I ordered and paid for a pair of glasses on July eighth. On July 15th I attempted to call the store…read moreto see if my glasses had come in. There was no answer. I tried several more times to reach the store by phone and there was never an answer. Towards the end of the day I contacted another LensCrafters and explained that I couldn't reach anyone at the Boulder location. A very nice person there said they would reach out to the Boulder store and have them get in touch with me. I never heard anything back. On July 16th I attempted to contact the store and had the same results. No answer. I asked others to call the store and see if they could get any answers with the same result. On July 17th I received a text message saying my glasses were in. We arrived at the location and Christian began to help us. I told him I was concerned that their phones may not be working. He said they were fine. I explained that we had tried to contact the store and he explained that they were short staffed. I asked where one of their regular employees was and he said they were not with them any more. He explained it was LensCrafters choice to part ways with him. I was surprised that he shared that employees employment decision with me. I expressed my concern that customers could not reach the store by phone and suggested that they could call customers back when it was slower. He quickly dismissed that and said we don't have time. I asked if I could speak to the Regional Manager (Jessica) and he said that I would not be able to. I asked if he could give her my contact information so she could call me and he said he would not do that. I explained that his corporate owners (Essilor Luxottica) would not be pleased with his handling of customer concerns. He said he doesn't work for them. I then asked for and received a refund. He threw the glasses case into the trash. This was among the worst examples of customer service that I have ever witnessed or experienced. We went to Warby Parker, purchased two pairs of glasses and had fantastic customer service. The difference between the two businesses was night and day. I hope that this is isolated at LensCrafters and that Christian was perhaps just simply having a bad week. If you want a pleasant, friendly and fun experience go to Warby Parker. It's a short walk from this LensCrafters. If you want a frustratingly rude experience LensCrafters Boulder will give you that.

I felt at home, it was warm, kind, and respectful. They are my number 1 choice for eye care as long as I live in this area. Turn Around: My glasses arrived 5-7 days sooner than expected. ---- The long version ---- I posted my old glasses and new glasses. While I was getting by with my old pair, I could tell my eyes had changed and I needed an updated prescription. Not to mention I had to keep adjusting my head to see the screen every time I looked down because my lenses were too small for constant laptop use. Two years prior I had an exam at a location that didn't take my insurance for glasses and ended up at Pearle Vision to get my glasses. The service was pretty good, and the outcome was great. ---Note--- During my most recent visit, I was having a bad day, I had received some upsetting news that totally threw me. I was feeling a bit vulnerable and anxious but I had to push through to start my new glasses process ASAP. Despite my emotional state, I was treated with warmth, kindness, and respect( more on that later) During my most recent visit in mid to late October of 2019, I was told there had been a change in ownership. The results, state of the art technology that tested my eye pressure (my family has had Glaucoma) and took a picture of my eye without requiring dilation eye drops (HUGE plus). The eye exam was very personable / super friendly, easy, and relatively fast. Since I was a previous customer I'm sure it helped. What I loved: I wasn't upsold or pushed around. I was told all the options and how they would fit my needs (Blue Blockers for the computer work, Polarize, strong, and smudge resistant (aka super easy to clean with a soft cloth). Turn around time: I was told 7-10 business days for my glasses. I got a call that they arrived 3-4 days after my visit. WHOA? New vendor? It took me a while to get used to the new prescription as my eyes had adjusted to my old style, but since they did, my vision experience has been a dream. The frame choices were better than my old glasses and cheaper! I get a lot of compliments from my coworkers with the new look. They feel good and lenses are so clear I sometimes can't believe I'm wearing glasses. I would love to have remembered to take a picture of the place but I forgot. Kind of wild for a "luxury" pair of glasses. Uhh GET REAL with that logic...I'm POSITIVE that Roark doesn't manufacture ANY of their products...this was just another way to avoid taking liability/accountability for the sh** products they sell because factually they sell CRAP.
