I wish I could rate this bank a zero for what they did to my Mother and I. My mom and I went into the bank after I asked the CSR Teresa C. Goularte over the phone if my mom had an account with the bank and she said no. When we went into the bank my mom requested that me, her only son be added to the account she did actually have. She said the systems were down and I have to fill out the information including my security questions and answers on a paper form. I asked why would they do that, she got flustered about it. She said the systems were down and they would have to add the information later and call us back to sign. Meanwhile they were calling the police to report me as as a person trying to take advantage of my own mother. I am currently on two of her other account with other banks in case of emergencies, like she becomes incapacitated. They then took my mom in a room questioned her and still allowed the cops to detain and harass me and my 77 year old mom after she said she wanted to add me. The cops harassed me some more and made us feel terrible if we were criminals. The cops also said they were going to open an investigation with adult protective services all because of what these bank employees lied about. I said lets get the camera footage out, but they refused. I called Julie the executive VP and she apologized for the false claim, but the employees were following policy. Well, I guess their policy is to have people write security questions in plain text on a piece of paper and call the cops immediately if their super wizard bank employees "Feel" something is wrong. I suggest you stay away from this bank. I am in cybersecurity and this is all wrong on so many levels. Just as an update 2-18-2026: My Mother closed her account today. She spoke to Marissa at the bank over the phone and said are you going to harass and call the police again if we go into the bank to close my account and after being on hold for an extended wait marissa said she was not sure if they would call the police. Eventually, Pinky Somel the customer service manager got on the phone and said I her son was not allowed in the bank. I took my mom to the bank and she closed her account. They never pick up the phone at the branch and they are not busy, however standing around doing nothing is more important. Pinkey and Teresa lied to the police and possibly upper management, because I questioned the security policies. read more

Best experience I've ever had with a bank. They are so friendly, always remember me and my family, and are super helpful. Very sweet people. I love the old school, people are important, attitudes. I'm very happy with this bank and will never go back to the bigger banks. We've used Washington mutual, Chase, bank of America, and Wells Fargo. None compare to Oak Valley or the people at this particular branch in Patterson. Love love Love banking here and will continue to switch out our Wells Fargo account to oak valley. (Side note: been with Wells Fargo for 10 years. Banking at the Wells Fargo in Patterson for almost 3. They never remember me. And are not helpful even when THEY make a mistake on my account. Last straw for me was when I notified them of my travel out of state and the second day away, they still locked up my card for fraud prevention. They're always locking it up when I travel, yet somehow when actual fraudulent activity happened they didn't stop it and I spent months recovering from it even having to close the account and start a new one with them. After banking with Wells Fargo for over 40 years I decided it was time to look for another banking relationship. I had heard from many people who bank with OVCB about how professional and friendly they were. I visited the bank and spoke with several of their staff. I was amazed at how helpful they were. I started a banking relationship with them and it was very positive. I set my sons up with student accounts. The staff went over every aspect of how they work with my sons and told them to call if they had any questions. I had an issue and was out of town and needed help with my sons account. Great local bank my wife just opened our acct a about a week ago and the process was so smooth and staff was super nice. Everyone made us feel welcomed and it felt like home. The staff had it nice and clean and look so nice for the fall season. Girls had smiles so you know they love there job. I will be back to open my business acct with this office. read more

Be very careful banking here. Although they are very nice, we somehow signed up for an electronic account. When they called me with the password, I tried setting up a week or so later and the password didn't work. Unbeknownst to us, this resulted in a $5 fee per month because we didn't sign up for e statements. Guess what, you don't get paper statements either!! Christmas Eve I had to go deposit to avoid them bouncing a check. It was nice of them to call, but can you believe they closed the account and don't send any notification??? Expensive lesson ! All I did was donate money to them. Don't bank here unless you have time to go visit them during their limited hours. Don't sign up for an E account unless they help you set it up!! read more
