My family was in Shawano over Memorial Day but, never made it here. We booked a different Lake House this time and decided to come and eat dinner and watch the Bucks. The atmosphere was buzzing. Our waitress was quick at our table. My Brother requested a beer from Central Waters in Amherst, WI and the waitress had know idea what or where the brewery was. My Brother noticed they had Spotted Cow on tap! You can carry a beer from 3 hours away but not a local beer?!?!? We ordered cheese curds and onion rings for apps. The onion rings were really good with a chipotle sauce. The curds were a little over cooked. We ordered a 16" deluxe thin pizza. The pizza was good except the sauce had not much flavor. Parents live in the area so we have driven by Brothers' Pub many times. I've been jealous of joy being able to stop on many of those occasions. Tonight we finally stopped for the Friday fish and a chicken sandwich. Both were very tasty and didn't seemed rushed. The service was a little odd, three different servers helped us and service was great just seemed scattered. One small thing that I would notice was that the bar was not full but we seemed to be rushed out. We had one server literally drop the check and another was at the table to run the card before we were even able to look at the bill. This was a turn off. I've been to Brother's only a few times including only once post remodel. The new expanded area is very well done. The entire remodel area is lined with overhead garage doors. I envision this will be enjoyable during the summer months and provide that open air feel. This was an excellent concept. I wish they would have made a rooftop deck area to provide something really unique but I'm happy with what they've done. There are no fewer than 12 large screen tv's in the newly remodeled area. A great space to watch any sporting event. With the expansion has come an increased customer base. Either I've visited on atypical days or Brother's is still adapting to the larger clientele. On my most recent visit, there were several empty tables that were not timely cleared. Our table of 4 ordered pizza. The waitress correctly noted we didn't have plates and she remarked she should bring us plates (duh). She brought us 3 plates and didn't recognize on her own that she couldn't count to 4. For the number of patrons the place was understaffed and the wait staff seemed under motivated. The manager (likely owner) came around and appologized for the staff. He seemed to be the one person bustling his butt to keep up. The rest of the staff didn't seem to have the same energy or enthusiasm toward customer service. Brother's needs to give the help a kick in the backside or they will lose the momentum the new expansion has brought. Prices are typical of the area sports bars. The quality of the food is also what you would expect from bar food. I look forward to checking out Brother's in the summer months when the overhead doors are open. Stopped at Brothers Pub after trying a different establishment that was an hour long wait. So glad we tried it. It was busy but our service from one brother was great. Took our order quickly and answered all our questions without hesitation. The food was great. We had appetizers that came out right away and the portion sizes were huge. Took a drive around the lake to try and find a bite to eat on Memorial Day. Most of the places we passed were closed due to the holiday, so when we came upon this spot and saw it was open we decided to give it a try. SO GLAD WE DID! This place is great! Started with some fried pickles. Personally, I am not a fan of pickles, fried or otherwise. I tried one, just because I always do, and I was actually pleasantly surprised at how tasty it really was. For my meal, I went with the Dixie pulled pork sandwich and beer battered fries. Wow. I was truly impressed at how delicious everything was. The sandwich was super yummy. Huge portion. Toasted bun, sweet barbecue pulled pork, and coleslaw. It was the perfect combination and the ratio of bun:pork:coleslaw was spot on. The fries, oh man! SO GOOD. Definitely go with the beer battered if you stop here! Everyone in the party seemed thoroughly satisfied with their meals, and we all left feeling happy and full. A+ for food! On top of stellar food, the service was outstanding as well! We chatted with the owner briefly, and had a couple other servers helping us throughout the meal. Everyone was fantastic. I really like the recent addition they put on. Nice and roomy and semi-decent view of the lake across the street. However the country music they were blasting at 11a.m. was a huge turn off. I ordered fish tacos without onions and guess what, when I got my tacos they were loaded with onions. YUCK. They had already closed their kitchen, we explained to them what had happened to us and they re-opened their kitchen for us! We were so appreciative that they did that for us! Brothers' Pub is my friends' and my favorite restaurant/bar in Shawano Co. There are 16 different beers on tap plus numerous different types of beer in a bottle. I've been to Brothers' many times and the beer is always cold and the service is always great. The menu is awesome. Tons of choices and everything I've had has been great and served promptly. The Friday fish fries are the best in town by far. The building is well kept and always clean and well presented. Brothers' has something to offer for everyone, no matter your age or taste. During the day, whether you're on the water or on the road, it is a great place to stop with the family. There are two docks across the street for boat parking which makes it extremely convenient for boaters that are looking for a quick meal or meeting place. During the evening, after the kitchen closes, the bar gets a great younger crowd and I've always had a good time. The owners are courteous and always keep their patrons safe but they also create a very fun environment at the same time. Boaters, bikers, campers, and everyone else are always welcome. Ask for the specials because there's always something going on. Join the sign-in and ask for the "shake-of-the-day." It's fun. read more

A great place to go for a great burger but even better pork (and I live in the Deep South). They have a great beer selection and a lot of tvs. The owner was attentive as were the other servers/bartenders. Burger is worth the trip, but the pork takes the cake. It was an ok experience, but the main reason I will remember this bar is because of the false advertising. All over the bar is advertises the beer of the week for 2.50$. We get our bill after an ok meal and the beer of the week is charged at 3.50$. It may seem like a little change, but on 3 different signs it says 2.50$. When we asked our waitress about it she said it's because the beer was a 23 oz. I felt this was such a scam because all we asked for was a beer of the week. This is ridiculous that they upcharge you without asking. When going to pay it took about 10 minutes of us sitting there before our waitress finally came back to collect our card. From there we gave them 2 cards each on their respective receipts. From there our waitress handed the cards to a gentleman who then charged both of the bills on our card. Not using the other card.
