First things first, give that man FERNANDO a raise!!! Or I might try to poach him from you! He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, ON THE SPOT when I needed to ask a question, but was also very chill and non pushy. Ugh I can't stand pushy! He was probably the single most efficient salesperson I've ever dealt with. I couldn't believe how quick and seamless the transaction was. I got to my car and had to reassess the next thing on my to-do list because I had so much extra time. He made me feel like he actually cared about helping me get what I wanted instead of just hurrying things along because he had something better to do. I just moved to the area and have been to EVERY furniture place around. But I won't go to another after going to Oak and Sofa. Simply because of the 1st rate service I got from Fernando. Wasn't greeted. My mom was the one that wanted to purchase a living room set but she needed someone to talk Spanish and they didn't even offer her that service. There was two people and nobody offered to explain anything even though I knew English. So unprofessional just kept gossiping with each other instead of helping paying customer's. read more

Honestly, I waited a while to write this review because I did not want to write it out of anger. But I've thought about my experience here and I warn people NOT to get their furniture from here. I wrote a six paragraph review of why NOT to get your furniture from here but yelp states it's too long to post. So a condensed version is I spent $4,000 dollars here to be treated like nothing. They do not care about you and they truly show it here. They work off commission, so if you don't make them money you're not getting quality help. They tell you not to go off their website photographs (why have a website with photographs if you can't go off them??) Delivery takes forever! But I will say the only thing positive about this place is the delivery service. I wish I would have gotten their names, they did a good job. Except they showed up an hour after the store said they'd be there. Also if they mess up on a piece of your furniture, it's totally your fault! They messed up on my fireplace and ordered the wrong part! The guy tried to make it seem like he was refunding me for inconvenience (because I live 40 minutes away and went into the store for something they could have called me about). He actually overcharged me and was giving me back what they owed me but he made it seem like he was helping me. read more

Unfortunately I did not receive my furniture as promised on November 30th I did not get it till almost three weeks later. When I did receive it it came in pieces where they had to put it together. After sitting on it for 3 weeks the sofa set you can actually feel the particle board through the feet and through the arm sections. It is very cheaply made. When I called after the holidays because of holiday rush and asked if I could exchange for better quality furniture they said I only have two weeks for the exchange. I will not shop there ever again. Minor hitch was they gave the higher mattress board & the delivery guys didn't want to go back to change it. Came in over the memorial day weekend to look for a sofa. I had the following requests: dark brown, plushy & had to be long enough to lay down & WANT to take a nap :) They had an awesome sale on a sofa/love seat combo ($299ish range for each). The employee was courteous & allowed us space & answered any questions. That day was NUTS - my kids were acting up, my husband was tired of sofa shopping & I really just intended to have a looksee. So thank you to the employee that unfortunately I didn't get the name of, for having the patience of a saint with us! He suggested a sectional in the same style, but only had it online. I ended up buying it, not even remembering to measure! It came in within 2-3 days, they loaded it into the truck, provided rope & tied it down for free. It fit perfectly in our small living room. I've had nothing but bad experiences with this business. My husband and I went on there 3 weeks ago to order and pick up some barstools and a dining room table with chairs (because a good friend of mine got her living room set through the one in Visalia and said she had a great experience) so, I figured it would be the same for me. Boy, was I mistaken. First off, we were going to just pick up some barstools off the showroom floor because they had like, 10, in stock. They were ALL wobbly! We even stood them up on a dresser, because they're floors in that store are uneven, and they were still wobbly... So, we ended up ordered 2 barstools with a dining room table and 4 chairs. We paid in full for EVERYTHING, got our receipt and the guy helping us said the barstools should be there on the next delivery day and the table/chairs would be in 2-3 weeks. Our barstools came in 4 days late AND I had to call THEM to find out that they were finally in. When we came to pick them up, guess what... Still wobbly. We ended up picking the LEAST wobbly ones out of the entire store, which one one that we ordered, and one off the floor. That isn't even the bad part my friends... Two weeks from the order date go by, I call the store... They tell me the table isn't in yet, but to let them call the wear house to see if it just didn't come in on the load yet.. They call me back and say, "Yes ma'am, it should be coming in on our next delivery day." So, I wait... Their next delivery day comes and goes, I was at work all day and completely forgot to call them (which, I shouldn't have to anyway, they should call ME). SO, three weeks from the order date go by and I give the store yet another call. The manager tells me my table/chairs still aren't in and that he'll call the wear house to see if they're there. He calls me back telling me that they are not in the wear house and that he actually called the manufacturer and that the table/chairs had been DISCONTINUED! Really? So, apparently, the guy who took my order decided he would take my payment in full, but not check if the product I was paying over $600 for was even in stock. I was absolutely livid. I went into the store, ended up getting a full refund after they couldn't find the table anywhere (as a display or otherwise). They couldn't put my refund back to our card, so they had to mail us out a CHECK, which btw, irritated me as well because any business is supposed to be able to refund your money the way you paid... I had to go out of my way to go to the bank to deposit this check! But, hey I guess I got my money back? Then, the manager hands us a card that would take 15% off of our next purchase from there. Nice thought, but there's no way in hell I'll ever purchase from you guys again. read more

