I had water damage to one of my room upstairs due to a radiator leak. I wasn't sure if we needed to do just the 1 room or the whole upstairs since the wood is all connected. When I had spoken to him on the phone he said there may be a slightly different color if we do just the one room. So before he came out, I asked if he can get us both quotes. He came out when I wasn't home but my wife was. He didn't measure anything. Look at the room where the damage was and left. He didn't look at the rest of the upstairs. I didn't get a message for him so I texted him. He gave me a quote for the one room. I asked, do you have a quote for how much it would be for the whole upstairs. He said he didn't look at the other room upstairs. I described the size of the other room upstairs and he texted back with a quote. I asked if you can send me in writing the 2 quotes. He said he has to charge me $150 for the quotes. Then I said, "What? Why?" He never responded. Just in case he didn't see it, I text him again the next day. He didn't respond again. Extremely disappointed with him and his lack of response.

I'm so glad we picked Allex to do our floors. They showed up on time, as promised, and finished quickly in 2 days. This was a daunting task. Furniture needed to be moved out, closets emptied, etc... and then we had to leave on vacation right after the job was done. Tight schedule. Allex came in with a team and delivered. My wife was very happy with their work, and she's the one who focuses on every little detail. This company deserves to be praised for their work ethics and impecable work.

When the second person came they made it clear that they did not want to work "one more _____ minute than they had to". Clearly not happy with their work situation but I didn't need to hear it. They also did not provide a quote for my landing which was in between 2 sets of stairs so that did not get done. The biggest issue is that there were areas of my floors that needed to be addressed after they left and despite my reaching out numerous times no one ever came out to actually see what the issues were. They wanted me to send pictures which I had done twice before. Once they have your $$ they don't seem to care. Suggestion, if you do choose to use them do not pay in full until after floors are dried and you can fully inspect them.

We had a very mixed, mostly poor, experience with Floored at Home. We would not recommend this…read morecompany, especially if you have anything other than a very simple, straightforward project. After 2023 renovations of our kitchen, we had some separation between the wood boards and buckling (spring 2024). The initial assessment and estimate with Tom were great - very clear issues and methods for resolution. The team thought the reason for the separation and buckling was due to the kitchen cabinets being placed on top of the flooring rather than allowing the floor to float. They came as scheduled to remove the previous flooring and put the replacement floating bamboo flooring down - same material as the 2023 original. However, they placed one cabinet/side bar on top of the floor after installation, which worried us since we were told that this was the cause for the issue to start. After they "finished", we didn't hear from Paul (our project manager and co owner) for 9 months on this issue (after multiple calls, texts and emails from our side, no response from them). He only reached out because he realized they hadn't invoiced for our final payment -- we were wiling to pay the entire time- just wanted to hear back about the possibly incorrect installation. Paul was rude, not professional, and had horrible communication skills. The floor again separated and buckled only 10 months after they replaced it in 2024- in the exact same place that they "corrected". Since then, it's been 4-5 months of back and forth with Josh- the company owner, long periods of silence and emails ignored (overall terrible customer service), and most importantly, no execution or resolution to either the incorrect installation or repeat issue - no one has returned to our house.
