Oh the memories! As a kid I spent some time with my parents at what was the Dew-Drop In which is now Oak Avenue Pub. Former owners Adeline and her husband were always a delight. I remember playing tunes on the juke box, various video games, rolling dice on the bar and sipping on a Sun Drop while eating Tombstone pizza..laws were less strict back in those days.
Fast forward to 2015 and the bar is seemingly the same from the outside except for the new sign however the inside got a fresh facelift. Gorgeous wood lines the walls, the game room looks/feels more open and they've added a few flat screen TVs. Oak Ave. is a full bar with a few taps and about 4 wine offerings (mini bottles). We caught the tail end of a Packers win here and the new owner made a round of festive shots for the bar. We enjoyed a couple rounds and spent some time catching up with a mother and son that I hadn't seen since I was about 8 years old.
You have to love a small town bar with charm. Bonus, purse hooks at the bar! read more
