The job was completed in about 4 hours like quoted, and the price felt fair for the amount of work done. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is there are a couple small imperfections along the edges (looks like minor tooling marks). Nothing major, but noticeable up close. Overall still solid work and definitely worth it if you need upholstery repairs done.

I purchased a new Ford F-150 several years ago. I wanted leather upholstery but the upgrade included a bunch of other expensive options that I didn't want. The dealership suggested that I purchase a Roadwire leather kit and have L & S install it. I did just that and the results were impeccable. Recently, the Mrs and I took our 23-year-old Toyota 4-Runner to them. L & S replaced the carpeting and headliner since the originals had been damaged by water intrusion caused by a leaking sunroof. They completely stripped the interior and disinfected it prior to installing the new carpet and headliner. Our " baby" (which we purchased new in 1999) is gorgeous. Don't trust your vehicle (auto, truck, boat, or aircraft) to amateurs. L & S is the ONLY place to take it. Not only is the quality of their work superb, but they're the nicest guys that you'll ever want to meet.

I used to send all of my sublet work here when I worked for Mercedes-Benz. I sent them work with total confidence that the work would exceed my customers (high)expectations. My 14 year old boat looks brand new thanks to L&S and Mitch's Fiberglass. The seats I had replaced were less expensive than if I had got them from the original supplier AND the quality of materials was much better at L&S. The material was of way better quality than the original equipment at a better value. They now have a separate business inside the show room. Gary Simpson, local bass fishing pro, has a high quality rod, reel, and lure business inside. They're also offering high quality rod and reel repairs by local fishing icon Don House. Everything about both L&S Auto Trim & Gary's Tackle Box is of the highest quality, but don't let that scare you, because it's also a great value.

This was the first time I had ever run into the need for getting something upholstered…read more My aging motorcycle seat was seventeen years old and had 50k miles of use, and it was starting to tear in a couple of places just from age. I had considered just buying a new seat, but figured I should at least investigate the cost of just getting it recovered. I did some research and found Broadway Upholstery here in Gainesville. I have driven past the place countless times as it is on one of my routes between home and work, but never realized it was even there. I will chalk that up to it just being a place that I have never needed before, so it doesn't fit into my visibility. So I went in and talked to the guys there, showed them the seat, and they said it would not be a problem and gave me a quote that I found to be quite reasonable. Brought the seat in the next day, and they had it recovered in a couple of hours. I also looked at some of the other work that they were doing in the workshop, and their craftsmanship was excellent. It looks as good as new! The vinyl covering is thicker than it was originally, which means it should last at least as long as the original did. A great job, and I definitely recommend these guys for your recovering needs.

15-Year Loyal Customer Extorted & Ghosted…read more After 15+ years of buying multiple cars and exclusively servicing them at O'Steen Volkswagen, I am completely done. This place has devolved into an incompetent, overpriced nightmare with zero work ethic. If you value your time, your wallet, or your safety, stay far away. Here is how they completely screwed me over a two-week period ROUND #1: Paid $250 for a repair thy could not show me what they have actually done. Just saying we had to replace a cable. THE ISSUE: Took my VW in for a basic electrical problem with the car light. THE "SERVICE": They left my car sitting in the lot for nearly a week. They completely ignored every single phone call and email update request. THE RESULT: I got a broken, un-openable text via a text message saying it was done. Because I trusted them after 15 years, I picked it up without checking. BIG MISTAKE. The next early in the morning on my way to work, the light failed again. It came how it did; I was pulled over by the police! I only avoided a ticket because I showed the officer the $250 receipt I had just paid O'Steen for "fixing" it. ROUND 2: Held My Car Hostage for $998 THE "SERVICE": I brought it back furious. Once again, they ghosted me for another full week. I literally sent a letter to the CEO and phoned the shop repeatedly because I need my car to go to work. ZERO RESPONSE. THE PRICE GOUGING: They sent another broken automated text. This time, they hit me with a $998 bill for a part replacement that was in my opinion perfectly fine and likely just needed to be cleaned. Unprofessional & Greedy There was a time when O'Steen had a phenomenal service manager (Mr. D.S.) who gave top-tier service with no BS. Those days are dead. They now charge exorbitantly high prices for zero pride in their work. And funny enough, during my wait, another gentlemen came with a complaint about the terrible service and price he had to pay and complained about the unwillingness to help. He showed to me that he wrote a complaint on google reviews that hit 1.9 million views. To O'Steen Management: We were scheduled to buy our next brand-new car in the coming months because the "old but working car" came in the years. Because of this pathetic excuse for service, we will NEVER buy a vehicle from you again. You threw away 15 years of loyalty for a sloppy $1,250 cash grab. But it is not something that is new nowadays. America, once in the top league in customers service in the World, became a customer service unfriendly society over the years.

There were some nice fabrics and I found one that would work for my project. However Debbie never got off the phone. After about 5 minutes I left. This is long, but worth the read to hopefully avoid this happening to you…read more I have had the absolute worst experience here and unfortunately, it's still ongoing! First off, they said I would need to come into the shop for the replacement because they need to calibrate it and they can only do it in the shop. Well I drop it off first thing in the morning and they end up not even finishing it, even though it was there all day until almost an hour after they closed. They say they will have to have a mobile tech come out and calibrate the windshield. Fine. The mobile tech comes out and he ends up not calibrating it, but REPLACING THE WINDSHIELD! Yes, the brand new windshield that did not need replacing. Says he can't calibrate it, we need to come into the shop. Fine. This morning, I'm driving my car and water starts pouring out from the headliner onto the screen and dashboard of my car. Obviously they installed the windshield incorrectly. It's not even raining!! It is nearly impossible to get in contact with anyone from the shop and when we finally did they 100% did not care and told us the earliest we could come in to fix it is Saturday. It is currently Tuesday. So now, I have water leaking out of the fabric liner and onto the electronics in my car. My car smells like mildew, and we are expecting rain every day until this weekend. The manager was supposed to contact us and still hasn't. I regret coming here so badly and I would never ever recommend this location to any of my friends.
