    Wildcat Provisions - Bagged Avocados

Well, if you're here reading this you likely also made the mistake of not stopping earlier. Can…read moreconfirm Wildcat is the only food market within an hour + radius. We brought some food up from home, but stopped here to get a few things to get us through the weekend. Wildcat is definitely more of a convience store than a grocery market. The options were limited, but there's definitely enough to get you by! (Granted if you're a vegetarian that's a different story). Pricing is definitely expensive, but what really got me was that there's no prices on the items in the store!! Nor can you see the cost per item when they're ringing you up. Had I not read these reviews I def would've had more sticker shock when it came time to check out. The last review outlining what the store had in stock is a bit dated so I'll update yall who are reading this in 2024 - this is a list of what I remember seeing - Fridge items: Meats (chicken, ground beef, steak, etc), milk, creamer, eggs, sliced turkey/ham, sliced cheese, yogurt, soda, juice, & beer (have beer den) Frozen items: frozen pizzas, pizza bites, pot pies, meatballs, broccoli, green beans, other frozen/steam veggies, chicken/veggie pasta options Shelf items: lots of chips/snacks, bread (white and honey wheat), pasta sauce, pasta, soups, ramen, on/jelly/nutella, etc

It is closer to being a convenience store than it is to being a grocery store. What I wished somebody else would've done in other reviews before I came here was to list some of the items to be found here, so that's what I'm doing now-- There is hardly any fresh produce. What was there was: oranges, bananas, blueberries, apples, avocado (presliced and sealed), peppers, tomatoes, baby carrots, lemons/lime. There are eggs, but they are $4 a dozen. There's butter, cheese (no fancy cheese to go with wine, though), milk, yogurt, some meat (pork chops, chicken breasts, NY strip steak, bacon, bologna). There's a variety of ice cream. For pantry items: an assortment of chips and snacks, oatmeal, canned beans and other canned items. I was not impressed with the bread selection (lots of white and some honey wheat). There's bagels, but its $7.50 for a bag. There's stuff for baking- sugar, flour, etc. There's wine and beer, like others have mentioned. I was hoping for some fresh local goods, like pies or breads, but there's none of that to be found here. There are also some basic items you find in convenience stores- toiletries, plastic plates and utensils, toilet paper, paper towels, foil, plastic wrap, ziploc bags.

Being…read morein Sheetz country I was happy to see there was one on the next exit on the highway I was on. This location wasn't far from the highway and right next to some retail, noticeably next to a Walmart. This is your typical Sheetz setup that we have all been accustom to recently. Decent amount of pumps to do a quick fuel run and more than enough parking if you need to just do a Sheetz run. There are Tesla chargers here if that's your thing. Inside I was pleasantly surprised that they still had the fresh brewed iced tea and not one of those dispensers. I tapped the screen a few times and ordered myself some breakfast sandwiches to take on with me for the rest of my road trip. Prior to leaving I made sure to stretch my legs outside before getting back on the road. It was a warm day, and being morning it was a nice break before getting back into my vehicle.

As such, my photos will likely be outdated in March. I visited this Sheetz on the day that it was temporarily closing. I wanted to buy gas for my vehicle as well as snacks and beverages. The store had a sufficient number of gas pumps, and the price for the gas was average. The store had partially empty refrigerators and shelves of foods and beverages, but I found some snacks and beverages that I liked. I waited in the checkout line for a couple of minutes. The cashier had a pleasant personality, and she thanked me and told me to have a nice day.

I actually have not enjoyed an experience at a gas station so much before, lol. The bathrooms were extremely clean AND stocked with not only soap but a cherry almond hand wash/scrub. It's meant to remove grease and grime, but I had to try it and omg. It made my hands feel so soft and smooth and smelled so nice, I was so excited. I also figured I'd grab some coffee, and I was expecting the typical sparse gas station set up, but I didn't realize they had specialty coffee here! I tried the Cinnamon Roll Cold Brew and I'm still in awe at how delicious it was. I was already a happy camper, when I noticed the glass cabinet full of handmade glass trinkets. Of course I wanted a souvenir to remember this 10/10 gas station experience, so I ended up purchasing the cutest little glass gecko. They do also have showers and over the loud speaker, you could hear the announcement when the next one was available. It seemed like a very organized process. At the checkout, the man working was very friendly and I also picked up some very reasonably priced homemade dog treats. Definitely stop in here if you're around!

Mt Top Convenience…read more Shades of Colassessano's Matriculating into Fairmont State in the 1960's entailed an array of eventful activities which enhance and develop life. As a subscriber of direct on campus education, I eagerly embraced campus life. One element was selecting membership in Theta Xi. Weekly meetings were accompanied by a Theta Xi gathering at Colassessano's which was a colorful Fairmont Pub. Sadly this institution has been replaced by a sanitized version. During that era, Pittsburgh beers appealed to the working class, and popular labels included Iron City Lager, Fort Pitt Beer, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Schlitz, Miller High Life.... As a three year high school letterman, and scholar athlete, I had zero experience with beer, wine, spirits, and shine - all were available to Fairmont State students. I was not yet eligible to hold a draft card. While Theta Xi brothers debate the advantage of various Pittsburgh beers, I was happy to purchase a pitcher of nearly any cold draft. Given decades of European travel, I developed a palette for several German and European brews; none of which were offered at Colassessano's. In retrospect it is this appreciation of European brews that spared me from the emerging micro brewing craze. Ok, some of these brews are very good, and several are horrendous. It was at Colassessano's and the publican that I encountered my first Pepperoni Roll. Home baked rolls included mozzarella, ricotta, and Parmigiano. And Oliverio's Hot Peppers were added to this bundle from heaven. Later we learned to cherish the Colassessano's pizza. This pie seemed to approximate a Chicago deep dish pie with mozzarella, ricotta, and Parmigiano, Oliverio's Hot Peppers, pepperoni, hot sausage, .... Mt Top Convenience is listed on the West Virginia Pepperoni Trail, and for good reason. I take care to phone in an order form Ohio one day in advance of pickup. Of course, I visit the local Davis grocery store for a dozen bottles of Oliverio's Hot Peppers. I take care to import Pilsner Urquell and Guinness Stout for this ski holiday. Yes, Guinness Stout is better in Ireland. Mt Top Convenience offers a variety of interesting brews, and there are several microbreweries in this area. Mt Top Convenience offers a great take on pepperoni rolls. Caveat: do Not take chances with filling station pepperoni rolls which are pre-packaged. Our goal is to support local business, and our menu and dining options for this holiday will center on local West Virginia businesses.
