Staff seemed friendly and helpful. Rooms were very nice, clean, bright and set up spaciously. Liked the HVAC controls, as you only needed to set the temperature that you wanted and it would chuckle to get the room to that temperature. If there was one negative it would be that they don't have a continental breakfast. They have a menu at the bar area but it does cost you to dine in the morning. Oh, also we like to grab coffee in the evening but their complimentary coffee was only in the morning hours. Had two rooms - a double queen bed room that was nice and a King Suite that was super spacious. Liked that the Suite had two bathrooms and a true separate bedroom area. They have a pool area which I didn't get a chance to use but maybe next time.

The hotel was pretty quiet and the gym was okay, dumbbells and a few treadmills. There was a TRX set up. The hotel did provide coffee from 6:00-10:00, and had snacks and drinks for sale. There was an onsite restaurant serving breakfast (not included) and dinner. There is a small Walmart next door, and a Stop and Shop just beyond that. I would skip the Walmart. Minor point- The Government rate was taxed, so you have to fill out a tax exemption forms. Also, the mini fridge does not have a freezer, but the room does have a microwave.

There were a couple options each morning, and you told the employee what you would like and they would give it to you in a to-go container. You could eat the food at either the tables, or back at your room. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I deducted a star because the male employee who works nights and overnights is not helpful and didn't seem to know anything that all other hotel employees know and should know to provide a better experience for their guests. He didn't even know what kind of breakfast was served. When I went to the lobby to make a phone call, he was watching something on his phone, and then a couple times came over to the area where I was sitting and watched the baseball game that was on the television. He shouldn't be getting employee of the month anytime soon. The morning employees were very friendly and helpful.

From the outside it seems acceptable, but inside the property felt extremely old, poorly maintained, and neglected. There were damaged walls, ceilings in bad condition, carpet coming loose in several areas creating a tripping hazard, and a strong unpleasant smell in the pool area that was very difficult to tolerate. The breakfast was also very poor. I also did not feel the situation involving my service dog was handled professionally or with much understanding, which was especially disappointing. The overall atmosphere of the hotel honestly felt uncomfortable and poorly maintained. I normally do not like leaving negative reviews, but I believe future guests deserve an honest description of the experience before booking.

The room was clean but the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. I couldn't get any sleep. I mean zero hours. The breakfast was excellent, however. This hotel needs to throw the mattresses away and buy new ones. My main pet peeve with my stay was the Tesla Cybertruck parked in the main entrance. When I asked the front desk staff, they confirmed it was the actual OWNER'S personal vehicle. This is very inconsiderate and rude to your paying guests. My friends and I traveled all the way from Long Island, we took the ferry. If the owner reads this, you *knew better* than to park your cyber truck in the main entrance. It was in the way, my friends and I had a hard time maneuvering around that monstrosity of a car. We had heavy and bulky luggage and almost couldn't walk past it. Good customer service from your front desk staff, however with the mattress and franchise owner's cyber truck issue, my friends and I will NOT be returning and we will spend our hard-earned money elsewhere.

The rooms were spacious and clean, with attractive furnishings of tables, dresser, chairs and bed. We did not try the pool-like bathtub (next to shutters that open to the main room and TV!) but the shower was magnificent! Towels and ROBES were fluffy and floral-smelling. Toilet flush was awesome, lol. Height of counter was thoughtfully higher-than usual and it had room for personal effects. The bed was not super-comfortable but acceptable. It was soft over hard, and my sister felt pressure points. The chairs sunk in the middle, but we weren't in them long. The gas fireplace was lovely!! And both windows open for fresh air, which I find very important. The place was very quiet and we only encountered other guests a few minutes here and there. The grounds are Gorgeous with grasses, roses, huge lavender plants. We loved sitting in the metal patio furniture with umbrellas, by the marina, eating our custom breakfasts! So relaxing and decadent. Kat, our breakfast waitress, was A+ and very pleasant. We all liked the food too. We did walk to local restaurants from here, plus easily visited Mystic by car. We did walk the nearby 1mi bayside trail to the Hole-in-the-Wall beach. It was a bit too far unless you can enjoy ~3mi roundtrip from Inn to beach. Our favorite restaurants were 374 Kitchen & Cocktail, followed by Constantine's (deck). We did not care for Flanders which was crowded and noisy, plus several additional unpleasant features! Now for the gritty: For unknown reason, the Inn has very cheap toiletpaper! And there is no place to lay clothes in the bathroom except in a drawer. There is no fridge in the room - just an icebucket with a fridge and ice in the community areas. They provide 2 bottles of water at the start of your stay...but you can get another at breakfast. Coffee is in carafes in the morning, but otherwise from Keurigs in the community room. You may freely wear the robes - just place them with your dirty towels at end of stay. To get clean towels, place your used ones outside your door! Fresh ones will magically appear in a plastic bag outside the door. They were not offering the pontoon rides when we were there in early June. I was disappointed and felt they should post the limitations. They do have cookies plus wine/cheese/grapes at certain times. These items are in the main Inn, where there are two tiny closets with staff in them. We were pretty comfortable going in and out the business area. Kat was the most welcoming, smiling when we cut through the kitchen each morning. We splurged to stay here for 70th BD celebrations. All four of us loved the Inn and had fun days in Niantic and Mystic.
