So I don't see how they can advertise as using "free and clear" detergent. Doesn't that mean scent-free? Family medical issues have resulted in home chores, one of which was laundry, taking a back seat. So I was very happy to find a service that would take care of this task for me. I went with Wash Wizards based on the stellar reviews, the convenience of no-contact pick-up and drop-off, the free and clear detergent (aka scent-free), and the free cloth laundry bag that was supposed to come with the delivery of my first order that would then allow me to fill the bag with the items I wanted to have washed. I placed my order (bedding and bath rugs) on Friday for a Saturday pick-up. And since this was my first order, I placed my laundry in trash bags outside my front door. I just put everything in the bags. The order was picked up before noon and delivered today (Monday) before noon as well. Now, according to the website "Everything comes back to you folded and packaged in a cloth laundry bag that is provided free of charge." However, mine did not. Instead, everything came packaged in one large clear plastic bag that was knotted so tight that I had to use scissors to get the laundry out. In terms of quality of services, they did a great job folding the sheets, but there was a definite scent on the laundry. Also, I can only suppose that they washed everything (rather than separating by colors) in hot water because my pale pink sheets and floral sheets looked duller, and my slate blue sheets had clearly faded. Again, having not used a laundry service before, if I needed to separate the washing into separate bags, that would have been helpful to have included in the FAQ. And I guess I have been so used to washing in cold water that I didn't think of adding that to my order - so I'll take the blame for that - but perhaps updating the website order page to include that as an option to select, because when you are busy with other things that you need a laundry service, adding notes to your laundry is the last thing on your mind. Finally, the lack of a laundry bag bugged me, especially since the website specifically promised one as coming with the first order.

I needed a place to wash their clothing before I took them home to my place... My ex wife had passed a few weeks ago and my 13 and 14 year old were really out of it. I didn't want to be at a coin laundry doing the laundry. However, doing it at my old home just didn't feel so good... There was a man there who seemed very empathetic and noticed the expression's on my children's faces, he then told them he too lost someone he loved. I always have advised my children not to speak to strangers but I didn't get a bad vibe from this guy... an elder, rugged and I don't even think he even worked there... No matter, it was getting late. The lights flickered, people in the building were taking their clothing out. I still had another load to do and the other guy sweeping said "take your time", so I did (He didn't kick us out- ). I folded their clothing in silence then my children began to help. We finished: my daughter seemed more uplifted and my son did too. We placed our items in our truck. I went back in to thank the men that were there with us... The place was neat, the new and old washing machines worked great, were clean and the dryers did their duty. At 10:39 the place was empty and spotless. As for that man he was nowhere to be found: thank you Sir. Who ever you were. To the guy cleaning and sweeping thank you too, he was nowhere either. I laughed a little thinking hmm slightly creepy but then again I did over stay a little... they probably went home quick... any how... After the entire house being down sick for two weeks, we were just in over our head in laundry and it would have taken so long to get back on track. For that reason, our first order was a bit pricey, but for a normal week or two of laundry? Totally worth it. I was so impressed with how our clothing came back too. They listened to our request for non-scented/hypoallergenic detergent, so our toddler's eczema won't flare up. Everything was folded to perfection and organized in separate bags. Also? Softer than soft. I don't know what black magic they used but I'm super happy with the care and attention to detail. We'll absolutely be moving to a regular service.
