The customer services that I was afforded by the kind lady who attended to me @ the ' Bureau De Change Desk ' on that very occasion can, perhaps, best be described as being ' exemplary ' in nature. For my parting salvo, even though I had been relieved of a certain amount of Pounds (sterling) for the services that I had requested, more importantly however, I exited the premises with a great feeling of satisfaction. I went there today (4th December) to get some stacks and was greeted by a very helpful and cheerful lady called Esther. She was able to assist me with questions to see if I could save time on queuing. She helped explain the self service areas where she showed me what to do to buy stamps. She was knowledgeable, very pleasant and such a breath of fresh air with her cheerful and care for the customer. A really positive experience - thanks Esther and all the team working at The Post Office in Peascod Street, Windsor.

There are 2 counters which are usually well staffed and the staff are friendly and helpful. They offer the usual basic counter services and foreign currency can also be ordered. There is a free village car park a few hundred yards from the post office. It seems to be a well used post office and lets hope it stays that way so it stays open. The Lane End Post Office is ideally located for people passing through to and from High Wycombe or Stokenchurch.

As a result, the queues can be enormous - stretching through the post office and out through the front shop too. As the only Post Office for miles around, I daren't criticize it too much. The staff are always helpful and the layout is clean with a well-stocked front shop. (Not so good if you've got kids with you, as they have a good array of sweets, toys and magazines). You may get lucky and manage to park on the opposite side of the road. If not, you'll have to lug your parcels half a mile from the nearest car-park.

The staff aren't the friendliest I've ever come across, nor are they the brightest, one or two counter staff have to ask everytime how to do a tax disc.

He had the parcel force card which was put through our letterbox, and three forms of ID, a credit card, a bill, and even his photo ID from work, but the staff said he needed more ID, something with my name on? We have been married for 30 years, so have the same surname strangely enough!!?? They wouldn't even speak to me on the phone to confirm he was collecting it on my behalf?? I was so upset that he had walked there for nothing, and they refused to help in any way. He has collected parcels several times before at other post offices, and never had a problem. Very poor service, and a negative uncaring attitude. The staff my husband had to deal with need total retraining. Or perhaps a change of job?
