And they're actually pretty good! I know what you're thinking, pizza from a gas station in basically the middle of nowhere. I gave it a try and honestly it was tastier, and much cheaper, than the pizza down the street at The Homestead. To the families staying there, you might want to try coming here to pick up a pizza (or pizzas) to take back to the kids. Granted it's not the best pizza I've ever had but it sure beats a tiny subpar "gourmet" (not) pizza for $18!

The quality of the meat and freshness of the vegetables speaks volumes about this place. Just Excellent! Some other favorites are the fried chicken, fried chicken livers and mac and cheese. It is evident that Cheryl and Tucker take pride in what they do. Both make excellent food and they are always welcoming. Can't leave there without smiling! We met Scarlett, the manager, today. It is obvious that she cares about the overall condition of the store. It is well kept and very clean. If I could give this store 6 stars, I would!

Also, it didn't hurt to make a pitstop inside. Gas prices were on average with other nearby stations in the area. Paying at pump was where to be. Inside I made quick usage of the facilities and wanted to grab myself some drinks for the remainder of the trip. I would have used the self checkouts but I needed items from behind the counter. The line went smoothly and the employees were pleasant to deal with. Overall a decent stop at a busy location.

It is one of the very few gas stations (Exxon) in the area, and the closest one to Snowshoe within a 15 miles. In addition, it sells Blue Rhino propane gas for the gazillion home owners in the sprawling Snowshoe resort. However, compared to the Market at Big Springs, it falls short quite substantially. This is a step well below a 7-11, and its offerings have not adapted themselves to the upscale clientele at Snowshoe but instead, cover the needs of a more proletarian customer base which is a bit dissonant in a major ski resort. Gone are the specialty items, the jams and desserts, the imported hams, the prime cuts of beef, and innumerable other items. Instead, the customer is treated to slurpie machines and mediocre canned goods. I would be awarding it two or perhaps one star were it not for the large specialty beer selection in the huge walk-in refrigerated area. They actually have a fairly large selection of micro brews and specialty beers. That is the saving grace of this store... About the only place to shop in the dead seasons between ski and cycling...

This review is a year-in-the-making, but as I was coming back towards the northeast on I-81 I saw a sight for sore eyes -- a NEW Buc-ee's located in Mt. Crawford, VA! Mind you, it was opening week and this is the most northern location on the East Coast -- so you know it was packed! Regardless of the number of people, nothing -- not food, nor clothes , nor supplies -- was ever lacking! Everything was being bought out, and at the same time being replenished. Service was amazing, and their new Chicken and Fries were amazing! You need to get it with their dipping sauces, though. Buc-ee's was beautifully decorated for the grand opening, and traffic was flowing in and out easily. I'm sooooo happy that there is a Buc-ee's located on the 81 corridor, this is going to be one of my favorite stops on my trips! Gotta visit the BEAVER!

Food labeled with ingredients - noted I did pick up a fried chicken sandwich (seemed popular) and I will note in the display picture I saw a sauce on it that I pointed out to my partner as I wasn't sure what it was (he thought it was mayo/ I thought cheese and it ended up being a sauce) There wasn't a label on the display from what it was that I could see. It may have been my poor eyesight and will note they DID list all the packaging ingredients on the wrapper for food allergy in a big paragraph. But if you're a picky eater like me and want a brief restaurant-style menu item recap, I would be prepared to ask an employee. Fresh food was neatly packaged and hot food was hot. Beverage/ coffee areas were tidy and labeled. Buc-ee's is known for its bathrooms(according to Wikipedia), and this location definitely lived up to that culture. Lots of stalls and stocked bathroom areas. Parking was plentiful, with clear traffic signals and directions. Shopping carts were stored near the front doors if you wanted to grab one. I don't think I saw any places outside to return the cart so looked like you would have to keep it inside or wheel back to store if you wanted to drop off items to car. Areas for pets to take a break and smoker area were marked and looked well maintained. Despite the store being quite busy when we visited, the employees were friendly and mindful. Staff members were courteous and never seemed to be rushing or shoving past/around customers while in a hurry to complete their tasks. Some of staff were wheeling around things like carts full of products/ holding boxes, and I never felt like I would get bumped into by them. We had a positive experience asking for food samples and ordering items from behind the counter. We checked out at two different entrances as we made two trips. During checkout, I asked one employee even about the chanting and they took the time to enthusiastically explain what the chefs were chanting and shared a bit about the company culture, which explained yelling for fresh-goods. The only minor issue I encountered was when purchasing glassware. The cashier initially tried to place a Shotglass in a plastic bag with several other regular normal items, and I had to ask for additional wrapping to help protect it. He then wrapped it in an extra plastic bag. Would've been nice to have paper or something at the register to wrap it safely. Without the extra padding, it likely would have broken during the drive home. It's also a hazard if it's dropped in the parking lot, gas station areas or honestly anywhere on the premises. So that's why I'm giving 4 stars today. Otherwise, they very charming and smiling - great customer service at the very front entrance to come in. Overall, we had a very good experience and want to stop again at this gas station during our road trips if we are in area.

I love the white cheddar beaver nuggets and the buc-ee's brand soda is incredible! They have an island that makes it easy to craft a dirty soda too There's a slew of gas station pumps and what felt like a never ending wall of beef jerky and fudge options! I tried the pulled pork sandwich and I wanted the chicken tenders but didn't wanna waste food since I wasn't that hungry. Love this spot can't wait to come again!

What you are going to notice right away is that it is massive. There are so many gas pumps as well as parking spots outside. And then the inside is huge as well. We actually came twice..... the 2nd time it was mobbed with people, despite the size. Food decent and prices reasonable. Tried a few different bbq options. Not the best bbq sandwiches I've had, but very satisfying for road trip food. Will definitely want to return
