Amending my review for the service side of things. Got a fuel problem over the weekend and an alert to prime before cranking. Basically, there was air somewhere along the fuel pathway disrupting the truck from turning over. Watched YouTube and figured out how to fix it, then confirmed at dealer that fault codes were clear. We learned that although shops change fuel filters and fuel/water separator filter they won't push the air through and prime the system. Also one of the bolts was loose on the oil pan. Smh. What I look like rolling under a semi tightening some screws? Remind me to increase my life insurance policy. read more

Showers were clean and Fancy. Food is good. Mechanical was successful . Plenty of Parking.

Scheduled work to be done in the shop. They gave me an 8 am appointment for the next day. I go in at 8 am and heard "my bad... the guy that does this work doesn't come in until the next day. Thought well I still need tires rotated so asked to get that done, they said yes but 3 hours later still not called into the shop... went in to check and the clerk could care less. I told him I won't be coming back and again, no concern. The attitude is fine as long as don't need anything done. But it's a repair shop, my guess is they won't be making any money. It's too bad because the owners have expanded the parking lot to 450 spots and put all this money into the property and the shop is driving truckers away. read more

This is a great, and convenient - true truck stop. It has about all you would need while travelling or living on the road. Their Fresh made food is excellent. (Please leave some of the fried apple pies for me!) Their coffee is good. I don't like it super caffeinated or acidic - theirs isn't. read more

Well sometime in the last year they reopened the "theater". They should just call it "TV room" since it's no longer a theater. Which is just as well since all their movies were old crap we've all seen more than enough times we all have the scripts memorized. The only reason I gave only 1 additional star was if you go the big Chrome/truck supply/and large clothing area you will see they are trying to force themselves out of business by way price gouging their customers. Very much like IOWA 80 group (which this place may as well be) and Sapp Bros. Just one example, I purchased Rand McNally Large Deluxe Laminated for $56 at Loves (which is probably jacked up more than enough itself) but those other 2 mentioned above jack it up even more at $100! Would be one of the best truck stops in the country except for 1 thing . No wifi in the parking lot. They will tell you there is free wifi, but it doesn't really reach outside the building. Almost all truck stops in the US has WiFi it may not be free but it is available. I end up using their parking lot and leaving, never take my restarts there. read more

450 spots for truckers. Now that's what I'm talking about! And don't worry about having to walk a mile and a half inside because they have a "Petro Shuttle". They also have a full deli, which is unusual for Petro, with items such as turkey legs, ham, corn on the cob, chicken, potato and macaroni salad, desserts, pickles and hot fudge that is made IN store! In the store they sell all kinds of items such as DVDs for 7.99, audiobooks, GPS, Bluetooth headsets, purses, canned food items and even underwear! You'll also find a few discount bins with things like headsets for 14.99 and good, sturdy headphones for 5.99. Excellent deals! The showers were fairly nice as the water pressure was to die for. We had plenty of towels, a hair dryer, fan and it was even decorated with beautiful flowers. If you end up having to wait for a shower, there is a fairly large television lounge with a few drop-the-claw and gambling machines. The Iron Skillet restaurant is wonderful. They have a large buffet and on Fridays, they offer a special Seafood buffet for 13.99 and includes items such as stuffed crab, shrimp casserole, boiled shrimp, mussels, catfish, salmon and fried shrimp. Pam was an OUTSTANDING waitress! She was so sweet and came over to help us when our waitress was MIA. Much appreciated after an 11 hour day! Overall, this is one of the better Petro facilities that we've been to and I always look forward to stopping here after a long day. Now if only they served alcohol in the restaurant ;) read more

Nice facility but the deli has no prices on anything because everything is way overpriced. They just hope you will grab something and bring it to the register and not want to bother putting it back when you find drinks are $1 higher than anywhere else you go. Arizona tea $2.09. .99 cents every where else. Starbuck can ice coffee $2.59 everywhere is $3.59 here. If they actually put price on anything no one would buy anything so they don't bother with advertising the price. Enjoy the restaurants but avoid the deli. read more

As I was filling up at a gas station nearby, I noticed a loud air leaking sound near my rear passenger side tire. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the ugliest self tapping screw head stuck in my poor $370 tire. "Motherf--!" was my initial reaction, much like anyone else would say/do! Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!! Trying to be on the brighter side of things, I thought to myself, "Oh well, self, at least it happened at a truck stop!" I drove myself slowly towards the Petro Shop--it's where they perform round-the-clock service. Now they usually don't work on us "four wheelers" but if you're nice enough and they're not swamped, they'll bend over backwards for you. Now God knows everyone and their mom from New Jersey and other so-called "civilized locales" have something smart or snide to say about country people from Appalachia, but as my dad says, "travel erases prejudice." My tire was fixed by a professional man that was detailed and quick. He got down on the pavement on his back and did a hell of a job. The guys in the shop refused payment and instructed me to just tip the service tech. Since I had a feeling he'd also refuse, I put $30 inside a NASA FCU envelope from my glovebox and quickly handed it to him as I rushed away so he couldn't say anything. Tons of parking for one. I went in to take a shower, awesome ppl here and the place was the cleanest I have seen a truck stop. I ate at popeyes here and the gentlemen in front of me was very rude to say it nicely to the cashier. Ill give her all the credit in the world with how she handled it though. Calm and with a smile. I'm not a trucker, just a traveler, and this is the most awesome "truck stop" I've ever experienced. It includes the usual gift shop, eatery, clean bathrooms... Showers and truck parts for the truckers, but oh so much more. It's like a mini mall. There are several fast food eateries, a pharmacy similar to a mini CVS, a movie theater (!!!), and a "deli" loaded with delicious homemade hot food, Troyer Amish meats and cheeses from Ohio, and great prices on Amish canned goods. Oh... also the best fried pies ever!!! If you travel on I-81, make a point to stop here, and don't miss the "deli" section for ribs, BBQ, turkey legs, and more... All at great prices! read more

This truck stop is pretty good there is good clean bathrooms and lots of choices to eat like papa johns, subway, and Popeyes. Good stop!

Today we stopped here, my children needed to use the bathroom and we were so excited at how many "neat"things it had to purchase. We have a pretty big order to purchase. We all had our masks on. I have a daughter who is deaf and relies on reading lips to communicate. I look around and no one was around us so I pulled my mask down to speak to her so she could understand me, then pulled it up. An extremely RUDE employee walked by me and very rude and sarcastically stated "mask need to be up" with some other words and proceeded to talk about us with her other employees. I will not be back. We were all wearing masks and abiding by the rules. But when it comes to my daughter understanding me I will do what I need to. Don't mess with my kids. Sorry lost our sale and business. Had my company truck dropped here for repair here on Monday,told em what was wrong and that was needed back on Friday for my trip home. It's now Friday afternoon and truck still not fixed. Called Thurs to see when I could pick up this truck, ,,,,they had forgotten me, ,,,, night shift guy was supposed to fix,,,,, left half way through the job and left for the day turn guy who is trying his best... I love this stop! Great food and great service and then there's caribou coffee to boot! I went in for salads and the ladies were taking down the salad and fruit bar and stopped and said help yourself and it was great! Tons of fresh veggies to top your salad and affordable! Don't eat here!! I got E-Coli from the double bacon cheese burger I got 2 nights ago and have been suffering from it for the past 24 hours!!! I know it was from the burger here because it's the only thing I ate separate from the rest of my family that night.
