This place is beautiful & always has such a nice variety. My fault that they were out of a lot of things like herbs because I went so late in the season but also everything was 20% off! I saved $54 on my purchase & will continue to return here year after year.

Snake plant!

I've been to several Oakland Nurseries in the Cbus area and this is one of my favorites. Its a ways away from home, but I was on a solo plant trip and decided to stop here. When I first walked in the greenhouse, I immediately saw a very full, snake plant that had to be at least 3 feet tall. The price for it was (WAY) out of my range but had to take a picture to at least enjoy it that way. Ha! As I walked around the greenhouse, I saw alot of plants. Inside they have a cute shop where you can find a variety of gifts and home decor. I found myself a smaller snake plant that was marked down and I had to have it! I didnt see anything else I wanted, but had to get a new watering can too. I will be back!

I came here with my mom on Mother's Day. This place is BEAUTIFUL! They have great prices on plants and they seem to be well watered! There are a lot of different options and everything you could possibly need for a successful garden. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the staff is not friendly at all.

SEVEN WORDS: EXPANSIVE GREENHOUSE AND NURSERY / GREEN THUMB PARADISE The variety and selection outders the already fantastic home base on Oakland Park Avenue - a nd that may be due to a more expansive piece of real estate. To make my point, I'll take the redbud tree. The casual gardener would be happy with the standard "Eastern Redbud", which this store has fully stocked. Additionally, there are no less than a half-dozen more. Varieties. All of these were in great shape, too. The garden staff carefully prunes and preens all of their plants. Additionallt, there is a huge selection of accessories. Truly, I couldn't expect anything more from my greenhouse.

Rhododendrons that never had a chance.

He came over by appointment, looked at the space, offered some suggestions and we discussed our expectations. The result was a beautiful front yard that we enjoy every single day. The compliments keep coming! Since then, we've asked him to design for the side of the house and the entrance to our back deck, as well. Dave is very easy to work with and full of information he is only too happy to share. We have not had any issues with unhealthy bushes or trees. They're all thriving. On one occasion, he switched out a shrub that was not to our taste and we're totally satisfied with the final result. He is respectful of budgets and can offer several design options within a specific budget. We're also asked him to do some mulching, pruning and fertilizing. One of his best attributes is LISTENING. Dave is creative, warm, funny and hard-working and it's a joy to recommend him for your next landscaping project!

Timbuk Farms - $1 per stem, we found some beauties

The tulip "festival" was really pretty but I wouldn't use the word festival to describe it. It's a good sized portion of the field, set up with quite a few photo Ops. There's also a section of activities for kids - not entirely sure it's worth the $7 entry fee but it was pretty. The greenhouse had a really nice selection of succulents, herbs, indoor/outdoor plants and decor. I would definitely go back, but not sure I'd pay the fee for the tulip festival again.

Think of it as Ohio's most photogenic meeting of the minds: aspiring influencers, local families, plant-loving aunties, and at least one goat that clearly thinks it's in charge. The farm setup is charmingly chaotic in the best way: hay towers, bouncy castles, cardboard cut-outs, and a lineup of goats ready to be hand-fed at 50 cents a handful. Rows upon rows of tulips in full bloom awaited us, $1 a stem. It's part aesthetic, part strategy--because yes, the seasoned grannies will coach you on the art of pulling bulbs with stems intact. (Pro tip: look for those slightly opened blooms if you want better replanting success.) We caught the tail end of the season, so while I wasn't dressed like a walking Pinterest board, I got the full experience. Dirt under my nails, sun on my face, and a haul of 18 vibrant tulips for $19.31. The wait to check out was a little steamy--sun beating down, line inching slowly--but it gave me a chance to eavesdrop on gardening tips and admire a dog wearing flower crowns. There are also food trucks and coffee carts if you need a break, and plenty of plants and bulbs for sale if you're looking to extend your floral moment beyond the bouquet. Just a heads-up: parking is gravel-based, bumper-to-bumper, and you'll probably end up next to a pickup truck with a decal that reads "I only stop for tulips." Welcome to the Midwest. Would I go back? Absolutely--only next time I'm dressing for the photo ops and the heat.

There are numerous "ranch hands" (green shirts) walking around assisting customers. They are very knowledgeable. Trisha said it's her 5th year working there and we could tell she was happy and enjoyed talking to people. Another ranch hand, Austin, readily went to get Pat a cart for her purchases. They really thought of everything. They sell coffee, snacks, cold drinks, and there was even a dog treat vendor since it is a dog-friendly place. They sell any kind of plant accessory, and brand tees. I noticed there was incense burning in the house plant building. The areas are identified by the giant statues, for instance, we were in the Unicorn space where we were looking at shade perennials. There is a separate building where you can check out, with multiple cashiers so the wait wasn't long. There was also live music from a 3 person band playing instruments and singing. It was only a 30 minute drive from Columbus and worth a visit. It is worth many visits if you want to purchase lots of plants.

This is a place you go to take pictures and maybe buy a few gifts. If you just want to buy plants,…read moreyou can get them for about 1/4 the price elsewhere (even from other local farms, not even talking about the big boxes). You're paying for the experience here. To be sure, there are absolutely adorable planters, gift items, etc., and there are occasional specials (particularly if you sign up for emails) that bring the prices down to a less eye-popping range - but go in with the expectation of a fun outing where you bring home souvenirs and you'll leave happy. We visited on a Friday afternoon before what was probably going to be a very busy weekend, so the staff that was working was probably not the A-team. But the disorganization and lack of basic information was frustrating - particularly for a place that's clearly all about the experience, it would be a good idea to bring in folks with more knowledge of plants and train them accordingly. Even more than the prices, the staff we interacted with were the main reason we're unlikely to rush back.