My mom was wanting a few pieces of furniture and didn't want to spend a lot of money. She picked out a small dinette, sofa, 2 matching rocker recliners, a small end table and they were all in stock except one for one of the recliners. We ordered the one recliner and we were told it would be in on Tuesday. ( We bought everything on Saturday) And yes today is Tuesday and they were in as promised. Matt was our salesperson and he was extremely professional, friendly and helpful. As soon as we walked in he greeted us and explained where everything was located. We said we wanted to look around and he respected that and let us browse the store. When we had questions, he was available. I appreciated the fact that he was patient with my mom, who is a older and likes to chat a lot! Customer service is very important and if we hadn't received that upon arriving we probably would have turned around and left. There were other salespeople walking around and I did notice they weren't as friendly. I don't understand that when a customer is in a store and a staff member walks by and can't even say hello. They just walk by looking straight ahead so not to make eye contact....strange. So again, Thanks Matt for making our shopping trip fast and easy. read more

If I could give no stars I would, first let me start by saying if you are gonna do the 90 days same as cash you are about to be robbed, I negotiated a price for a sectional couch they had and then was walked over to the people at the desks inside the store, I did some of the paperwork and then it hit me the price they were showing me was without taxes. I was informed that there was a 49 dollar processing fee which I was okay with, what I wasn't ok with is the price I negotiated was for the company inside of the store, she said oh yeah we buy the couch from them and sell it to you at our price, so its our price you are paying 90 days same as cash. Come to find out not only do they charge a $49 dollar processing fee but they also mark up the items you are buying 15%!!! So its a good thing I noticed the scam because I would of paid almost $400 more than I would have buying from the salesman. Its almost criminal what they are doing and its sad because I seen the stack of files of people they had already took for hundreds of dollars. Oh and if you go a day over the 90 days your total price jumps another 150% more than what you owed originally mine would of been almost 4 grand for a couch! I went to visalia branch and got same couch out the door with free shipping for lower than my price negotiated in Hanford! Stay away from Hanford store crap customer service, rude, and scam artists! read more

I went here earlier this month to purchase a mattress, box spring, and metal railing for the bed. I was told it would take 1-2 weeks for my order to come in because they didn't have it in store at the time. I waited 2 weeks and 3 days until i finally got my order in. When i called to check on my order at about 1 week 5 days, they told me they had no order under my name and it scared me since i paid for my whole order in cash. Eventually we figured things out and found out that the employee who helped me misspelt my name(even though i gave him my ID at the time of purchase.) when the order came in, mom picked up my bed for me from when i was at work, she had my receipt and a guy helped her load everything into her van. We came home and realized they forgot to gave us the rails which really sucked. I called back the next day and asked for a refund on the rails because i found some for cheaper, and a guy told me he would call me whenever my check was ready for pick up. I waited 5 days, no call, just to call them back and find out the manager had no idea what i was talking about. These people seem like they have no idea what they're doing and are always getting things mixed up. I just want me refund back and im not sure if i will ever come back... Very disappointed. Update: Finally received my refund check in the mail and my last name is spelt wrong despite the fact that i handed several people my ID there while going to ask about the check and while placing my order in the first place. Now i am going to have to wait even longer to get it corrected so my bank will accept it. I would give this place 0 stars if possible. read more

This is the worst place to buy furniture. 90 days same as cash is a lie. Before the 90 days hit I went to make last payment and they said I owed more than what I contracted for. All of a sudden they said that I had charges that weren't on contract. I will not ever go to that store for anything. And they kept saying that would deliver and it took over 2 weeks and they kept coming up with excuses about not having the driver for the deliveries. So I ended up having to get them myself. Customer service at its best. My wife and I were looking for bedroom sets and a dining table set for our new home. Got the opportunity to work with Mark. Mark is an exceptional sales tech, who allowed us the time to look at multiple furniture sets. When questions on mattress types came up, he educated us on the different types and styles that we would be comfortable sleeping in. He showed us the difference between mattress styles, based on preference, and helped us decide on what's best for us. Once we decided on the furniture sets we wanted, Mark took the time to give us the best deal on each set, and provided us with a great rate on delivery and assembly. Mark even went to great lengths to call me back, identify an error in pricing, and worked with me to make corrections and credit me the difference. We would not have known there was an issue until final delivery, which would have been troublesome. Mark was proactive and prevented that from even happening.
