) donuts. Banoffee pie: With such an impressive name, the first bit did not disappoint. Though this donut looked more plain, the flavors were impressive. I guess the flavors were a mash of banana and coffee so hence the name. It was really delectable. Even the dough at this hour was still chewy and anything but stale. Pistachio cannoli: Impressive in presentation, but it's still more like a donut than a cannoli. Once you bite into it, you'll know it's more of a donut consistency than cannoli. The chocolate and pistachio coating added nice textures and flavors, but I wasn't a true fan since I was eyeing to have a true cannoli. The flavors were there, but it's just a donut dressed up as a cannoli. The Salty Donut is located in the Krog Street Market space. It's more on the street level around the perimeter than inside the market.
