My family has been going there for since I was a young child; I won't say how many decades. I may be ending a long-standing tradition of making the annual family pilgrimage to Hughes. I feel that success has gone a bit to their heads, and they are a bit "pissy." I am rating them at a three for now, since their chocolate is undeniably fantastic, and I am also considering that perhaps they are stretched thinly. We all have our breaking point. Last year I think I spent $800 there, less than the year before--specifically because they were out of stock on many of the items I wanted. I was partially to blame, because I had waited too long. But not this year. I called today to pre-pay for some chocolates so that I wouldn't make the drive for nothing, and so that I could avoid the congested basement and be on my way. I figured on buying 25-40 pounds this year, depending on what they had. To their credit, they answered the phone. But I was told that I would need to commit to 75 pounds before they would consider taking a prepaid phone order. They aren't open on Sunday, so I was told I'd need to visit in the next couple days if I wanted toffees before they sold out. "First come first serve." I kind of get it, but I kind of don't. $500-$800 isn't enough for them to bother with me--message received. Yeah, this is the second year in a row I sensed their attitude is overly confident to the point where they no longer have to be friendly. At all. About five years back, I called to inquire if they offered any type of corporate program discount for people sending their chocolates as client gifts. I send out 240+ boxes to my clients each year during the holidays. I was cut off mid sentence by the guy who took the call, and it was clear they were not interested in anything like that. So I went somewhere else. This year, I don't think I'm even going to make the trip for family gifts. So...Hello Oaks Candies, my friend. You're a bit more expensive, but your chocolate is equally as good, you're open on Sundays, and I don't get the arrogant attitude from you.

I asked the cashiers if they had ever had them and they both said yes and described the berries as the texture of a grape mixed with the flavor of a kiwi and a strawberry. I was impressed with not only their product knowledge but also their enthusiasm- one of the cashiers was so excited to tell me about this strange and unique fruit that he encouraged me to wash the berries in the sink they have near the front door so he could see my face after trying it. So I did and he was right!! It tasted just like strawberries kiwis and grapes- so refreshing to go into a grocery store where people are passionate about what they do, kind, and helpful! Also their curry chicken salad in the deli is amazing, they offer lots of local products, and they have a great selection of supplements that are natural so you don't have to worry about weird fillers that conventional grocery stores often have on their shelves. I say stop in and support this small business because every time I visit the co-op, I leave with a smile on my face from chatting with the lovely staff and take home delicious healthy food!

It is so nice to go to one store instead of going to 3 -4 different places. From the healing clay mask I use on my face and hair, to the raw dairy I need for my kids, delicious local sourdough bread, raw local honey, natural supplements and to top it all off the best produce I've found in Oshkosh. I was so grateful that I could buy organic berries that were almost half the price of Festival and looked and tasted amazing. I've been there 3 times in 4 days and I'll be a regular from now on. Great job to the team over there!

So they already get points for that its its not a super common product. That being said, I wish I didn't wait so long to check this place out. It is a fantastic store. I came on my lunch break thinking I would be in and out really quick and ended up spending about 35 minutes in the store looking at all their products. They have a huge selection of heath foods and specialty foods for different kinds of diets. They have lots of gluten free products. Lots of products for those following a Paleo diet. They have some products that are Keto but it doesn't look like they carry any strictly marketed Keto products but lots of the sweetener replacements that are allowed on keto they have. They have lots of fresh fruits and grass fed meats. Lots of non meat and non dairy products if you are vegan. A wide variety of supplements and homeopathic medicines if that's something you are into. Besides everything being laid out beautifully in the store, the staff is some of the best staff I have ever come across. I was one of two customers in the store. There were 3-5 staff that I saw and every one of them I interacted with made sure to greet me and made sure that I was finding everything OK and to let them know if I needed anything. If you are needing a good heath food store, you should definitely make it Nutrition Discount Center. You will not be disappointed.

Why is this still stirring and behind the bar!? So gross. I ordered a bottle of beer, drank it and left. This is not a place to go to for yummy specialty drinks. I would be cautious about anything on tap, soda or beer and stick to bottles. This is a place where being inebriated is normal. Over serving people can't stand up puts them into "that" category. I would but return unless it's the only place open in town with bottles of beer. Update- Came back and asked for a sample of the pina colada. I was really hoping for a different experience. It was worse this time.
