I love GPR so much! They have the friendliest staff, amazing plant selection, and all the right vibes. We went for their Mother's Day events this year and it was the perfect outing. Healthy, gorgeous plants everywhere (and some rarer colors and varieties - definitely have something for everyone!) The checkout lines were long, as expected, but everyone was so friendly that no one seemed to mind at all. Sunny weather always helps! One of the guys who works there was super kind and helped us push our big cart out to the car and we really appreciated that extra kindness. You ek t find better plants and flowers anywhere! Prices are a tiny bit higher than a big box store, but worth every bit. I love shopping and supporting local!!

Huge place. So much variety of plants I've never seen at other nurseries. They are more expensive than other places. The staff was super helpful. My mom in a wheelchair was able to get around most of the place.

Groovy Plants Ranch is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates indoor plants or gardening of any kind. There is an amazing assortment of both indoor and outdoor plants at this nursery. There are also a ton of fantastic gift suggestions.

Incredible nursery but it's so much more! Even in the late fall there are greenhouses full of flowers, gorgeous garden decor and incredible ambiance. Everyone was so friendly and we just loved the set up! If I lived local I would buy up so many plants!

This nursery has an incredible selection of indoor and outdoor plants at really reasonable prices. They also have fun displays with aliens and little plant monsters that make for a fun family stroll.

Crazy busy at 11am on a Thursday, the secrets out! Went to pick up some pre orders, ended up with 4 other things. Run so well for how busy they are! Love this place and the amazing service! Best selection of plants in the area, most homegrown

Words cannot describe the Groovy Plant Ranch, it must be experienced. Will leave you planning a bigger house to accommodate the plants you want to take home.

We have been using Groovy Plants since they opened. They have a wide selection of plants for anyone & the staff is very friendly and helpfull. My wife and I we highly recommend them. Plus their unusual decoration (see photo) is entertaining.

LOVE this place, and will most certainly be back again! Was on a hunt for a watermelon pepperomia. They definitely had it, and more! Huge and wide variety of selection with many plants and pots. Loved seeing that it's dog friendly and the property has 2-3 Australian shepherd dogs of their own. So cute!! They're super friendly there, and were very helpful. I feel like as far as value, they are well priced! Not inexpensive, but also outrageous! Well worth it and just beautiful place. So glad it's only a 30 minute drive for us.

This place is AWESOME!! I was recommended this place by another nursery owner, and the selection was HUGE. All the plants looked healthy, and it was super busy, good for them!!! Workers were super nice and they had a flea market event going on today as well. Hope they do this more often.

I've visited Groovy Plants Ranch twice now and both times have been fun and great experiences. While most of my time is spent wandering all the different plants looking at the many many options before finally picking out a few to take home, any interactions with the staff has been positive. The fun little photo or prop areas are cute. The sheer number of plants and varieties that GPR has available for sale is crazy to me! I lean more towards succulents and cacti than other plant kinds and GPR is known for both. At this point I have multiple plants from them and they're all doing great. I think their pricing is very fair! My most recent trip I used the Potter's Saloon for the first time - picked out a pot and used the provided potting soil for my "Fizzle Sizzle" plant. I also had my dog with me, who enjoyed exploring and carefully sniffing around the property.

Recently visited here and walked the entire property (even buildings!) with my pup. staff was friendly and everything was well organized. There seemed to be one of everything available to choose from, including outdoor and indoor plants of all varieties. Very cool place to visit! We even did the rock mining experience filtering through the water. I imagine this aspect is seasonal.

Yesterday I planned to just go to another greenhouse close to Columbus. I made it there plus another greenhouse which was just 15 minutes away from here. I thought to myself, well how far is Baker's from here? 12 minutes?!? Okay, lets go! (I was by myself so it was a much needed solo car trip!) As I pulled into Bakers, I noticed there were very few cars in the parking lot, which I was ok with. I dont care much for crowds but on the other hand, I dont want to be the only one there either. I walked into the greenhouse and came across the beautiful pots that quickly got my attention. Then I saw house plants!! whoo hoo!! I was on a mission to find a plant or two that I would like to have that I dont have already. Then I found the one. A Twisted Sister Snake plant. Its been on my wishlist too! I quickly chose one that I thought that looked the most healthiest. I was drawn to many of the other types of flowers and plants there too. I ended up buying one of those and a Brazil pothos. Love!! Their plant selection there was out of this world and I would recommend anyone to come here! I will definitely be back!!

Outdoor plants and herb sections don't disappoint either - my most recent visit I got cone flowers for one of my flower beds and some potting soil. Not all potting soil is created equal and the Happy Frog brand they carry is great.

This is how many of the autumn blooms Amherst has every fall. Add the uncountable loads of other flower and plants in spring and it's a Mecca for garden buffs. Calling a place a Mecca is cliche, old hat, probably overused on Yelp. But the metaphor absolutely fits this greenhouse. First they have five full acres under roof. Secondly, it will take a pilgrimage to get there, for it's way out in the rural plains south of Lima. Just go to the middle of nowhere, take a left to bum F Egypt, head towards the boondocks of the sticks, and you'll be halfway there. It is off the narrow Allen county road of Amherst in-between State route 196 and 117. In fact the biggest neg is the traffic jam on the undeveloped street that occurs in the spring when the highly popular greenhouse attracts gardeners from all over the state. Turning in its gravel lane showcases a lovely maintained house beside a sparkling pond and manicured flower patches. Towering above are the greenhouses that seems to go on endlessly. Here a abundant choices grow under what could be miles of sprinklers, and miles of piping with plotted plants hanging down. The selection is a eye-popping plane of annuals, perennials, and veggies. Shrubs, bushes, trees, and a few rustic wooden garden decor round out their Jupiter size enclosures. They are open seasonally: April until late spring/ summer. Then they open up again in the fall selling the previously mentioned mums with pumpkins, squashes, and gourds. Daily hours are limited: 9-5 Monday through Friday; 9-12 Saturday. A family biz, Amherst has an interesting origin story. In 2002, the family started a 10 X 20 greenhouse to grow flowers themselves. They ended up growing too many so they put a sign up by the driveway. Soon all the extra flowers were gone. In response to the demand they put up a larger greenhouse and sold 700 Chrysanthemums that fall. From then the business grew exponentially. It is an experience if you dig plants and are in the area.
