I love GPR so much! They have the friendliest staff, amazing plant selection, and all the right vibes. We went for their Mother's Day events this year and it was the perfect outing. Healthy, gorgeous plants everywhere (and some rarer colors and varieties - definitely have something for everyone!) The checkout lines were long, as expected, but everyone was so friendly that no one seemed to mind at all. Sunny weather always helps! One of the guys who works there was super kind and helped us push our big cart out to the car and we really appreciated that extra kindness. You ek t find better plants and flowers anywhere! I'm so glad I finally made the trip and came here for fall plants! They have a huge selection and a lot of things to look at for ideas and inspiration. Prices seemed reasonable. They are decorated for fall right now, but have a large area for fairy garden accessories, indoor plants and decorations, gem mining and other activities. LOVE this place, and will most certainly be back again! Was on a hunt for a watermelon pepperomia. They definitely had it, and more! Huge and wide variety of selection with many plants and pots. Loved seeing that it's dog friendly and the property has 2-3 Australian shepherd dogs of their own. So cute!! They're super friendly there, and were very helpful. I've visited Groovy Plants Ranch twice now and both times have been fun and great experiences. While most of my time is spent wandering all the different plants looking at the many many options before finally picking out a few to take home, any interactions with the staff has been positive. The fun little photo or prop areas are cute. The sheer number of plants and varieties that GPR has available for sale is crazy to me! I lean more towards succulents and cacti than other plant kinds and GPR is known for both. At this point I have multiple plants from them and they're all doing great. I think their pricing is very fair! My most recent trip I used the Potter's Saloon for the first time - picked out a pot and used the provided potting soil for my "Fizzle Sizzle" plant. I also had my dog with me, who enjoyed exploring and carefully sniffing around the property. read more

Recently visited here and walked the entire property (even buildings!) with my pup. staff was friendly and everything was well organized. There seemed to be one of everything available to choose from, including outdoor and indoor plants of all varieties. Very cool place to visit! We even did the rock mining experience filtering through the water. I imagine this aspect is seasonal. read more

Great selection is an understatement there are so many choices with a variety of prices. They didn't seem to be very many employees walking around offering assistance. Their property is enormous, and there are so many plants. They also had an area where you can mine for gemstones. That was a self-serve area so if you bring little kids just be aware. It wasn't exactly accommodating for a wheelchair, there were a lot of areas that had gravel that are extremely difficult if you're using a wheelchair. prepared to go on a road trip in the middle of nowhere just a note. There's no food or restaurants or anything near that area. However they did have a coffee truck there. There was plenty of parking across the street. I would definitely go again if you go prepared to spend at least an hour or two there. read more

Cute place but I will never come back when there is snow on the ground. I came to meet some friends for a yoga class which was fine but pretty cold and nothing particularly groovy about it. Having said that I came more to meet my friends and check the place out because I have heard wonderful things about Groovy plants over the years. Also $15 plus tax for a yoga class is reasonable. The teacher was also friendly and came out to find me when she saw me lost and wandering around. My issue is the parking lot was full of ice and snow. My car was driving completely fine when I left my house and as soon as I pulled in I knew it was going to be a problem but I didn't know where else to go with my car because it was stuck almost immediately. I was able to rearrange my car into a spot eventually but i could tell it was putting some tear on it and the engine light came on later when I was trying to leave. The staff was nice enough to get some people to help and pushed my car out, although one complained because it was too slippery (shocker)but they acted like my car just happened to break down on its own which is annoying because it drove perfectly fine for 40 minutes to get me there and it's not new but it's a 2017 with no current issues. It now drives forward without the ability to drive backwards and I had to get it towed to a repair shop because AutoZone was not able to check the transmission fluid. They aren't even able to look at it until Friday and because it's unclear if the damage is internal or external, I am carless as it may or may not be covered by insurance. Regardless if it was damaged by me putting too much stress on my car internally by being too aggressive trying to get out of the spot or by running over the ice this would not have happened if the parking lot would have been cleared and I would have not been stuck in the snow. Also, people are carrying big trays of plants across the parking lot and someone could easily fall or hurt themselves. The place itself is gorgeous with tons of amazing options and friendly staff. However I would not go there during winter if there is snow on the ground if you don't have four wheel drive or are steady on your feet. read more

It looks deceivingly small from the front, but there is so much to see. Just rows and rows of plant varieties. Loved the Bob Seger tunes playing throughout. Being the avid plant lover that I am, I've had Groovy Plants Ranch on my bucket list of businesses to visit for quite some time now. While it took me a little longer than I would have liked to visit, it was well worth the wait and I cannot wait to go back for more. For starters, this place is out there! As in, off on a small back road in a neighborhood setting. My friends and I pulled in to find the place absolutely packed. They have a small parking lot near the entrance, and then across the street in someone's yard (I imagine it's the owners), is another lot with room for more cars. We lucked out and got one in the main lot. After parking we grabbed a little cart and started shopping. I'll add that everyone was in masks, they were limiting occupancy in the greenhouses, and everyone was trying as best to stay six feet apart as possible (although it was hard at times). I was blown away by the variety of both indoor and outdoor plants. Three greenhouses were available to browse through and a few others held small baby plants still growing. Two were packed with tropical plants and one with tons of succulents. Snapdragons were blooming everywhere outside and it took everything in me to wait a little while longer to stock up on supplies for my flower beds. I absolutely loved the pot-your-plant section (I heard it was new). They had a good amount of classic and easy on your wallet pots as well as fun, unique ones. I would never have forgiven myself if I didn't get the hanging rainbow pot. I also got a few succulents for it but decided to plant at home. Overall, these folks are going it right. This is more than just a plant shop. The ranch has an excellent variety of succulents, hardy outdoor plants, and house plants galore! Road-trip worthy! First off - yes, prices are slightly higher than other nurseries but this is an experience! The exterior seasonal decor and lighting sets the tone of your shopping adventure. You pay for what you get and you'll definitely get your money's worth. I visited in December which is somewhat off season but I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of inventory. The variety and quality of plants is superior. Not just plants but all the accessories that go along with them are available. Whatever you need - soil, pots, ornaments, and whatever else I'm forgetting to mention is here. Just like the name says, the buildings, decor, grounds and plant accessories are truly "groovy". The items are colorful, creative and unique. Another plus is staff, the person helping me was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and offered great advice. I strongly recommend following their social media accounts. Groovy has awesome events, classes, sales and great information they share on a daily basis on Instagram. It has taken me way to long to visit this place! I've been following them on Instagram for a while. GPR is a green oasis off of SR15 in Morrow County. They have regular and rare indoor and outdoor plants in a variety of sizes. The plants are incredibly well cared for and vibrantly green. The labels have detailed care instructions, which I really liked. I picked up perennials and a few houseplants, but didn't venture into the cactus house. I'll save that for another trip. Short direct ride just past the outlet mall off of 71 north of Columbus. Recommended from my girl who does my monthly pedis and swore it was amazing. She was right! There will be a police officer helping with traffic. It's that busy on a Saturday afternoon! Tons of inventory. Jam packed lots to choose from and I know we didn't hit everything. Check out was seamless. Staff was great. VIP reward card available. You get a punch after spending in $25 increments. There's a soil station. You can pack your own soil. Up to 8 lbs free anything after is $5. GREAT business operation. Just delightful. I'm gonna go back. During the day during the work week and/or first thing Saturday morning as they open at 8.
